I've been coming here for many years for skin checks and the occasional lopping off of something suspicious. Joyce is my go to PA, and several of my friends see her too. Today is an example of how exceptional they are. I was inadvertently 1/2 hour late for my appointment. They send you plenty of reminders, but I read my calendar wrong and showed up late. I've been coming to Joyce Sumner for years and I can't imagine going anywhere else. The practice has always been great, friendly and fast check ins, easy scheduling and rescheduling, and if there's any problems they've been helpful in resolving them. Aside from the helpful admin experiences, I've always had great dermatology care. Joyce is wonderful!! She somehow remembers details of my life even though I'm only one patient out of so many she sees just once a year. I recommend her to anyone looking for dermatology, however Greg Morrison is also a great option for a provider here. I mostly do yearly skin checks but have also had procedures done (mole removals) and allergy testing. The allergy testing was thorough and Joyce set me up with the CAMP app which helps me determine products that are safe for me to use for my allergens. The copay for my insurance is $40 which seems appropriate but each insurance will vary as to price and coverage. read more

I started seeing Dr. Helget about two years ago. I had been at another office for several years and didn't ever feel like I was more than a part of their job. When I booked my original appointment the female on the other end of the phone seemed genuinely happy to have me book with the group. My first visit Dr. Helget took the time to talk with me, get my history, provided the most thorough skin check (too many years using baby oil only) and answered all my questions. Unfortunately for me I've been back to visit multiple times. Everytime Dr. Helget asks me a follow up to a previous discussion we've had. He has taken the time to get to know me personally. Nice people but make sure they run your insurance before any treatment (which should happen prior but wasn't). We had very basic treatments done and received a very BIG bill. Absolutely unacceptable and they weren't willing to speak about it. They werent even willing to resubmit to insurance!! Will NEVER go back and won't recommend it. read more

I was referred here by my primary care physician for a suspicious mole. When the appt. staff called to set up an appointment I told them that I had another appointment already scheduled before the one at BraddockFinnegan. They said it would be fine and to come over. After my earlier appointment I drove directly to BraddockFinnegan. It took 20 min. I was late to the scheduled appt. by about 10 minutes. I was told that it was too late for me to be seen. I told the desk person about my earlier conversation with someone at their office and she asked the doctor if I could still be seen. When she got off the phone with the doctor she just simply said "The doctor was going home for the day,". No apology, no concern of any kind. I will definitely NOT be rescheduling at that office. i've seen Dr. Orteb a few times for acne. Yes, even in my forties, I have the chin of a teenager. Getting an appointment for your first visit can be challenging, especially if you want an afternoon appointment. The lady I spoke with on the phone when I was trying to schedule my first appointment told me that all the doctors only take patients from 8 to 2:30. I told her would have to get back to her. When I called back, I got someone different on the phone and was able to get in at my desired time of 3:30. Hmmm. I found Dr. Ortleb polite, accommodating, and knowledgeable. She did help get my acne under control. She runs pretty on time, however the last time I saw her I waited a 1/2 hour. I do agree with the previous reviews- the clinic is quite expensive- even with insurance. I went in to get a cortisone shot in a ginormous acne cyst. The shot got rid of it within a day, which was great. But a month later, I got my bill and the total cost was over $100. I've gotten cortisone shots before when I lived in California and they cost me $30.00. I don't know if this service varies from clinic to clinic or state to state? read more

