I wasn't originally going to post a review, but it seems like everyone in that office is incompetent and can't follow basic instructions. I was previously seeing Dr. Fernandez at omaha insomnia and he never ONCE took my concerns or my symptoms seriously. I was originally on 2 different medications, both of which were causing me horrible back spasms to the point i couldn't sleep and would sob. He said it doesn't cause that. I ended up doing my research and BOTH medications caused it. I had to go in and tell him I weaned myself off and refuse to take them again. Then, He put me on fluoxetine and when i told him it was making me exhausted even after 14 hours of sleep, i was gaining weight but had no appetite, he INSISTED it must be my thyroid because "it shouldn't cause that". I did research, yet again, and found it DOES cause the side effects i was experiencing. I told him about my problems with sleeping too much or too little, and waking up in a panic every day to the point i almost throw up. He said it was NORMAL. Isn't this also an INSOMNIA office? After many months of not being listened to, around the end of april/beginning of may, I called and told the receptionists that I would not be returning and I do not want another appointment with Fernandez. They have since called me over FIVE TIMES trying to get me back in to see him or another provider. Most of the calls i ignored. On the fourth call, i answered and was quite rude. I told them I had already told them i would not be returning, i don't want to see a different provider, and not to call me again. YESTERDAY, they called me then immediately hung up, but proceeded to send me a fucking email to set up an appointment. I replied to the email and AGAIN re-established i will NEVER be returning to that facility, let alone see a "provider" there. At what point does this stop being an attempt to provide services and become harassment? Especially when i've told multiple people at this point to STOP CONTACTING ME. TL;DR--NEVER GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY AND NOT BOMBARDED WITH CALLS WHEN YOU LEAVE TO TRY TO GET YOU BACK IN. read more

I could go into detail about why I gave this place a 1 star review but honestly they have wasted enough of my time and I refuse to give them anymore. What I will tell you: Be VERY CAREFUL if you decide to go here. Keep track of every bill you receive, every EOB you receive from your insurance company and keep every receipt they send you. TRACK THE BALANCE YOURSELF. DO NOT TRUST THEM. During my child's mental health journey we have worked with different doctors/mental health facilities and never had any issues like we did this with this place. This place is by far the WORST. I wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE. It kills me that I even have to give them a SINGLE star to leave this review but hopefully someone will see my review and I can save them from experiencing what we did while working with this place. read more

If I could give 0/5, I would!!! I was diagnosed at their facility in March 2022 and treated until I moved out of state in November 2022. During one of my visits with Dr. Gard, I was explaining how I had a panic attack that weak (due to PTSD flashbacks) I was told, essentially, to "get over it" and stop letting it control me so much. Not the best way to approach someone trying to find ways to heal from trauma. Additionally, I requested my records before moving and was told I would receive them on my last visit. Amy provided her portion, but Dr. Gard is, from what I was told as of February 2026, still processing my final report. Excuse me??? Why is it more than 3 years after my discharge from their office that my final report has yet to be completed? I have had to fight since leaving their care to get my records. I would call and be told "we will have someone reach out". Guess what? NO ONE ever did. The amount of push back I got with each phone call was absurd. I sent a formal 30 day request for my records indicating February 2026. I was done playing their games. Finally, I received some of them but not before I threatened to report them to OCR for withholding my records. They stated don't have access to all of my records and need Dr. Gard to finish them up to be able to send them. But he isn't in any hurry to complete that, I assure you. So I am still without my full report. Also, I'm struggling to get life insurance due to their unresponsiveness with the insurance company. I have attempted to get life insurance multiple times, but they never respond. So they aren't just ignoring me, they are ignoring requests from others attempting to request my records. I have had nothing but problems with this office. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy! The disorganization and lack of communication is ridiculous and I believe they should be put out of business. They have been a nightmare to work with and have caused so many issues for myself and any company that needs proof of my time there. read more

