i drive across the country a lot. don't ask me why - it just happens…read more and i have learned, after tens of thousands of miles, that the best way to eat healthy when road warrioring is to stop at grocery stores every once in awhile and stock up on fruits and veggies to snack on and grab a rotisserie chicken to make meals out of. i didn't hold high hopes for this chicken - i wanted a plain ole' bird and they only had a garlicked version. but the cashier assured me that it was delicious and they did them on-site in the store. and you know what? it was PERFECT. i mean forget boston market, limon on south van ness and any other rotisserie chicken you can think of. dan's had them all beat! needless to say, every rotisserie chicken in every other state since then has been a huge disappointment.

Despite the massive interior, it was easy to navigate. The space was clean, bright, and full of useful signage. And with one-third of the store dedicated to groceries, it was really convenient to get some water and snacks during the same toiletry run. The parking lot is a bit of a hot mess, definitely could use a refresh similar to the store itself. But in terms of convenience, selection, and price, this Walmart did the job!

We called on a Saturday night and learned they were closed. No problem -- we asked what time to come in the next day and whether we could schedule an appointment. We were told appointments weren't available, but to arrive by 7:00 a.m. We showed up at 6:45 a.m., only to be informed that they had appointments scheduled until 9:00 a.m., and those would take priority. Again, fine -- we asked if we could make an appointment, as he said no, they did not do same day appointments. We asked if we could leave the tire, as we only had one spare. They said yes, so we left the tire and came back around 9:00 a.m. Plan was at 9:00 we would come back to a fixed tire, and they would put it on the truck and than take the other one off and fix it. We arrived back at 9:00. That's when we were told they couldn't repair the tire and that we would need to buy new tires. They did not call and tell us this, just left the tire until we showed back up. Unfortunately, they didn't have anything suitable for our truck, and one of the gentlemen tried to sell us passenger highway tires, which clearly wouldn't work. We declined. After we declined, the gentelmen just walked away and was not interested in helping us any longer. At that point, a young woman with long blonde hair stepped in to assist us. She was absolutely amazing. She took the time to listen, came up with a real solution, and was transparent throughout the process. She even came out multiple times to update us on what was happening with the vehicle. Importantly, she didn't try to upsell us with tires that weren't appropriate -- she truly helped us make it home safely with what we had. She was wonderful, and we really appreciated her help. Unfortunately, the older gentleman we first dealt with was the opposite -- he didn't listen, wasn't helpful, and came across as someone who just wanted to make a sale rather than help us solve a problem.

Their friendly and courteous service does not go unnoticed and is especially meaningful to individuals like myself who live with a disability. Because of my disability, I rely on the store's electric mobility scooters to shop independently. I am sincerely grateful that Cash Wise provides this valuable service, as it enables many individuals with mobility limitations to complete their shopping with greater dignity, comfort, and independence. This accommodation is not merely a convenience--it is an essential resource that allows many members of our community to remain active and self-sufficient. With that said, I would like to respectfully offer one suggestion for future consideration. If and when it becomes financially feasible, it would be wonderful to see the store gradually update its fleet of mobility scooters with newer models. Having used similar scooters at other grocery stores, I have found that newer equipment often provides a smoother ride, greater reliability, improved maneuverability, and enhanced comfort, all of which can make a significant difference for customers who depend on them throughout their shopping experience. I fully recognize that replacing mobility equipment represents a considerable financial investment, and I understand that such decisions must be balanced with many other operational priorities. For that reason, I want to emphasize that this suggestion is offered not as a criticism, but as a hopeful recommendation for the future. On April 7, 2021 I made some grocery purchases and asked the cashier "TRAVIS" for 1 lottery ticket each for POWERBALL and MEGA MILLIONS with no EXTRAS. He handed me the tickets and I folded them up and placed them in my phone wallet without paying much attention as to how many there were. I left and returned later and was informed by an employee that refunds on lottery tickets cannot be done. I figured this was the case but wanted them to know that this employee "TRAVIS" had sold me additional tickets I did not ask for and with extras. If this employee (TRAVIS) cannot give the customer what they ask for then I suggest he needs to be re-trained. I will not visit this store again.

The recent trip to Kennedy's Fresh Foods was an absolute disaster. My receipt mentioned that Brandon was the person (cashier). He treated me with such disrespect, rudeness, back-talk & argumentative behavior. Brandon stated more than once that "it was NOT his job" to assist a customer. When I got out to my vehicle, I immediately called the grocer & requested to speak with the owner or manager of the facility. After many minutes on hold, Kyle came on the line. He listened to my complaint & said that he would bring Brandon to the back & talk with him. My suggestions were to "write him up", "suspend him", or "walk Brandon out the door". I hope that my speaking up & out about this discriminatory treatment is taken seriously by Kyle & Kennedy's Fresh Foods. No matter the outcome, while I am a person of this community, I will NO longer patronage this grocer. In addition, if asked, I will continue to voice my complaint & concerns....
