The previous reviewer was RIGHT ON, I wish I would have read her review before going to see Dr. Drabkin. I waited over an hour to see the Doctor for about 1minute. I have been dealing with a skin rash for about 4 months and he was COMPLETELY uninterested in my previous experiences and only wanted to push his own diagnosis. I was prescribed some new cream after repeatedly telling him that creams have not worked. I am planning on writing a letter to my insurance provider as well regarding this visit. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE experience. When I left in tears the nurse didnt even ask if I was ok, just handed me my prescription and left. THey were however more than happy to schedule me a follow up appointment.... I will not however be following up with them. read more

Don't go here. He is terrible. I've never waited so long to see any doctor. He only cares about how much he can profit. He never fixes your acne issues. He tries to sell his products and says you can only use the products he sells. He takes advantage of your vulnerablity. His make up made my face look orange. He only made my skin worse. read more

Dr. Drabkin has some sort of listening deficit. When I brought my daughter in for an appointment, he kept harping on ACNE issues (she's in high school but has pretty good skin) although we were there for an unrelated condition. He kept bringing the conversation back to acne, and when we left the office, my daughter said to me, "Gee, do I really look that bad?" I said, "No, but he probably makes aa ton of money on teenage acne anxiety, so that's why he's pushing it." I mentioned this to a friend who formerly went to Drabkin and she had a similar experience with him--he did not want to address the problem she went in for and kept insisting on pushing another issue. Then he accused HER of not listening!!! Also, as with many doctors, his waiting room time is out of control. read more

I wouldn't even give this Doctor one star...he's terrible...all of the previous reviews were spot on. I wish I had seen them. :( I waited an hour for this quack to spend all of three minutes (no lie!) with me. Twice. Dr. Drabkin ignored the condition (rash/discoloration) I originally came to have checked out, instead telling me about my acne & balding even though I have a FULL head of hair and my skin was fairly decent that day! He barely looked at my rash/discoloration. In fact, had it not been on my breasts, he probably wouldn't have looked at it at all! He just handed me a prescription for a cream for the rash and a gel for my 'acne'! I will admit, I *do* occasionally break out so I ended up (read: was suckered into) buying his 'facial wash' which was $20 (!!!) and did nothing but break me out even worse than normal. I went from fairly clear skin to dry, peeling, zit city!! The cream and gel he prescribed did nothing to help me either. I went for my follow up in 6 weeks (read: got suckered again!) because everything was worse than before. Again, I waited an hour for about three minutes of actual face time. When I told/showed the Doctor how everything was not improving... this fool told me everything looked better to him!!! He then asked me if I need more of his facial wash and when I said no, he turned to leave the room. I asked him to wait a minute and told him that because I didn't see any improvements, I wanted to switch treatments. He told me nastily to give it time, let him know if I ran out of anything and to schedule another follow up in 6 weeks. Then he left the room without another word. Needless to say I didn't schedule anything. I will never go back to this Doctor and encourage anyone reading this to avoid him at all costs. All in all, I spent a lot of time and $56 ($20 in co-pays, $20 for that b.s. facial wash, $16 for the prescriptions) to be ignored, treated rudely and end up in worse condition. The kicker is he is the only dermatologist in my insurance network. $56 may not be a lot of money but it's $56 I could have put towards scrounging up money to pay a REAL dermatologist because I still have the rash. read more

I too wish I had read Yelp before I saw Dr Drabkin. Waiting room was ridiculous! Waited one hour and 20 minutes. I was prepared to discuss my issue with a bit of history of the prior treatments but he wanted none of it. He gave me a cursory glance from 4 feet away (for an issue with my eyelid) and wrote down a prescription in the chart. Then a mole was discussed, he barely looked at it and said "let's just get rid of it" and I was escorted by the nurse to a different room, laid on a table and local anesthetic applied. He came in, took the scalpel and cut within seconds. There was no care taken, and obviously no concern about what the scar would look like (on my decolletage, where I would want minimal scarring). Bandage, done. I found out later that my insurance was giving him a hard time about covering the mole removal since he didn't follow protocol by getting an approval beforehand. He needs to retire. I give him 0 stars. I am so disappointed with this doctor. I was told I have eczema on my lower leg and back of my arm for the past 5 months. The creams he kept giving me were not working, and I finally went for a second opinion to find out it was RINGWORM! He also gave me a bunch of different things for my "acne", and all it did was made my face worse than it has ever been and dried it out so bad my skin was peeling and was burnt from the dehydration. THIS DOCTOR NEEDS TO RETIRE! And I wish I would have read reviews about him before going to see him. read more

After taking my son to three different dermatologists for his severe acne with zero succss, Dr. Drapkin had his acne cleared up in less than three months. I will be forever grateful to him. I also went to him for a mole removable. beautiful job no scar at all. Down side is the wait time , but with results like this who cares!!!!!!!!!! He is tops in my book . My experience with Dr. Drabkin was horrible! His office is disorganized and I waited well over an hour, despite an appointment. There was no explanation or apology. He didn't spend 5 minutes with me, and had no interest in listening to me or communicating any significant information. He gave me a commercial for his private label shampoo and had his secretary give another. It was 3X the price of the same at Walmart. Then the lady passed a blue light over my head for 30 seconds and asked for money. Worst Dr. appt. I had in the last 15 appts. Worth the drive for someone else who has skills. read more

Horrible. Don't waste your time with this guy. Everything in the previous posts is right on. He crams so many appointments into his 3 day work week Tuesday- Thursday appointments that you routinely wait for an hour. He keeps you coming back often to pad his wallet and will tell you only to buy his own products. He tells you not to buy anything from Walgreens because he knows they are selling the same products at 20% of Dr. Drabkin's price. He had me buying his shampoo for psoriasis for $30 a bottle. I went to Walgreens and found one that works much better for $10. This guy is always in a hurry to rush you in and out and ring the cash register. He is a Quack with a capital Q. His oversized large family pictures and 1970's decor is very creepy. read more

I as well would not have even given a star to this dreadful, creepy, disorganized office and staff. For basic acne i was told to come back once a month for about 6 mos! I naively did not know derm protocol so after a few 37 second appt intervals with ol' doc Drabkin, i spaced them out. As others have pointed out he wants to assess you in under a minute, its like he will get a free pizza if he can do it. He tried about4 or 5 topical creams with me that went nowhere, finally settling various antibiotics. I didnt care for his lack of personal space either even as a doctor theres a limit! He writes every rx with zero refills to ensure you will have a painful time having your pharmacy call for it. The receptionist who just looks like she hates life, snippy on the phone and in person, gave me the wrong face wash after i called and specified which one to hold for me. The piece de resistance if you will, is the giant kinkos copy laminated animal photos tacked up all over the office. Some real talented designer googled those I assume. read more

I wish I could give no stars. TERRIBLE experience. Long wait, spent just a few minutes with my kids. Did not even say hello when he walked in. talked the whole time and didn't listen to a thing I said. The nurses and front desk staff were rude also. Within minutes my son was being shot with freezing agent on his wart with no warning of how painful it would be. He was screaming his head off. Dr. did not even acknowledge his pain. It was like out of the Little Shop of Horrors movie. Then, he left the room and talked loudly about another patient, insurance, billing issues while I waited with my wailing son for an extended period of time for a prescription. will NEVER return! There are too many good docs to waste your time on this one. I mistakenly took recommendations from Moms of Beverly but should have researched more apparently. read more
