It was busy but not packed when we arrived, and it looked like the staff was setting up for an event. Books are arranged by genre, with newer titles near the front of the store. I found a few novels I've been eyeing, and the prices are fair. I could have easily spent a few hours browsing ... as easily as I could have spent a small fortune on books. It is worth noting that my husband was disappointed at the graphic novel selection (it was only one small end cap), and sadly he left empty-handed. Even still, this is a great spot to pick out a new novel, and a great chance to support an independent bookseller!

But I totally understand why others do. If you are planning on selling stuff, make sure you get there early. If not, when they open there will be a line not of people wanting to sell stuff just people wanting to get in there to check out anything new that came in the night before. They also had a fun station set up to make handmade Valentines - so fun! There was a really nice selection of books, including all of the latest releases, and a variety of different genres. My initial goal was to find a gift for a baby shower, specifically a children's book. I had no idea I would leave with more than just the perfect book. Among the things that make this bookstore stand out is the owner's approach - she strikes the perfect balance between being helpful and respecting the customer's space, never once pressing me to make a purchase. I am already looking forward to visiting again soon.
