We had checked with some contacts through church for people who might help, but luckily decided to hire Strong Backs 4 U as well. We arrived on a Friday evening. The owner had kept in contact with me throughout the day as they were open to moving us in Friday evening if we arrived early enough. But, otherwise they would keep their appointment for Saturday morning as planned. We arrived in town about 5:30pm after driving all day, so I called him and let him know. At about 6, he showed up with a great crew. I had paid for two hours, and they had both trucks unloaded in only 1 1/2 hours. I thought they would just take their money and leave early, but they insisted on staying and moving stuff around for us in the house. So, for the next 30 minutes, they went through the house and set up 5 beds and mattresses, and moved all of my food storage into a store room. We all got to sleep on our own beds that night! They were great, hard working, and friendly. It costs a lot to move, and initially looking at a few hundred dollars more to hire them to come felt like just another expense. But, when it was all done, and the stress of the previous days packing up a house was over, I am so grateful I spent the money. It was well worth it. And, when the church members showed up the next morning at 10am only to find that everything was complete and nothing to life or move I was happy, and they were REALLY happy! So, I do highly recommend. The other reviewer, Mary Ann, doing a cross town move might be a little different from my experience. But for me, where I just pulled two trucks up to my house, and they had them unloaded in less time than they allotted and stuck around to help set up the house, I am 110% pleased with the work and the cost. I had to call the police on them…read more When the police arrived, it became apparent that some of the employees would probably not pass a background check as two of them left on foot. They took my dad's furniture out of the house and put the pieces outside saying that someone else was coming back to pick it up. I got visibly upset and was crying because it was going to rain. These pieces were custom Mission pieces from Montana Furniture. The owner, Scott, was EXTREMELY rude about it and stated we needed to go ahead and pay them now even though I'd been trying to pay them since they started. He kept saying no because, "...at least you know we'll be back..." I am only in town (packing up my dad's home) for a few days and just needed things done as I am my dad's caregiver. Scott sent a Square invoice that was inaccurate and needed adjusting. I rented a UHaul and hired some other people to help me while waiting on the accurate invoice. I called the storage unit to let them know to not allow them access to my units and had the codes changed. When I arrived at the storage they were removing my dad's furniture from the storage unit and putting it on their truck. They'd allegedly lied to someone at the place to gain access saying they were delivering things. I called the police and sat in the UHaul in front of the gate until the police arrived because I did not know where they were about to take my dad's furniture. This was so shady and underhanded and I should have known from the beginning when he bad mouthed other companies I was waiting on getting quotes from. Good people don't do that to other small business owners. While the police were there, they adjusted the invoice and I paid it. Then they put my dad's furniture back in the unit they took it out of under false pretenses. The police officer was lovely and the owners of the storage facilities were great in getting this resolved. Had I not called the police, they would have put my dad's things elsewhere and attempted to charge me storage fees, I'm sure. I wish I could give them a 0 star and I pray no one else gets ensnared by them. There is a lot of visible damage to furniture. This is an absolute shame and could be viewed as a scam. BEWARE! Have heard several stories about the owner, Scott, today which were startling. I should have read the reviews and heeded them.

The actual movers were good guys. Everything else was shit…read more The biggest issue was that I had a glass tabletop crated at origin of the move. It was a huge unnecessary hassle, but I couldn't fight every battle. When it arrived at the destination, there was no order to uncrate it...so it wasn't. Instead, it was leaned against a closet door, effectively blocking access to the closet and making unpacking in that room more difficult. It's been there ever since. I don't blame the moving guys for not uncrating it without orders. I blame the absolute dipshit (Hunter) who placed an order for crating, but not uncrating it and the inability to get anyone on the phone (Kayla) to correct the issue on the day of the move in. Additionally, it took 18 days to receive my belongings, even though the move was less than 500 miles, primarily connected by Interstate. That is a long time not to have a couch or a proper bed or the normalcy that having one's belongings provides. It should have taken 3 days, 4 days tops. This was really bad service, compounded by the fact that I had to commit to the move before receiving a delivery date, so they know that customers would balk at their lackadaisical turnaround time. Overall, I would not use this service again. ETA (8/26/23): Two guys from the local moving company showed up at my door 4 days after the move in. Uninvited. No phone call/text or other contact. Just showed up. Hung around in the stairwell for a while. Then banged on my door. That's creeper behavior. Very unprofessional. I would never trust Mesa for another move.

I had two days to find backup movers since I needed to be out of my rental before the end of the month. I called three times and text twice with no answer and no one cared to call me and say anything. This is horrible business practice and extremely unprofessional. I was told they would call me to schedule the delivery. I did not receive a phone call, when I called HUB the automated gave me a delivery date of 12/22 between 3pm-5pm. I had a doctors appt in the morning so I thought the time was good. On the morning of 12/22 I decide to call HUB just to verify the delivery time and the time had changed to 10am - 12 noon, again with no phone call or text even. Cancelled my appointment waited for the delivery, they did not show up until 12:30 and they did not even have my entire order. They show up with just the box spring because they could not find the mattress in their warehouse, I told the delivery person that I would not accept just the box spring. He asked if I could sign the paperwork and I said I would not. I called this company a total of 10 times @ the following numbers given to me by HUB group: 406-490-5521, 406-409-2101 & 406-565-2555. You would think they would return 1 of my calls. The worst service ever.