Their facility is poorly maintained-it's dirty and the front door is creeky and barely even works. The psychiatrist gave little guidance or explanation around their decision to prescribe on the first intake. I felt more like a cog in the machine than an actual person here, and although psychiatrists aren't therapists, a little bit of friendliness would have gone a long way. Few of my concerns or questions about medication were truly addressed. DO NOT RECCOMEND. read more

*cracks knuckles* This place is the WORST in every way. Took my 9 year old son there for an ADHD diagnosis in Fall 2024. We filled out a short questionnaire and met with the doctor for 15 minutes at the most. In one breath her first words to us were "yes your son has ADHD, what kind of drugs do you want?" I was taken aback and said I didn't know but we needed to speak to his pediatrician first. She gave us a post-it note list of drugs and we left. We told our pediatrician to never send people there and we next we to Omaha Pediatric Therapy. They spent 1 hour with him and determined that he did NOT have ADHD. He had a retained reflex, the Moro Reflex. His treatment was an exercise to be performed daily. No drugs. They simply spent time with him and used actual medical training to fix a REAL problem. We got a, get this, $400 bill from Omaha Insomnia. For what? For walking through their rickety door and sit in their office with no air conditioning in the 90 degree heat to be MISDIAGNOSED, and offered any drug of our choosing? And it gets worse from there. I spent 5 months doing battle with them on the phone about this ridiculous bill. And every time I called they'd say "I'm going to talk to somebody and call you back" and they never did. I talked to 5 different people, and they kept calling me only to collect the money and no other reason. Every time they called I had to explain who I was and they had no idea who I was. They even called once to ask to speak to my son because he needed to pay his bill. They didn't even know he was a NINE YEAR OLD BOY. That is how little care, attention, and quality they offer. They are quacks and thieves and nothing more. Their bounty hunter even once told me she'd take care of the bill and I didn't hear anything for a month so I thought she actually did. Nope she actually called me again a month later not knowing who I was and asking for the money.These people are the worst most impersonal most inconsiderate people I've ever dealt with. read more

I wish there were ZERO stars. Save YOUR sanity and mental health and DONT GO HERE!! WORST FACILITY ever! I'm a veteran and I deal with PTSD and bad anxiety and my first interaction with front desk was so uncomfortable, rushed, and unprofessional. They are EXTREMELY RACIST and only care about money! Providers talk bad about their own co-workers in front of patients. I was at such a low point that I waited to see what provider I was paired with. And, I found my psychiatrist CHERI JENKINSfrom day one she took her time with me (she got reprimanded for it by Omaha insomnia cause they want the providers to only spend 15mins per patient). On my first appointment she gave a clear diagnosis and for the first time I was prescribed medications that finally worked for me! Cheri saved my life!! I HATED going to Omaha Insomnia with passion but I loved my Psychiatrist so much that I was willing to deal with this facility just to see her. Because of how HORRIBLE OMAHA insomnia is she is NO longer at this facility, Amy, who is another amazing provider is no longer there (BIG LOSS)... but to my luck she now has her own practice: PARAMOUNT INTEGRATIVE PSYCH SERVICES I absolutely recommend Dr. Cheri Jenkins with my heart and soul, she's sweet, caring, respectful, professional and super attentive! Her new facility looks stunning, feels like home and it has such a serene and calming feel to it. Not like the CHAOS and UNPROFESSIONALISM at the waiting room of Omaha insomnia. Every time I went there you could hear everyone complaining about how packed it gets, the loud music, people arguing with front desk cause they messed up with their meds and the energy in that places was horrible it gave me so much anxiety. They switched my doctor with out my concent by giving me an appointment with "Britany" when the clearly knew I was seeing Cheri. They constantly asked if I wanted to switch providers even tho I kept saying NO. I can't remember her name but a lady in front desk made fun of my accent, After calling more than FIVE times and being hung up on they took ONE week to start a med authorization and were rude about it, I felt bad and scared every time I had to call there. Please give your self a chance to have a Doctor you can trust and who truly cares about you like Dr. Cheri Jenkins. Don't waste your time with Omaha insomnia!!!! Hope this facility close down for good these people don't need to be taking care of patients!!! read more

