Update-.... I'm not a resident... I never was....I was a frequent guest and witnessed all of my complaints first hand not to mention harassment from the office staff as well as several criminal events that have taken place in the past and just recently (I have a copy of the emails notifying the residence of said events if anyone would like to see as well as pictures of the complex depicting the actual condition and regular maintenance or lack there of to the property and it's amenities especially the outdoor "community" cooking stations the are in dangerously poor shape. Again never a resident... read the review again... out loud and sound out your vowels it might help with the fact that you completely missed my relationship to your establishment as I wrote in the beginning "stay" not live... I'll get straight to the point: 1) German roaches were (and definitely still have to be) a HUGE HUGE problem. The day we moved in there was an obvious infestation from the tenants before. We did not bring them in. It was disgusting. They were still a problem even after our lease was over. Absolutely disgusting. 2) Their valet trash isn't that great. Multiple nights they would miss your trash and not pick it up. Even if you had the trash can open so they could see there was indeed trash to pick up. 3) Maintenance is not very friendly, they don't seem to know what they're doing, and there were multiple instances where if you didn't have your deadbolt locked, they literally just unlocked your door and would walk in. Not even a knock or a "maintenance" warning. 4) Power outages occurred very often. There was a bad storm once to the point the power was out for hours and which for some reason made the security systems blast extremely loud at 3am with no way of shutting them off without maintenance. And that happened with multiple apartments in the complex. 5) Car wheels were stolen often. I know this is kinda what to expect with apartments, but I feel like this happened much more often than normal. 6) The AC did not work very well. It would have to be going on constantly throughout the summer to keep the place anywhere near a comfortable temperature. 7) Staff isn't that nice. From the main manager to regular employees they didn't want to work with you very much and don't seem to care too much about their jobs or any complications you may go through. 8) Mail room was always a disaster. No neat or secure boxes to place your packages like most places have. Everything was out for everyone to see and possibly steal. Not to mention sometimes your package would be placed in an area you don't normally grab it or hidden under other people's packages because they would just pile it all on top of one another. Don't get me wrong, there were some things that were nice with the place, but in my experience the negatives I listed above HIGHLY outweigh any good. I mean having severe roach infestation to me is enough for that place to be burned down and rebuilt. If anything, you would be better off going to the apartment complex right across the street. read more

So not professional.. I walked in Today (5/12/21) and was greeted by a man on his phone who asked me to wait until someone could assist me. The blonde lady working approached me as I greeted her and was telling her I was interested in an apartment, before I could finish the blonde lady working cut me off and said "I already heard you--". As I was explaining further into what I was interested in the blonde lady inferred to me that she wouldn't be able to show me an apartment because I won't be able to "afford it" which I though was very rude especially since my budget was never discussed and also knowing I don't have a "budget". I proceeded to ask about the units available as another couple walked in The lady who was working with me immediately got up and assisted them leaving me in the lobby waiting while she assisted the couple in her office even though I was there first. I don't know if it's cause the color of my skin, the terrible training it just a terrible person who works there but I have never been treated so terribly and rudely when looking for a place to call home. If you have the choice, I wouldn't move here. Unfortunately my dad and I were backed into a corner and this property was our only option. I wish I could add photos of our unit upon move in (check out my google or FB review). Human urine and feces on toilets, stained carpets, damaged cabinets and flooring, nerf bullet left behind, insect feces in corners, dead cockroaches, dirty floorboards, and food behind the fridge. If our move in was our only issue, I would not be writing this review. While living here my dad and I were also treated unfairly by management after the move in. The manager called (without any kind of investigation) and simply stated that I was not allowed to smoke weed in an extremely accusatory tone. If she would have asked any questions at all, she would have found out that my dad was hospitalized for 2 weeks due to covid and had life-threatening lung scarring. I have never smoked weed in my life, but if I did smoke anything of any kind in the apartment, my dad (who is still on daily oxygen) would be hospitalized immediately. It turned out someone else in our corridor were actually the ones smoking. Additionally, a fine was left on my door for leaving the trash out, but when I called about it, it turned out that it was for a different apartment as well. My dad and I felt extremely targeted the whole time we were there. On top of all of this, they attempted to charge us $1000 in move out charges for "repainting and carpet cleaning". After disputing it, they lowered it to $500. Simply trying to save money at our expense. These charges were after keeping our security deposit of course. At no point while living here did I feel like a respected tenant. I paid rent every month on time and never caused any issues. For whatever reason, they decided to make my living situation here as difficult and uncomfortable as possible. read more

