Well, Pets-cetera is no exception - it's chock a block full of the fluffiest rabbits, the squeakiest guinea pigs and a bunch of cheery little birds. It also stocks a good range of small animal feeds and treats, and even he biggest simpering animal loving idiot like myself can find a unique treat to entertain themselves and torture their pets with - like dog accesories and outfits. Worth a visit - even if, like me, you don't own any pets at all...

Even though this is on the small side, the space is managed well and it has a wide range of stock. Ranging from a good selection of animals themselves as well as all the food, treaties and paraphernalia you could ever require/seek to find. The few occasions in which I have been in the staff have always been friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Since discussing pet shops with other people (and I have a friend or ten who currently own pets...), they have ALL been super positive about this shop too.

This is one of the bigger Pets at Home I've been in…read more Situated close to the Linwood / Paisley ASDA, this store feels like a supermarket for pets and accessories, unfortunately when I think of supermarkets I think of highly competitive prices but unfortunately the prices in here are higher than most. Pets at home are one of these stores that sell pets (fish, rats, gerbils, rabbits, etc) as well as items for pets. I have a love / hate relationships with pet stores that sell animals as I feel that pets are scentient animals and not products for stores to sell, but now that that little rant is over, sometimes you just need to find something for that animal in your life. There is a wide range of everything from pet food, toys, treats, cat trees, minor pet health treatments, cleaners and most things that every pet guardian needs, but like all big chains it feels soul less. So overall, loads of choice, loads for all types of pets, but not the best on price.

The staff are really friendly and ultra helpful with a good knowledge of pet care, products and everything in-between (despite not actually having any pets in store). You'll also find loads of stock packed into a, relatively, small shop. Hence, if you wanted to you could easily spend a good while in here mulling over the high selves with everything from cat and dog baskets to guinea pig exercise toys. Erm, this is where I have to admit that me and the boy drunkenly bought a guinea pig together about nine months ago. Furthermore, it's only been within the past month that I've discovered guinea pig exercise toys exist - for 'fun, health, entertainment and exercise'. Therefore, this is the place where you'll find any pet related supplies you need - or think you need now that you know they exist. The staff are great, the prices and much better than anywhere else I've been and it would seem that they have the tastiest guinea pig food around. Oh, and they have an array of people's personal adverts for litters in the window/door way so you can always have a look over those if you're thinking about acquiring a new pet. The staff are also really helpful and will keep you right so you won't disappoint. If you've recently got a new critter then the people here are great for advice. Although they don't stock a lot of things for the reptile population they helped my old flatmate get the right materials for her baby corn snake, so whatever animal you have, they know what they're talking about. Even if you need something that they don't usually stock, they can sometimes order it in for you.

Its so strange how it closes down and reopens a few months later, only to close again a month later then reopen again. God knows why. I've always thought it would do quite well as it is the only one of it's kind in Motherwell. As well as budgies, different species of fish, hamsters and rats, the shop also sells small lizards, snakes and spiders, which is quite exotic for humble Motherwell. They aren't that expensive either. This wee shop also sells the usual stuff like cages, food, filters for tanks, dog leads and beds. Decent enough, and if you get the man who owns it then he knows his pets. He'll answer any questions you have. Just hurry up before it closes down again!

I have been a few times, and everytime there seems to be some sort of celebration of animal sorts, or free something or other. Its great to see a vet centre that is just a bit different and a bit more interesting than the rest. I like it here, my dog isn't so sure but thats nothing out of the ordinary, in the sigt of any vet he will collapse on the floor and refuse to move. Fortunately Pets'n'vets know exactly what to do to entice him in and make the whole process as comfortable as possible. I can even go here on Sunday!! Which is perfect for me with such a tight schedule. I have never known another vets that is open on a sunday, so thank you pets'n'vets.

Our little lhasa apso dog poppy died while in the care of these kennels…read more.. According to the owners it was sudden and she had been fine for the 8 days prior to this happening.. really?? They did not call out a vet, or report the death to a vet or the council and they proceeded to bury her without contacting us..but they did not contact us for 5 days and by that time having been in the ground fir 5 days our vet said it was almost impossible now to determine a cause of death through a pist mortem... Why didnt they call a vet?? Why did they bury her?? Why did it take them 5 days to contact us?? We shall get to the bottom of this... Devasted doesn't come close

I work in the pet industry and fully trust these Kennels to take care of both my dogs and cat.
