It took me a while to accumulate the other parts for my build so the barrel sat with the other parts as I accumulated them. When I was ready to assemble the parts I found that the barrel that I was charged $400 for was completely shot out. I knew when bringing it back that it had been a few months and that I probably couldn't get my money back but was hoping for some sort of store credit or a discount on a future purchase. Something to help take the sting of a $400 loss a little less. Not only was I told no I was then called the liar and cheat. I was told that I shot a barrel completely out and stripped the threads on the barrel myself. I will never go back and hope that anyone in the mid coast area will bring there purchases to a different seller. One who will let you inspect your purchase before buying. I didn't even do that this time. I went in, was greeted by someone helping another customer. I quickly found the shoe area and she came over when done; helped me find exactly what I needed. I checked them out later on Amzn and they didn't have even the color selection that Cadillac had (the perfect one). Cadillac's were also less expensive. They are amazing shoes. There were 4 tall sections of socks and with that many overwhelming options there was no way someone trying to catch the ship back was going to be able to sift through each item. And at socks averaging $26, I'd have expected personalized service. Nope... When I went back I asked if there was another staff member that actually cared about customers to personally show if there were socks that could help. She gave me a blank look and after a while called for "Nate". Nate then said sorry we just have regular socks and can't really help unless you want shoes. 1 star is too good for this overpriced store.

When I visited the store in early June it was packed to the gills with merchandise. I wasn't in need of anything but I was certainly impressed with their merchandise and the many great brands they carry like Toad & Co., Prana, Smartwool and Darn Tough. The shoe and sock section was particularly impressive. I came to Bar Harbor fully prepared for my planned outdoor adventures but I think next time I might come a bit less prepared so I have a reason to do some shopping at Cadillac Mountain Sports.

The last place I called was Home Supply, on Main Street in Belfast, trying to keep my money local and help local business. I was told to bring my bulb in as they had a few to choose from. So after My errands at the Greenhouse, we went to Home Supply, to see what they had on hand. Upon approaching a guy that works there who was still in his pajamas, he proceeded to inform us he only had 2 bulbs to choose from and that we should just buy a whole new bug zapper as we would never get a replacement bulb, as no one makes them. I told him this was our 4th replacement bulb and that we can always find one as we have for years, he then got snotty and said, " Then go somewhere else and buy from someone else then". I said, "Really? I come in here to shop locally and you treat me like crap because I won't buy a whole new bug zapper from you? I will not be back"!!, He then shouted at me and said, " That's fine by me"!. I have been a patron there for years, but NEVER again!!! I have NO reason to go out of my way to spend my money in a place that treats me like Garbage. I will go to Home depot where they have it in stock for 17.00.