I just signed my third year lease and I love it here. From some of the reviews, I was asking myself if we live in the same complex. The only complaint that I would have are the big dogs that are allowed to live here. I am terrified of Doberman Pinchers, but I was told this particular one is a "Service Dog". Not sure about all of the others..... To Gigi G., you should come back and try again, ask for Vanessa or the manager. There are times that the office is so busy, the blonde was probably having a bad day and the man on the phone was probably one of our maintenance guys. And the Maintenance here is top notch. I have never had to wait for anything to be repaired. When my A/C had to have a part ordered, they provided a portable unit for me to use. As for those that complain about price. Where are you looking? There is not a better deal out there for the amenities that we have here. read more

I am a resident here and I've had my reservations on writing a review, as I did not want to expose my negative experience until after my move out date. However, I do feel the need to express the truth. The negative reviews are true and constant! We as residents have no access to the amenities such as the business center, package room, office lounge room, pool table, and the coffee dispenser after business hours. Being able to obtain packages from the mailroom and using the business center is vital!  The business center is also important for those who work from home or attend school. Also, when the business center is available, it's always freezing. -OSHA recommends temperature control to be set between 68-76 degrees  Fahrenheit (F). I assure you that the business center is significantly below 68 degrees F. To be able to be in the business center, you must come in with a long sleeve, jacket, sweat pants, and a blanket to be "semi-comfortable." I've lived here for 2 years and the extreme temperatures in the business center are an everyday issue; all year round. The office management has received several complaints by residents and myself about the temperature in the business center and to them it's comical. According to them they have "ventilation issues" which I can understand but for 2 years? Not acceptable, that's called negligence. The staff laughs about it and calls it, "The Antarctica Room" or simply say, they can't do anything about it and proceed with ignoring you. Additional issues: -On my move in day, my apartment unit was turned in to me uncleaned. I had to request the office to have the cleaning crew come and clean it. -The walls are so paper-thin, you can hear your neighbor's conversations. -Despite having an on-duty officer, we are still experience car brake-ins. -Parking is extremely limited. After 10:00 pm, good luck finding parking. -I've had multiple AC outages in my apartment. -The dial pad for the gate is usually broken. -No access to WIFI in the business center. -They "care" about taking COVID precautions yet, the gym is not the cleanest. Occasionally a cleaning crew will clean the gym, but there are always dust bunnies on the floor and equipment. -I'm not sure how often they clean the business center, but I advise you to bring in your own cleaning supplies to sanitize your workspace. -The pet groom's room is usually filthy and the same filth is there weeks after weeks. -Some pool grills function and some don't. Which yes, people have to wait to use the grills or share. -Dog Feces is everywhere on the property. -It's incredibly difficult to get in touch with the staff by phone or emails. The WORST part of it all is when you do speak with the staff (over the phone or in-person) they make you feel as if you are bothering them. You can feel the presence of people who do not care about their residents here. Sadly, this is consistent behavior with all the office staff members even management (excluding maintenance) Olympus at Auburn Lakes has its flaws but it has the potential to be more. Starting with educating their staff members and management on the importance of business ethics, such as showing kindness to their residents, can help bypass certain flaws that the complex displays. read more

