Absolutely do not use this hospice care under any circumstances. They accidentally filed my aunt as dead, and we lost all her benefits, and I had to figure out how to "undead" her. They were assigned to our family from the Methodist Hospital. I'm a caregiver for my aunt. She had stage four cancer and did not want to live. However, she decided to try chemo after all so we removed hospice services. Olympia's third-party billing service accidentally filed her as dead. They refuse to help me and I had to go figure out what in the process broke. Luckily, the Social Security department was kind to me and told me that it was Olympia's billing company that marked her dead, which is why all benefits were cut. It's incredibly hard to undead someone. Zero accountability. Horrible care. Just a bunch of scam artists. You're better off dying in the street than having this business come to your home. read more

I have recently chosen Olympia hospice care to manage care for my mother and I am very pleased with their service. All staff and management are very attentive and compassionate towards my mom and explain everything detailed and professionally to my family. My father was under the care of olympia hospice. If you care about your loved one, PLEASE do not hire them. Getting them to do their job was maddening. I have so many texts with his nurse about " visits" she made only to have his cameras in his room say otherwise. It was constant and so many things I caught them lying about it's so upsetting. Last couple of days of my dads life when he was no longer responding they had his night nurse playing music and sleeping for hours. When confronted he denied it. We have the footage. I'm going to share the day before he passed and what serene environment they had him in. Please don't trust them. If you care about your loved one, AVOID THIS HOSPICE. My mom passed away on 11/10/24, exactly two weeks ago. Apart from Olympia Hospice calling me in the middle of the night to let me know she had passed on that day, I have not heard from them since. Not one call of condolence. Not one offer of help for my grief. Nothing. On top of that: 1. The shower woman took two full weeks to arrive for the first time. First cancellation was because of a car accident. Second was because she had no car. Third, she came and since my mom was in the dining room, she waited for 5 min and left. Two weeks of no shower or replacement person to come. 2. Chaplain cancelled twice over three weeks because he was sick. By the time they offered to send someone else, she was beyond needing someone to talk to. She never saw a chaplain. 3. When she had a wound, it took 3 weeks for the wound specialist to call. They finally offered to send the nurse but only after I threatened to switch hospices. The wound specialist finally called 3 days after she passed. 4. The office woman was not at all sympathetic or compassionate. Curt. Short. Frustrating to talk to. 5. They never provided a volunteer to come visit. Apparently they have no one they can find in two months. 6. They did the absolute bare minimum. Barely any help with her grief or mine. The ONLY saving grace was Jason, the nurse. He was the only reason I put up with their incompetence. My mom didn't have long to live so switching hospices again would have been too much of an upheaval. Shocking to me that he didn't even call after her passing. There are plenty of hospices to choose from. This one is good about supplies, which they're mandated to be, but that's about it. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. Reply to Ana: Look. You and I know that the shower woman cancelled many times as well as the chaplain, who got sick the last two weeks and tried to send someone else over, who also never made it. Jason knows full well that the wound guy never came. You finally sent him when the wound guy didn't come after a few weeks. I know the wound guy called me after she passed. And I notice you said absolutely nothing about how no one called me after she died. Jason finally called two days after I wrote my review - a full two weeks after she passed. He left a message and said he'd call back, but he didn't. Liz also called several days ago, which was around 3 weeks after she passed. I didn't talk to her. She asked me what she could do now to help me. I found my own ways of dealing w my grief. And I SPECIFICALLY said to Jason when I signed up for Olympia that I wanted volunteers. He wrote it on the front of my application. Liz said they didn't have anyone a week or two after and said she'd be coming. She didn't connect with my mom at all. Yes she showed but she's the social worker. She just asked my mom how she was instead of trying to engage her. My mom dreaded her visits. You can whitewash whatever you want. Point to me is that I was super disappointed with your service. Since there are TONS of places to choose, I think people should know they could look elsewhere and get equal service, at worst. If I didn't have a friend tell me how amazing her hospice was after her mom passed, I wouldn't have known that I should have expected more. They gave her a grief brochure before her mom passed. They called and followed up after. She felt seen. I felt invisible to you, still do. read more

