Dr. Omar Aref seems to be a good doctor. Unfortunately, the reception staff significantly detracts from the overall experience. I was informed that because I am not considered an "established patient," I am unable to schedule Friday appointments, which I'm off Fri/ Sat. I was also told that since I haven't been going there over two years, I cannot be accommodated for a same-day sick visit. While I understand office policies, the way this was communicated felt unhelpful and discouraging. The front desk experience makes it difficult to continue care here. I had to go to an urgent care instead, so I also made an appointment for a primary at the new place since even tho it was my first time there, I do not have to be established to be seen right away. read more

I have seen many physicians over my 60 years of life and feel i no longer have to search for another. Dr. Aref is very thorough and has a sincere empathy for his patients. The staff there are always spot on and kind. I have no complaints for the service and care i have received there and will continue to go there whenever the need arises! Could not get any better. read more

The doctor himself is amazing... the office staff is definitely not. It's impossible to get an appointment because they quite literally never answer. When you finally get ahold of someone they are very rude and act as if they are going out of their way to make your appointment even though it is their job. read more

Reception staff is not only terrible at their job, but rude and classless. I made a sick appointment this morning for the following day. No one verified any billing or information when I made the call at 9:30 this morning. They then call me at 4:30 in the afternoon (30 mins before closing) asking for updated insurance information. I am incredibly sick, home alone, and 6 months pregnant. It's pouring down rain and my wallet is in the car where my insurance card is. I asked if I could just bring my updated insurance information in the morning as I will be there for their 10:30 AM the next day. The incredibly unprofessional staff member says that "the have to verify the day before the appointment or else I can't be seen." Mind you they had over 7 hours to verify my information, but somehow it's my fault that they didn't do their job in an appropriate time frame. So my options are to go out in the pouring rain while incredibly sick and pregnant or loose my appointment even though I've been a patient there for a decade. Never missed a bill. Have always done things by the book. When I called them out for their ridiculousness she would say "k please hold" and purposely put me on hold and leave me just sitting there. The final time I called back they didn't even bother to answer. I just want it on file and on record that this doctors office only cares about money and not about treating the sick, and is refusing service to those who call them out on their ridiculousness. read more
