That being said, I have had a lot of botox and various skin treatments performed by other (differently qualified) professionals over the years.

Instead, it was very much like going to a doctor's office. You lie on the table (no blankets or robes), the professional washes your face, puts the peel on, takes it off, and 20 minutes later you are done. The upside of a med spa is typically that you don't have to tip (per the other med spa I go to in town for my laser hair removal), but as I was leaving, the receptionist asked about leaving a tip. I ended up leaving one, but certainly didn't tip 20% on a $95 procedure that lasted 20 minutes. So far, the results have been fine, but if I'm doing a facial procedure at a spa, med spa or not, I want a little pampering and relaxation, so I won't be back.

I have tried a number of services here throughout the years such as facials, laser hair removal and…read moremost recently a series of chemical peels to address some old acne scars. A medical spa is much pricier than a traditional spa but the facility is overseen by doctors, PAs and nurses which is comforting if you are experimenting with some more invasive procedures. One thing I especially appreciate about this facility is their effort to stay compliant with the ever changing world of FDA approvals, medical safety, etc. for example, the FDA recently pulled their approval of the SkinPen (AKA micro needling) and as a result te Bella stopped offering the service. I guarantee you many other places around town are still providing it. And on the topic of the SkinPen, they only allow the PAs and nurses to perform the procedure. They also have some reasonably priced products which I found to be in a similar price point to that of Clinique. Not all are that reasonable but a good number are. As far as med spas go, this one is the top of my list here in Omaha.

I choose Sakoon Spa in hopes of having the same experience as in my country. Will I recommend: YES my experience is not the same as others. Facial is really to come back they need to add light therapy more. Both facial and Massage provided great hospitality from beginning to end of the service. Upon entering filling up information digitally is good then they offer you tea during your entire sessions. [ extremely dissatisfied * dissatisfied * ok * satisfied * extremely satisfied ] FACIAL: extremely satisfied. they need to need to add more light therapy though. MASSAGE: Ok. I choose mild but It was not therapeutic (the oil is) i feel like I'm putting lotion to myself. My husband choose firm he said she did not really put much pressure. The massage is good for those who have not been into massage parlor. Note: as per yelp photo of last year they offer couples room massage but not anymore which is understandable. *Blemish & Acne solution, Tibetan Herbal infusion (his) *Brighten & Revive Facial, Tibetan Herbal Infusion (hers)

As many others who have written reviews, I too felt I was taken advantage of at this practice. After being told I paid in full I received a near $700.00 bill. Flabbergasted, I called and talked to Wendy who then took no accountability and blamed my insurance for the "miscommunication". After waiting weeks to hear back from Wendy about reducing my bill, I finally reached out again to hear the same answer back about it being my insurance's fault. Hours of phone calls and emails and I can tell you, it was indeed not my insurance's fault - the practice completely misquoted me. Sadly, I would not recommend. Paying an out of pocket cost I was not informed of tells me that this practice focuses on the dollars in their pocket rather than the care their patients receive. The lack of transparency about payments is unethical and they need to change how they quote immediately. As someone who herself has compiled quotes in a medical office, there is no excuse for this. This is the simplest form of bait and switch ploy. To back this 1 star review up even more - my whole experience was anything but smooth. I had three moles removed the same day. It felt rushed and pressured. I didn't even know I was getting them removed that day until billing came in. One mole was on my foot. They did not stitch and wrap it properly and I ended up bleeding through my shoe in Walgreens picking up my prescription. This then led me to passing out in Walgreens. Yes. So fun. I called the Dr. to say I didn't think the bleeding was normal. They had me come back and offered to add more stitches to the toe RAW! No numbing! I declined saying that sounds painful and preferred it to be wrapped instead. The healing process was anything but pleasant but the stitch removal was one of the most painful experiences of my life. The type of pain you grimace just thinking about for days and weeks later. Honestly, the pain from the suture removal comes second under kidney stones for me. I didn't expect this experience to be pleasant but I certainly didn't expect it to be this traumatic. So no, I do not recommend.