This was the most painful experience of our lives! Anna the owner was very available and nice until you sign on the dotted line. From that day to the last day this company did everything wrong! The wrong mattress, the wrong equipment, etc. Every day a different nurse and came had a different way of handling this sad and painful situation. Our mother was tortured until the end. The last nurse, who was hired by them from and outside companay, again did her own method which prolonged our mothers' misery. If you care about your love one, I would stay clear of this company. I'm so sorry I didn't fire them on the first night. Don't make the same mistake I did by hiring them! read more

My 100 year old mother was under hospice care from this agency. They were uncommunicative about my mother's condition, illnesses, injuries. We had to call them when we noticed problems. At the time of her dying, they were MIA, visiting once for 15 minutes. I do not recommend them to anyone, they are not a support to a family going through the dying process. read more

Our experience with Olympia started out rough as we had to transfer Mom's care from her current hospice agency which was getting bought out. But after that rough patch we were really happy with all the staff (the nurses, the LVNs, the CNAs and the office staff) whenever we had to call them. Olympia Hospice Care: Saga of a Search for a Soft Place to Land I had my sweet Gary with a hospice company whose care was just passable and perfunctory. Then I decided to move Gary from one facility to another so I would be close enough ​to visit him every day. The hospice company, CareOne, had three weeks to prepare for the move and to contact the new facility to arrange coordination of care. That communication between this hospice and the new facility evidently did not happen. I moved Gary on a Wednesday. On Saturday, three days later, I noticed that Gary had not been bathed nor had his clothes been changed. He was greasy and slick. Both hospice and the new facility had failed to communicate with one another to make sure Gary's care was coordinated between the two of them. On Monday, I noticed that Gary had an eye infection. I decided immediately to change care facilities and then, after that, to change hospice companies. At the new place, Mountview in Montrose, I met Romeo, who highly recommended OLYMPIA HOSPICE CARE a company with whom he works on a daily basis. A beautiful angel from Olympia Hospice Care named Heather arrived in less than 45 minutes and I signed up with Olympia Hospice Care. My life improved at that moment. Heather is huggy and warm. So am I. We hug warmly every time we see each other. Heather clearly cares for Gary's wellbeing as do all the LVNs and aides who come from Olympia to care for Gary. Gary is now bathed regularly, his vitals are measured, and he is tended to with respect and reverence for his dignity in this death journey. I have already had two Care Plan meetings with Olympia Hospice Care and personnel at Mountview. The original hospice never offered or suggested a Care Plan meeting. In the Care Plan meeting,​ we go over every detail of Gary's care and his condition. As Gary continues to decline and his needs change, this meeting assures that everything possible is being done to keep him warm, fed, and pain-free. I know that I can always ​hold of Heather, if I need to. I know that whenever I think of Gary, I know his situation is as good as it can possibly be. Olympia Hospice Care has changed my life. The worry and anxiety that gripped me have disappeared. I have my life back. I am lifted and lightened. read more

Olympia Hospice is one of the few hospices that provides support for end of life care. They are very knowledgeable about the process and provide physicians with experience in handling this type of care. Elizabeth was the hospice nurse for my mother, and she was wonderful. Dealing with a terminally ill family member is one of the most heartbreaking experiences one can endure, but with Olympia Hospice Care by your side, you will feel like you have a great support system. Last year, our family lost our father to a long battle with cancer. We had enrolled him with another hospice service initially to assist us with the "end of life/EOL" process who I will nicely say "botched" the paperwork, refused to fill the prescription, and left us with a father in great pain after a debilitating fall. We quickly transferred services to Olympia and were so grateful for the prompt and personal attention of Ana (the owner), Heather (lead nurse/EOL advisor), and Jo Anna (care manager). The team helped us with the "end of life process" since we had to start from the beginning due to the gross negligence of the previous hospice service. Our father received wonderful care in his final days and the follow-up on everything was very thorough. We even had bereavement counseling services offered to us. We felt really cared for during a very painful time. If ever you need hospice services for a loved one, call Olympia - they have the right balance of logistical reliability and compassion. read more