I moved into Olympus Auburn Lakes early March. This move was not planned and I had to move very abruptly for personal reasons. The office staff was amazing and really pushed to get me moved in 3 days! The apartments and amenities are very well taken care of and clean. The high ceilings in my one bedroom apartment makes it seem way more spacious. I enjoy that when I have family or friends over; it doesn't feel like we're sitting on top of each other. The office staff is super nice, I have not met one person that was not kind. They are very helpful with any questions you have and they call once a month to check to see if you have any questions/concerns. Even during this pandemic, the staff has kept us informed and have taken all the precautions necessary to ensure their residents are safe. I love the location, it's in a safe area with stores and restaurants just minutes away. There are plenty of walking trails, lakes and playgrounds near the apartment as well. First I want to say that the apartments are very nice and spacious. I love their attention to detail and the little lake/dog park is very nice and calming for morning walks. I have had very good experience with the office staff. I have found them to always be helpful and with warm smile and hello. The apartments are kept up very well. The management keeps us abreast of all the fun activities in the area. So let's clarify the misconception and perceptions because this place rocks!! The loss of power during the summer that affected a large radius in the surrounding area not just Olympus nor was it managements fault we lost power. the noise level that someone wrote about was during the summer when some neighbors had parties around the pool. You can barbeque around the pool and people were having a good time. The noise level was a little high but that is not managements fault. Now that it is fall and much cooler very quiet. This apartment is very pet friendly which is great. Someone mentioned poop infested. Well that is the nasty neighbors that don't pick up behind their pets. Again not the fault of management. They have signs around the area reminding pet owners to pick up behind their pets. there are pet disposal sights and free bags all around the complex. So why people don't use it is beyond me. There are property care takers that walk around picking up behind these inconsiderate neighbors. This is not the fault of management to have to police grown people. For the most part it is peaceful as far as apartment living goes. I can hear my neighbors above me and the occasional dog barking but I have a dog and don't mind the noise. Remember it is apartment living there is some give and take it won't always be perfect. Security is very good. I do feel safe and secure. I made a lot of good friends and I am enjoying my time at Olympus!. read more

I have lived here and renewed my lease several times but after living here a new management company took over. At first everything was great but then began to have a lot of problems with noisy neighbors. After filing both in person complaints multiple times both in writing and verbally the problem still persisted. I sent multiple emails that were never responded to by the office staff. After around 10 complaints and not getting responses I went to take to the manager about moving to a different unit. The management team later told me I would need to pay around $300 more a month to move to a different unit. I explained to them that it is not my fault and didn't want to leave my unit but that the noise is so loud it is shaking my walls and is hard to sleep but the manager minimized my complaints as if it was my problem. I offered to pay the difference between what they could rent my unit for and the cost of a different unit but they would not accept that and never got back to me. It is very unfortunate the lack of customer service and caring for their residents concerns, especially since I have been a great tenant with no problems. It seems like they care more about money than they do residents. I will not be renting here again. read more

Been here a little over a month and I enjoy it. Love the two pools, but hate that the amenities (pool mainly) aren't available longer (10AM-5PM), darn COVID hours, but precautions have to be taken--I get it. I enjoy sitting pool side, so bummer. By the time I get home from work it's closed. One thing that I have noticed and I feel that can do better is keep the pools clean. Both pools have lots of debris at the bottom each time I've visited. It's sort of embarrassing. The grills at the front pool (closest to me) doesn't work. Hopefully they get it fixed. The sprinkler system works, but I think a little too much. Lol it gets pretty wet and muddy so I hate taking my dog out to potty before bed. I know it's on a timer, but still annoying. In all, I enjoy the trail around the lake and everyone is pretty friendly. The community is quiet and well kept. That is appreciated. Parking is pretty good (not as bad as I thought it would be). Ms. Denise really made move in seamless and staff is helpful. I don't regret the move at all. read more

I lOVE living here! The apartments feel like a home, are very clean, modern with beautiful finishes. If there are any problems which are rare the maintenance staff is professional, fast and accommodating. The grounds and parking areas are immaculate. The community area feels like a 5-star county club. They have a lake with a running trail and a state of the art gym; no need to have a gym membership somewhere else. The office staff is always willing to go above and beyond to help with anything you need. During non-office hours they make it easy to get help as well. I love the safety of having my packages delivered to the office instead of my front door. I also love the neighborhood surrounding Olympus Auburn Lakes, lots of trees and quiet. I also feel very safe. Best of all are the people living here, always friendly. Thankful I live here! read more

I recently moved into these apartments and have been so impressed thus far. The community is kept very clean and the units themselves are well sized and built with high quality appliances. Upon moving in, my furniture was a few days behind, but even then it was still pretty comfortable! I've found the maintenance staff to be responsive, but haven't had to use them much so far! The front office has been friendly and has also been very prompt in letting me know when packages arrive. Overall, would highly recommend! read more
