Everything else was a mess which I will explain. First of all, I was very direct with explaining how fair skin I am (redhead) and my expectations (very light color just to look like a normal human). The girl understood this and explained that if she did it a little darker, it would fade out nicely by my wedding on Saturday... that is not the case. This is not where I normally go but I was in the area from a conference and decided to give them a try based on their reviews. First she had me put barrier cream on the bottom of my hands and fingers which means that I now have the brutal lines on my hands and buildup of tan in places. Second, she somehow sprayed my arms in a way that left a small white strip on the top of each arm that extends my entire arm length. Third... I'm orange (especially with my hands and ankles) and my face is much lighter than my body... no consistency. I want to say that I made sure to follow her instructions (wait the appropriate amount of time then rinse, be careful in the shower, moisturize, etc. However with all of that... I panicked today and went to my normal place. The girl looked at me and her first words were "oh.... my". In her years of tanning she has never seen anyone spray me the way that this place did. I'm not saying they can't handle girls who aren't super pale.. but this was the worst spray tan ever.

She asked me to look over myself after she was finished and had stepped out. The lighting in the room was odd and it was difficult to see the coloration. As the day went on I kept finding splotches of uneven color I would try to rub off a bit, like the machine was not spraying properly and caused darker random freckles. I can live with that. I didnt notice anything further that bothered me until eight hours later when getting ready for bed. I'm wearing a strapless black dress and there is a very distinct line on my inner arm on both sides where there is absolutely no color. It's tan, then white. It goes from the inside inner upper arm to the back side of it and is very very noticeable from the back. Now it's had time to set in and I don't know that I can fade that distinct line in time, and if I can the color is still missing. I am leaving town for the wedding and cannot do a touch up. I am overall happy with the airbrushing but this section being missed on each side it is very frustrating and I hope it isn't too completely obvious at the ceremony. If I weren't in the wedding party it wouldn't be a big deal, but I am and this is upsetting. Probably won't got back.

I've never had my hair professionally colored, nor have I been to an American based salon before. Groupon: My groupon consisted of color and cut. When I entered the store, the girl who was going to be working on my hair informed me that if I wanted a balayage that it would cost $30 extra, and for the length of my hair, another $20 (on Groupon they constantly advertise balayage, but there is no mention of the extra costs there). My friend who bought the same groupon said she was not charged extra, which is why I decided to give it a try, but low and behold. You know what, that's fine, I've already bought the groupon and was already sitting down. Experience: I asked for a trim of my long hair and a balayage. Trim: I asked for a basic trim, or about 1 inch off. I assume, easy enough. I'm not asking for something really bizarre? She literally only cuts the TOP portion of my hair and straight cut the rest. It's extremely choppy, jagged, and straight up looks like I asked my 10 year old cousin to do it for me. I didn't even realize it was this bad until I saw it today, which is why I decided to write a review. You might ask, why didn't I notice this in the salon or before? You sit facing AWAY from any mirrors at the salon, which is strange to begin with. I hated the haircut from the beginning and thought it was really bad, but I didn't know how bad it was until my mom pointed it out recently. See below for pictures. Balayage: not great, not terrible. I barely see the new color, but it's very similar to what I previously had. During the time the girl was dying my hair, she asked the owner many questions as to how to correctly balayage, what's the correct technique, how to put foil on, etc. she did not seem like she completely knew what she was doing and this should've been my sign. Sadly, my hair was curled at the end so even when looking in the mirror, it was hard to tell there was any issues. This entire experience makes me wary to try any new places again. Especially anything off of groupon.
