Hello there! About 12 years ago we purchased a newly renovated home in the Dundas Valley. One of the attractions was a beautiful waterfall on our property. We naturally asked the builder about water problems and were assured that water never was a problem and that the basement was dry year round. What a surprise! Our experience with Omni started out well, but quickly turned into a hassle. I had no issues with the salesperson Reid (initially), he explained clearly what needed to be done to fix a crack in our basement and I was happy to proceed with the quoted price. He said that we would need to contact Reliance to move our water heater for the repair, no problem. The issues started on the day of the scheduled repair, I got a call that morning from Jocelyn that the technician called in sick. Fine - people get sick, so I asked when it would be rescheduled as we had Reliance scheduled to come in an hour to move our water heater so I wanted to be able to give them a date. She couldn't tell me as she said she needed to find out if he would be back the following day. After that, I quickly called Reliance to reschedule them, and luckily they had availability for the next day so I shifted the appointment, hoping for confirmation from Omni. When I hadn't heard back near the end of the day, I called Jocelyn again and left a voicemail. She called me back eventually, to tell me that she still couldn't give me a new date. I asked her to call me back first thing in the morning so I could reschedule Reliance if necessary. She said she would do so. The next morning came, and no call from Jocelyn. I tried calling and left a voicemail, sent her an email and eventually I got a hold of her on the phone when I tried again. She said she still couldn't tell me the new date, but it "definitely won't be today". She said she would go talk to the boss and get back to me in 30 minutes. I called Reliance in the meantime and fully cancelled our appointment with them for that day. The 30 minutes passed and nothing from Jocelyn. Tried calling after a few hours and emailed her again. At this point I was getting annoyed and said I would request my deposit back if I didn't hear back from her by the end of the day. That didn't help - still no call by the end of the day. The following morning, I again called Jocelyn as she still hadn't contacted me, and she said she went home sick the day before. Ok...I guess there's something going around, but why not call me before she left, or at least first thing the next morning? I asked her if she had a new date, and she said "it will be next Tuesday"...ok fine, again why couldn't she call me to tell me that, but great at least we have a date. The day before our appointment, I had Reliance remove our water heater as planned (with an additional charge after rescheduling twice). On the Tuesday, I was under the impression that we had a window of 12:30pm to 1:30pm for the crew to show up (which is what Jocelyn told me originally). I left a voicemail for Jocelyn shortly after 1:30pm but no reply. At 2:30pm, still no crew. After leaving another voicemail and an email for Jocelyn asking for my money back, she finally called back to tell me the rescheduled appointment time was between 2-3pm. She never told me this previously (and as far as I'm concerned it's BS), but ok - I'll let them in. They finally arrived at 3:30pm and fixed the crack in our basement within an hour and a half or so. At the end of the service the actual work in the basement looked fine from what I can tell, but from this experience I have to say that Omni's customer service, professionalism and organizational skills are seriously lacking. I wish someone had warned me about these guys before I hired them. Here's the highlights: -pierced the gas line when digging -didn't get digging permits -put staples into finished hardwood for dust control (...wtf were they thinking?) -stained my wooden floor with their equipment -the supervisor seemed to hate his job, took it out on me and my wife I cannot recommend enough for you to go elsewhere read more

Seemed like a good honest company in the beginning but not so honest and they don't come good for the warranty. First they just sent us tape and was like here fix it yourself, we complaining again and they did not answer, tried writing a bad review and their web site and they did not post it. After over 2 years we are hoping we have all the holes taped up now so the mice stay out. After the did the work we had more mice under our house then before there so called sealed enclose. I spoke to Pete and Omni about adding support in a crawl space. Pete did multiple visits and brought an engineer to confirm they could do the job. They developed a plan and it was approved by the lead engineer at the cost of 650+HST for the engineer alone. After paying the deposit and agreeing to the amount to be paid after completion, the workers came a week later. After cutting out a 10'x3' hole in the side of my house, I was told they could no longer do the job. So I now have a massive hole in the side of my house with absolutely no work done. On top of that, the siding was cut so poorly that I now have to replace most of the siding on that side of the house. I called Pete who was short and said he was just going to send his guys to another job. I was not told how to get my deposit back or even who to contact. Pete was only concerned that I now messed his schedule up and was upset at that. Furthermore, he told me they're not "siding guys" and to get someone else to fix the problem. I had to make multiple calls and send multiple emails just to figure out how to get some of my deposit back as Pete stopped answering. My "refund" amounted to approximately 1/3 of my deposit. This was by far the WORST experience I've ever had with anyone. I couldn't imagine a less professional company and would NOT recommended this company to anyone read more

This company is very unprofessional. Not only did they not do the job they did not apologize for the problems we had with them. They were suppose to fix a basement wall crack. The technician walked into a closed door bedroom where there was a young girl in bed without knocking. He was chased out by the man of the house. His excuse was he believed that was where the crack was even though he had documentation with a map of the basement and a person that lived there to guide him to the proper spot. People you hire to come in your house should be trustable. This company did not even apologize for the invasion of privacy. They blamed us for not giving them proper direction and said they are going to put our refund back on our credit card. I believe the technician was entering to room to scout it and didn't expect anyone to be there. I was told by the head office they expected the house to be empty. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY read more