dr. selveraj cannot be pleased by paitients or her providers. I went to the clinic for 3 years and saw selveraj one time and it was my intake appointment. selveraj was never in the office to see me and has been on atleast 3 vacations this year(2024.) My NP saved my life multiple times with a simple checkin call or being able to help me when I had panic attacks; A true hero in my book. selveraj is greedy and if not on vacation she is across the country speaking at a conference, hence forth abandoning/ neglecting her patients. no longer will she be respected as a dr to me or person. read more

Full disclosure: it remains possible (although not especially likely) that what I experienced at this clinic was the result of a series of honest mistakes. Because I have since cut all ties, it is not likely that I will ever find out. And because of the recurring nature of the problem that I kept encountering with the staff at Omaha Insomnia and Psychiatric Services, I'm comfortable with saying that some combination of indifference, incompetence, and disorganization was the culprit here. I began visiting OIPS as a matter of convenience; it was located just down the road from my apartment, and I needed to have my preexisting prescriptions filled and filled quickly. After the first few months, however, I noticed that actually getting those prescriptions filled -- which was quite literally the only service that OIPS was providing for me -- was proving astonishingly difficult. For one thing, although I took the same medications at the same dosages every month, OIPS never arranged for the prescriptions to automatically refill. This meant having to call them whenever my prescriptions ran out -- which is fine. A needless pain in the rear, but not a big deal. But the thing of it is: even when I did call in, they were slow to respond. It would take several days for them to get back to me (never mind actually filling the prescription), if they even got back to me at all. When they finally did respond, they would often send my medications to the wrong pharmacy -- in spite of my repeating the address several times. More recently (over the past month), I was charged $150 for a ten-minute consult with a psychiatrist. The sole purpose of this meeting was to establish that none of my medications were to be changed; I hadn't requested the meeting, but I was required to schedule it or I wouldn't receive my medications. Immediately after that visit, I set about requesting a refill for a medication that I pretty much needed to function. Discontinuing this medication is profoundly uncomfortable -- anxiety and insomnia and brain fog, oh my -- and a cold turkey discontinuation is certainly not advisable. But I'd already had to undergo just such a discontinuation several times since visiting this clinic. Previously, I'd managed to finally straighten things out after three or four days. But on this occasion, they just flat-out *never prescribed it for me.* I called them with a few days left on my prescription. As per usual, the call went to voicemail. I left a message requesting a refill. No reply, no refill. I contacted the pharmacy; they reached out to the clinic, but did not get a response. I waited it out. Three days passed. I called again. Same thing. I let CVS know. They tried to contact the clinic. No response. I waited another few days. I called them again. No response. CVS couldn't get a hold of them, either. At this point, I was pretty raw -- I was also in rough shape from having gone a full ten days without my medication. I decided that I'd had enough. I called, left a voicemail, and let them know that I was pretty much done, and that I would no longer be needing their services. This prompted them to actually *call me back.* But at that point, I was in no real mood to talk. The whole show put me at a loss for words. All things considered, I am a low-maintenance patient. But imagine if I were one of their more acute cases. Imagine if I suffered from schizophrenia, or epilepsy, or a serious neurological disorder. Would they have just told me to wait a week for my lifesaving medication? Would they have compelled me to schedule an appointment before they sent me an antipsychotic? Would they have blown off my request to have my medication sent to the pharmacy near my house, and not the one sixteen miles across town? I'm really not sure. I was about to suggest that you should only consider this place if your mental burden is light; but mine is pretty skimpy these days, and at this point, I wouldn't trust them to help me with it. So: steer clear, my friends. Your health matters more than their profit margin. read more
