When I started my resume professional search to help me on my job hunt, I came across YELP and read the review below for OMG Resume. I laughed as it seemed too good to be true. I gave OMG Resumes a call and scheduled a meeting. The price was reasonable and was the best $$ I've ever spent. The review below as well as mine is 100% spot on. These resumes will lead to multiple job interviews at the least and potentially multiple job offers as in my case. I had a resume which when submitted resulted in no return phone calls but I also needed help with the cover letter. Devon met with me, I took her the job postings of the jobs I was interested in. In about 2 days I had my first drafts which were pretty much final versions. I applied on Monday Feb 4th, a week later I had a call to schedule an interview on Friday Feb 15th and had the job offer Friday Feb 22. I sure wish I got the same attention that other reviewers got. I was told that if I paid 300.00 to freshen up my resume, they would follow you through until you obtained employment. First of all, I had to correct spelling errors as well as punctuation in the "draft." Second, my resume was completed back in April and I have not had one followup call or email to see how my employment search has gone. Seriously, I applied for about 20 jobs with out one interview request before getting OMG! Resumes to redo my resume and cover letter. My resume wasn't terrible before, I had a career counselor from my University review it once already, it just didn't stand out enough to get noticed and demand an interview. Everything they returned looked awesome; I immediately applied for a few of jobs with the new documents. Of those, all three called me back within about 10 days. After interviewing, I was offered 2 of the 3. Their prices are very reasonable - lower, if not comparable, to most other resume writers I looked at. I had been working for the same company for 13 years and found myself in need of exploring other career options due to relocation. I spoke to Devon regarding a resume. I was very disappointed in her service. I ended up assisting her in revising my resume. The reviews I read I guess her friends submitted them. I paid $200 for her service and it was not worth it. Also she gave me a speel about how she specialized in hospitality placement and she could assist me in finding a position. After she helped me with my resume, she informed me that she does not assist in finding positions. I was shocked at her statement. I don't understand why she said one thing to me and now another. I guess she just wanted to make her $200.00. My suggestion to others is to find another resume service. read more

I think the cover letter is the only reason why I will give them one star. The resume is very unprofessional for anybody who is in management or executive level. This company can help you if you want an entry-level resume. I would not recommend them for anything else. The format is poor, the wording is hard to understand and once you bring it to their attention they still wont change it. I will count my money, $285 as a lost. I have not received any hits off this resume in one year. This should tell you something people. Go somewhere else!! The lady who writes the resume should have taken additional classes to learn ways on how to format. Do not use them! You will be wasting your time and money. I took the resume to a couple of staffing agencies and they laughed and told me I should not have given her nothing, but $25 because that is how poorly it is formatted. read more