I made an appointment. My husband was sitting here beside me. I gave insurance information, name, DOB, address, email, phone number, the whole thing. The clerk said she had a 2:10 appointment, I said, "I'll take it. I wrote the time, phone, and address down, then shared some special needs I have. The receptionist asked if I wanted to tell the nurse and ask if they could accommodate me. I said sure, they never called back and deleted my appointment. Went here to have mole, which was a nuisance, removed for sole reason of it being a nuisance. I keep going to new derms because I have yet to find one who can take a mole off without a huge scar, maybe someday. Over all, it went well. She checked me for moles, told me what to look for in malignant moles, took off the one that was bothering, and left. All in all it took about 10 minutes, and I was out the door. On my way! I didn't ask for prices, which was mistake, because this place was expensive. After insurance it cost me over $400 just to have one mole removed, part of this was an overly high 'new patient' fee, but I've had 4 moles removed before for less. Even though I am glad to have this mole removed, and have already paid the exorbitant 'new patient' fee; it is likely that I will be shopping around or simply getting drunk and having my friend chop off moles in the future. How hard can it be? Right... ? Wait, can vets remove moles? read more

I recently moved to Omaha from NYC and was delighted with my experience. I had an appointment within 24 hours of my call. Amy Price did a great full body check and biopsied a few suspicious areas. I was especially interested in light therapy for psoriasis and expressed my concern over injections and pills as a treatment option. I have seen Greg, the PA, since 2002 and he has always resolved ANY issues I've had, taken as much time as needed for me and he truly cares about me as a person not just a patient. I also take my teenage daughter to him. So in 2002 when I saw Greg it was initially because the MDs in the office were too busy to see me, however, being able to see Greg was the best thing for me. Joyce goes above and beyond trying to get results but there are limitations with medicine. I understand that, truly I do, but repeating tests and getting different results each time is frustrating. Dr Finnegan seemed to care and be involved for one visit and then was completely detached and not involved the next. Communication is key when treating a patient and the biggest part of communication is listening. Before having a mole removed two times, I was told it was nothing to worry about and both times came back as being something to be concerned about. I am glad I asked to have both removed. read more

I've seen Dr Finnegan since she started, and saw Dr Braddock before that. I can't speak for the other doctors, but these two are both wonderful women. Dr Finnegan was able to diagnose and successfully treat a skin problem I'd been having for years than several other doctors were unable to diagnose. She knew immediately. Since then I've been back for full-body cancer checks annually, had several different things removed, and I've always left satisfied with my care. Heard from my medical colleagues that this was a great place for dermatology. They may be, but don't go. I had a 9:10 appointment with PA Morrison. Arrived at 8:50 to do the new patient paperwork, which was completed at 9:00. Sat in the waiting room until 9:45. Went back to the front desk to inquire why I was still here when the entire waiting room had turned over twice. She assured me I was next. I did get the next call and got into the room. Nurse took blood pressure and med history, and then I sat for another 10 minutes. PA finally comes in, looks at my complaint areas, freezes them, his assistant hands me the after-care instructions and leaves - total time in the room was less than 5 minutes. Greg Morrison, PA -- Seen for skin infestation problem. On second visit he was not satisfied with progress nor with psych. evaluation. He had someone shadowing him that day -- never introduced her nor asked permission. He became very agitated to the point of raising his voice when I informed him that I had an Iowa City appointment in March (3 months away). He interrupted it as a 2nd opinion evaluation which it was not. It was a back-up incase my skin problem did not clear up. He said he would renew my prescription -- pharmacy has tried twice to get renewal and I have left a phone message. Needless to say, there has been no response to requests and it is now been 1 week!. He also stated he would find me another psychiatrist for that would AGREE with his evaluation??? Who made his evaluation GOD. read more

If you MUST go here as an absolute last resort, do NOT see Melanie Ortleb. She was by far the most rude and heartless dermatologist (or any "professional" person) I have ever seen. She basically told me that I will be screwed for the rest of my life and showed ZERO compassion, empathy, sympathy, whatever you'd like to call it. In fact, it seemed as though she got a kick out of making me feel like complete shit about myself. I was told to go here from someone I love dearly because Dr. Suzanne cares about patients, but Dr. Ortleb does not at all. As far as you, as a patient is concerned, you are just more $$$ on the paycheck. Do NOT go here, especially those already lacking self confidence. You will get miserably torn down. read more
