A smaller outpost compared to the larger store in Covent Garden, but much easier to access for me. They're collection is a little limited, but if you know what you're looking for, they can get it in for you to try at a later date. read more

The manager, Fiona, is very helpful and friendly, and she, along with Genevieve, always greet me like a friend and help me find the clothes best suited to me. I make a point of shopping there every summer and I highly recommend everyone give them a look. The clothes are extremely well-made of fine material. I think I have more Hackett clothes than any other store in my wardrobe now. Thanks a million. See you next summer!

So if you happen to find something made in the UK, buy it in person! My Mason Pearson brush was almost $100 less here. Same with the DS Durga fragrance sampler I treated myself to. On top of all that, the customer service is lovely. They leave you alone but are also genuinely helpful when you need it! Speaking of the fragrances, when my flight left before my click and collect was ready, they price matched the item I had bought online for Black Friday and let me buy in person since it was in stock. Honestly love this place more than Harrods for their more personal human interactions.

Some asshole who must have crashed one of my parties stole it from me, together with a great pale yellow triple yarn cashmere sleeveless sweater. I felt pissed off & violated. Trying to find another one on the web, I learned that the store I'd bought it from - Hilditch & Key on r de Rivoli near the pl de la Concorde - no longer exists. But every search I did on them or the unicorn square brought up at least one entry for Drakes London. So I visited their online store, & discovered to my disappointment that they had no item resembling what I sought. But... they did have some AMAZING silk & wool scarves for men, including several with colorful Kelim designs, measuring 48 cm x 180 cm. Granted, £253 including express courier shipping to Brooklyn, NY is hardly a giveaway, but I couldn't resist. And it's still more beautiful than the Hilditch & Key scarf was. So I'm one happy camper. For any dude who likes to spoil himself on occasion, or anyone wishing to gift someone with an object that fulfils the expression, "A thing of beauty is a joy forever," hurry to Drakes London's website & feast your eyes on the scarves!
Well, what is to say about Drake's ?…read more The brand founded by tie guru Michael Drake just opened a new (flagship ?) store in Clifford Street. Once famous for their high-quality cashmere and wool ties, the branch recently branched out into other aspects of menswear. Their ties are undisputably of high quality, and Drake's have a nice choice of non-silk ties (i.e. wool, wool-silk blend and cashmere) ties as well as bow ties and handkerchiefs. However, for some reason, Drake's ties seem to lack the understated elegance that you so often see in Italian wool and cashmere ties, and the colours and patterns are often much to bold or strange for my taste. A lot of the Drake's ties are fairly narrow (8 cm) and they sell a broad range of even narrower 7 cm ties. This may be quite en vogue at the moment, but the tie width clearly deviates from what one would consider a classic shape. Drake's have recently started selling a whole range of menswear items including jackets and shirts that are similarly high-quality items, but again not necessarily what you would consider "classic" menswear - which is surprising since a lot of style savants highly recommend their products. The selling prices for Drake's ties are slightly above 100 GBP which seems reasonable for their high quality, but most of their other menswear items are in my opinion (sometimes highly) overpriced. Ties - aye, other producs - nay !
