Free chocolate truffle with coffee or tea on Fridays!
    Karen L.

I came here for lunch on Friday and was happily surprised to find out Friday was free chocolate truffle with tea or coffee day! My sister ordered the burger and I had the chicken with potatoes. The burger was super juicy and delicious and the chicken and potatoes were great as well. Everything was pretty reasonably priced and English menus were available upon request. Diner's Club or Discover was also accepted which I was happy about because there are no international transaction fees. Service was great and friendly and I would definitely return!

I had not been here in ages when I heard from nice friends on Yelp that they are actually closing this year so decided to head back. The burger is by many seen as the best in Stockholm and while I recalled it was not bad I did not recall finding that good. We came on a Tuesday evening and were glad we had booked as the place was packed. The staff were also really accommodating to some wishes for specific tables. Broswing the list of drinks I was impressed by both the good wine and beer list. Nice cava from Pere Ventura for 85 SEK a glass as well as Drappier for less than 100 SEK so nice prices as well. The beers were a nice range of both local and some international ones and also decently prized. We of course all opted for the burger, they checked how we wanted them (medium rare of course) and we were extremely pleased when they arrived just as they were ordered. It is a very good burger but for almost 200 SEK it better be. I do not see it as good enough to be the best in town and I would perhaps not return just for the burger. I am actually more likely to stop by for a glass of wine or a beer and the great service and cozy atmosphere.

The burger, fries, coleslaw, mayo and salad. Nice presentation!

Went here with two friends for lunch on a Thursday to try the renowned 198 SEK lunch burger. We were afraid it would Be packed so we arrived 11:30 but it was surprisingly calm in terms of traffic and noise. Nice French bistro inspired room, charmingly worn down, with spherical lights hanging down from a tall ceiling. The burger with fries, coleslaw and salad was presented very nicely on a rough wooden tray. The patty was cooked perfectly medium rare and the fries - although not generous in numbers - were crispy (double fried?) and delicious. Oh, and don't miss the mayo hiding under the salad - I guess it's for dipping the fries! A little expensive but a very, very nice burger experience!

The burger was not amazing. I'll answer the question everyone has about this restaurant. Unfortunately, I didn't experience what everyone did with the food. The inside is very cozy with a pub-like atmosphere. You probably don't need a reservation, as there is plenty of seating. Service was pretty slow; the drinks came out a little over 5 minutes after ordering and the food 20. [FOOD] Burger: The meat was cooked medium-done for me. I was so hoping it would be medium or medium-rare. The meat wasn't all that juicy; it was rather dry actually. The fries were really heavy, and the slaw was a little less than decent. The peppers were amazing though; so was the sauce, but those are very small parts of the entire dish. [OVERALL] The food wasn't really bad, but a $20 burger is overkill. There are definitely better places to go to in Stockholm. I wouldn't really recommended coming.

This is definitely a great place to go for a lovely dinner in Stockholm, the restaurant is very cosy, the service is friendly and the food is great and not overpriced. As the name suggests you can also go for an olive oil tasting with wine and just so you know the caramelized apple and vanilla sauce dessert tasted absolutely delicious!

Loved, loved, loved the burgers here. They were juicy, perfectly cooked and had unique touches like house-made rolls and bacon. The hand cut fries were crispy and paired nicely with the house-made ketchup. The coleslaw was also lovely and light as was the radicchio salad, which both accompanied the burger. The wine an beer selection were also nice. Definitely the place to go go if you are craving a big, meaty burger in Stockholm.

I went here to discover one universal truth: is their burger better than flippin's as so many have claimed? The simple answer is no, it's not. I wouldn't even say it's close, but I really liked the look and feel of the restaurant and would love to come back for something else. But first, the burger: More high quality meat, grass fed, from Gotland. Oljebaren buys half a cow from their farm supplier a week and prepares the meat themselves. In fact just about everything is as close to hand made as possible here, even the ketchup. But the burger is cooked in a char-grilled style that gives it a taste I really don't prefer. It reminds me of a typical BBQ burger from your buddies backyard, which is a shame because the meat should be very high quality and I think the char taste overpowers all else. At least for me. The inside is very pink, fine for such good quality meat. But to be honest, the more of the burger I ate, the less satisfied by it I was. The good news is that this isn't your typical style for a restaurant burger so there may be some out there that prefer this and for those, this place will be unique. But no, taste wise, flippin is far ahead, for me. The fries were really nice, high quality. As was the mayo sauce, homemade ketchup and cole slaw. But it's also pricey at 195kr and as a burger experience I think you get less than at other places. I also felt really heavy at the end of the meal. They describe themselves as a Mediterranean gastro pub and this matches the way I've felt when leaving other "gastro pubs". But the restaurant itself is small, cozy, comfortable. The staff was friendly and happy to explain a bit about themselves and the menu had plenty of items that looked worth trying. I think it's a really nice place, with high quality ingredients (they focus on what is in season and locally available, adapting their menu to fit that) and really fresh, homemade preparation. I just recommend that you let the burger hype pass you by and try something else. Definitely recommended!

All the dishes seemed nicely garnished as well. I felt like trying the dessert and I wasn't blown away but again the presentation was really nice. I went against my inner voice when I chose so that has something to do with it. Check it out! *I almost forgot, this place is a highlight on the Dyson Airblade World Tour. Friday 7:30pm: I made a reservation an hour earlier, I didn't really need to, but better safe than sorry. Storstad's lively front bar area was blasting some Euro Electronic dance music, and the beautiful but chatty crowd was further adding more decibels to the already loud volume. Fortunately, the rear finer dining area is significantly quieter, and even romantic, despite the bass bumping in the background. From the phone reservation to the end of the meal, the staff was friendly throughout, and spoke English better than your average college-less American. 105SEK($11.67) Soup of the Day: Goulash. Best gawd damn Goulash I've ever had in my life. Best in Europe. I should've gone for the larger bowl for 175SEK. Goulash is typically blue collar filler food for the masses, but the additional Swedish spices elevated this average dish to something fresh, innovative, and effing delicious. 275SEK(30.55) Artic Char...I never find this fish in America, so I get when I can. Initially this seemed expensive. But in America, you only get one 4-6oz fish fillet...in Sweden you get 3 4-6oz fillets...YES!!! Cooked perfectly with a nice crispy outside, yet still so marvelously moist on the inside. The accompanying "champagne" sauce danced in sync with the natural delicious flavors of the fish. (Note: the wife ordered the 145SEK "vegetarian" variety plate, it was okay). 475SEK($52) French red wine...I can't remember the name of the wine, but it was the cheapest red bottle available...it was good, and a better value than ordering 4 glasses of wine. Again, this was our last night in Sweden, celebrate! While this all seems expensive to the American perspective, note that the prices includes taxes, and Swedes only expect a 5-10% tip for full service restaurants. Swedish workers are typically paid a living wage. So this is really not much different than dining out in America. I'm 90% sure we were the only tourists in here, everyone else was speaking Swedish. How do I live here?
