We didn't…read moreknow what we should have done with the recyclables so we were asked to come back again to sort our stuff out which I believe is right as we didn't know what we were doing and they advised us that we have to sort it out as the county and the state takes it really seriously and even handed us a handbook on recycling which we learned a lot from and they were really nice people. We went back with our sorted items and it was seamless, because we did our part and they just had to do theirs! If your item is wet, or not sorted out they have every right to turn you away FYI ya gurl did some reading lol. Waited for our items to be weighed and collected the refund for it! Which is awesome DIDNT know I could get gas money for the stuff I brought in. Thank you KCRS, for keeping the island and the landfills clean and also for giving back to the people and the community. Will definitely recommend anyone looking for a hi 5 redemption centre. Also just some heads up for anyone new 1. Make sure to separate all your recyclables, and make sure it's DRY!!! small bottles should be in its own bag or bag (0-17 fl oz) mixed bottles should be in its own bag too (0.68 fl oz). So if you actually separate the small from the bigs you can actually get more since it's at a $1.315 per lb instead of a $0.94 per lb, which is the state price. Aluminium should be on its own, and remember don't mix the bi metals with the aluminium or you gonna have to wait or go back in line to sort it out again. An example for bi metal would be the waikoko coconut water that can is actually made out of bi metal it can't be crushed as easily as aluminium! And your glass should be separated too! So every item should be separated in their own category. Trust me this will save a lot of time for you and them and you'll be out there in a breeeeeze! Oh I almost forget wine and liquor bottles won't be accepted as a hi-5 as it isn't applicable for redemption. Hope this helps! I recommend sorting out your plastics and cans before coming to recycle just so it saves you time and other peoples time lol while categorizing them in the bins. Anywho, don't come thinking one bag of recyclables will give you a fortune *smack my head*

Recycling is a good thing!…read more Want to be paid to clean your house? Just collect all of your aluminum cans, glass bottles, and plastic bottles, then bring them here! Sort out your glass bottles by color...clear, green, brown, etc. It's easier to weigh your bottles and cans, but for those who want a hand count, that's available, too. Service is efficient. Just drive up and park nearby. Pour your sorted cans (and bottles) into a plastic bin. A worker will pour your bin into another container and weigh your items. As well as it does add up just taking a moment to set some recyclables aside really didn't disturb my routine as I thought it would acting with a bit of resistance now is a feeling of good. This Kapolei location is in the heart of Kapolei Shopping Center right beside Safeway along side the GreenDrop container it is in a nice spot of convenience for us all in many ways as I had errands this was the perfect spot to do a quick drop off and though there was just one guy doing it all it was fast and easy. Canning our cans…read more.. At first I didn't really took to the recycling system as the idea to wash and sort felt like it wasn't something that would be an ideal way to help with recycling but it's not the volume but every effort does make a difference. Though I don't do much drinking as it seems but it all adds up as one bottle water from lunch or a bottle water and even some drinks from work gets accumulated slowly gaining volume is where I feel the great feeling of turning them in and not for the HI5 but just knowing that it does help. I do love this Ewa location that's right between Ewa Shopping Center and Ewa Beach Elementary School is a huge container and a few dedicated parking stalls to easily turn in your items is so quick and easy. The staff here are efficient and helpful with it all it just took less than a minute and keeping the eco flow feels great. Thank you!

Maybe it's my fault go there take chances if they can take my bottles..they close 5pm..and be there…read more20 mins before 5..I carried my bag of bottles there and the guys said sorry we don't have any money..wow really..then why they still open then.. I just drop my other bags of bottles and cans which gonna coz like maybe 10 bucks so I said to the guys .. u can have it then.. I don't wanna bring it home coz iwanna get rid of it..we'll learning lesson don't come late as 20 mins before before close ..but definitely not going there again..
