I got up and walked out about 2 mins in to meeting Dr Fred Bond. I have never experienced such a…read morerude dentist. He was very impatient and snappy and treated me like I was a HUGE inconvenience and waste of his time. First off, I am currently pregnant with my 5th child. My kids love going to the dentist and we keep up on their dental appointments, but as a mother I do tend to put myself on the back burner a lot and i have not had dental insurance in quite some time. So I have not been to a dentist in about 6 or 7 years. My teeth are not in terrible shape, I still brush and floss, I just don't always make time for myself. I did struggle with PPD about 6 years ago, but I finally gathered the will to make myself a dentist appointment fulling knowing and ready to pay that whole expense out of pocket, because I hit my front tooth and I have a TINY chip. it makes me self conscious and its a littles sharp and I was worried I cracked the tooth. When I called to make the appointment the ladies were very kind when I overloaded them with all the info (7 years no dental care, currently pregnant, chipped tooth and a possible cavity in back tooth that was there last time I saw a dentist they were keeping an eye on) I scheduled a cleaning and to see what dr could do. I got called back and Dr Fred Bond came in and I was seated in the STATIONARY chair that only goes and leans back and he sat in a chair with wheels on it BEHIND me and starts asking me questions. Mind you i am carrying an above average sized baby and not quite as flexible in the torso as usual right now so, when i answered i was facing the way the chair was facing, away from him. When i answered he raised his voice at me and scolded me "I'M OVER HERE! I CAN'T HEAR YOU WHEN YOU'RE TALKING AWAY FROM ME!" Then maybe sit in front of me? This dr has not even introduced himself just started asking questions and i was already embarrassed about not going to the dentist in so long and i dont even know what he looks like because he's sitting behind me. I still apologized and put my feet over the side of the chair to turn and look at him. It doesnt stop there though, he started asking me about medications i am on and i am on a medication for POTS that is a stimulant (oked by my OB) and he starts scolding me about taking it while pregnant and i let him know that it was oked by my OB and he makes it very clear he thinks im lying about that. when he starts asking about my concerns i addressed the chip in my front tooth and the cavity in the back tooth and started to say i wanted a cleaning, he interrupted me, *scoff, eyeroll "PICK ONE!" What do you mean pick one did i not book an appointment time for a cleaning and to have the chip and cavity looked a? Obviously i would have to schedule a second appointment for for fillings and to have the chip fixed, i know how it works its not like I've NEVER been to a dentist, but i was there for a cleaning and consult. So i asked about the chipped tooth and he again rolled his eyes at me like i was inconveniencing his whole day and said "IT'S JUST A CHIP!" i said "i am self conscious about it and its sharp and i was worried i may have like a hairline crack from it." He said "WELL ALL I CAN DO IS FILE IT DOWN!" I'm not sure thats true i did not want it filed down. My oldest chipped his tooth once and they had something that matched the color of his tooth and they reshaped his tooth to look normal and thats what i was hoping for, but this man made me feel so judged and uncomfortable. So i started crying at this point and i let them know i wanted to leave because i was very uncomfortable. When i FINALLY got a good look at the dr, his shirt was COVERED in what looked like beard hairs and he was very greasy looking. I try not to judge others but he literally just had his hands in my mouth I have been going to that same office since it was dr Shaheen's office before he retired and stayed when it was taken over by, i believe, his daughter. They were all so amazing that even after moving to Davison and living there for many years and now I live in Durand, i still chose to drive out there because that's where my kids were comfortable going. I am sad I have to try to find somewhere new.

I've been a patient for 30 years at this location. Since Dr. Shaheen retired, I've seen 5-6…read moredifferent dentists and 3 hygienists. Obviously the staff is too unhappy to stay. I drive 30 minutes to go there. I will find someone closer to home so I can have continuity of care from one visit to the next. It seems like the staff turns over every 6 months as I get new people each and every time.

The receptionists took it upon themselves to cancel all appointments for all my children, despite the concern being for only one. Receptionists are rude and unprofessional, the dentist himself was fine. I would strongly urge parents to choose another practice for their children.

Giving one star because giving zero stars isn't an option…read more I was a patient at this office from my childhood to adolescence, 1994-2005 timeframe, and Dr. Daniel Carroll was my dentist. Being someone who had poor teeth from the time I was a baby (heredity) and having had a less than desirable experience at my very first dentist (I was 6 and the dentist didn't have a good track record with children), my mother felt extremely comfortable taking me here because Dr. Carroll was excellent with children. I do not fault her for this. As a child, I loved visiting Dr. Carroll, the stuffed animals they let you hold during dental procedures was great, as well as the toy chest you got to visit before you left! It wasn't until my early-twenties that we learned how terrible a mistake it was to place my dental care in the hands for Dr. Carroll. I am now 29, and in the last six years I have undergone 3 extractions (not my wisdom teeth), 1 abscess, 3 root canals, 5 crowns, and had 1 bridge placed. Yes, part of the reason for this is the fact that I didn't have dental insurance during college and my teeth suffered, but Dr. Carroll is mostly to blame. My current dentist, whom is hands down the best dentist I have ever visited, informed me that the dental work I had received on my adult teeth was less than subpar. He explained that when the original cavities were filled, all of the decay wasn't removed/drilled out. While my teeth looked beautiful on the outside, they were rotting from the inside out. This is why my teeth appeared fine, until they broke off and exposed decaying tooth and/or abscessed. I would go back to this office and pursue legal action but I believe that the statue of limitations is up. All I can do now is warn today's parents to stay away from this office and Dr. Carroll at all costs.
