It's a pretty pricey and touristy clothing store and not really our style. It fits in though with many of the wealthy tourists that come through Fish Creek, so I could see it working well for others. They also have a great location for walk-ins right in the heart of Fish Creek's Main St. read more

An upscale boutique in the heart of downtown Fish Creek. Lots of really nice clothing for men and women. $$$ They take up 2 storefronts with a gigantic boat on the men's side. Very cool. Downstairs they have more touristy clothing and a small children's section. I ended up buying a really cool Liverpool branded striped jacket. I have other Liverpool clothing and knew that they have very trendy, preppy and lovely patterns and fabrics. The staff go out of their way to greet you and help you. Love this! Beautiful store with very cool Chris Craft wooden boat inside. Top quality but very expensive clothes with great colors and textures are what this store sells. I stopped by unexpectedly in need of jeans in Late November while traveling in Egg Harbor. They had a great pair and at 50% off they were even at the right price. It's true that nobody offered to help us while we were there and we had to rummage through the entire store ourselves, but overall not a bad experience. Stop by. read more

I have been very disappointed in this store! My husband spent over $300 on new clothing with no discounts or sales involved. Less than two weeks later we went in and they were selling everything for 25% off and would not give us any discount. On Deck is a pretty great apparel store, however, the people who work here (Fish Creek AND Sister Bay) are extremely rude and pretentious. I've not met one friendly person I the five years I've been staying in Door County. They seem to be kinder to the women and men who are dressed up. If you're in your beach gear or workout clothes, they will walk right past you. "Pretty Woman" anyone??? Again, this goes for both locations. It's incredibly sad, since we're paying for their overpriced items. They should be grateful. They wouldn't have business if it wasn't for the thousands of tourists that come through. read more

This particular store has one of the rudest employees I have ever encountered. I was trying on hats and she walked by me three times. Did not ask if I needed help or if I was interested in a purchase. Then at five minutes until six she was pushing us out the door saying she was ready to go home. I did not buy anything here. Sad since I was really interested in purchasing the hat. I ended up buying a hat at another store where the employee was much nicer and way more helpful. On Deck Clothing Company is one of the long time stores in Door County. They have several locations, but I like the Fish Creek location the best. It is worth the stop just to see the old wood boat. The clothing is above average in quality. This is not your typical tourist T-Shirt store. You will fine Door County logo clothing, but not tacky items. The prices are above average too for both their men's side and their women's side of the store. read more

One of my favorite clothing stores, stylish and unusual items that are hard to find anywhere else. Staff keep their distance as alluded to in other reviews but very nice and helpful when asked. The staff at Fish Creek was friendly and very helpful. They took the time to call the Sturgeon Bay store to find a sweater in the size I wanted for my husband. We traveled to Sturgeon Bay where the woman who waited on us was very lovely and we talked about ice fishing and our Wisconsin weather. The staff is HORRIBLE! All of the dressing rooms were filled with clothes other customers had tried on. When I asked If I could go in to try on some items, the sales lady expressed her annoyance that no one could put the clothes away that they didn't plan to purchase and instead she had to do it. Meanwhile she had been chatting away with another employee the entire time I had been there. Since when are customers in charge of keeping a store running? After I picked out some items I liked my 4 year old daughter wanted to take them to the register for me, which I allowed. Apparently this was a huge annoyance to this same sales lady, because when I nicely reiterated to her that I wanted to buy the items, she gave me little more then a snort as a response. Also, my mom asked her if one of the items was a dress or long shirt, and her response was to tell my mom to look at the tag. Interestingly, as soon as her boss walked in, her tune completely changed and she was suddenly nice. Her behavior was disgusting and enough to keep me from ever shopping at that store again, which is a shame because they had some great clothes. read more

RUDE employees at the Sister Bay location. We are long-time visitors to Sister Bay, and discovered that the t-shirt shop we usually go to (by Piggly Wiggly) had closed, so we shopped at On Deck - Sister Bay for hoodies. My daughter overheard the older salesladies complaining to each other about how they had to re-fold the hoodies. The sign said to return the stack to the front, rather than try to put them back, and so I did so. When I asked where the counter was, the saleslady gestured vaguely, and then expressed annoyance that I couldn't see it. Then, she told my daughter she should really try them on one at a time, and that now she had so many to re-shelve. These were older women, too, and should know more about customer service. They have a good selection of overpriced merchandise, but the clerks clearly dislike their jobs, and are very unfriendly. We will not be back. I'd suggest hiring some new employees who have some customer service skills, and who realize that re-shelving merchandise is a big part of their job. read more
