He quoted to remove trees from our property, but then had to sub contract it out, as he doesn't have any of the equipment to do the work. The process took a long time. We had to chase him down as we paid a deposit and he didn't follow up. Finally he put us in touch with the company he gave the work to. Thye said this happens frequently - meaning he represents himself s the company that will do the work. He then tries to find a company that will do it for the price quoted. If he shared up front that he doesn't do the work, I may have felt differently, but he went out of his way to not share this point. I would never use Sawyer Tree Service of West Boylston nor would I recommend him.

It was a big job removing 13 - 180' white pines around our property. They worked a long day into the evening hours and ran out of daylight leaving 1 tree left to be removed. We paid him in full and he promised the next job he had the crane, he would come back and remove the last one. 11 weeks later, we still have that one tree. Upon contacting him a number of times, he's saying he can't rent a crane for one tree and would like us to let him off the hook for the last tree because our job ended up costing him $. I asked him to ask his tree climber if he would come take it down and he was supposed to call me...never heard from him. They did a good job on the trees that did take care of but my contract was not satisfied completely. It appears as though he subbed out the work & rented the equipment. 2 days later I received a 2nd quote for $5,000 less from another tree service. I have very mixed feelings about Sawyer Tree Service. I overpaid for the work and only ended up with 92% completed. Very disappointing.

Tree removal is not a fun way to spend money, and we had been procrastinating having this service performed. But, after having Ed, Eddie, and Jack from Tree Sons thoroughly explain how the work would be conducted at what seemed to be a fair, reasonable price, we decided to move forward with the work. Hiring Tree Sons was a great decision. Their large crane and skills allowed them to access and remove trees from around our one acre property without damaging the lawn or other landscaping. To me, it seemed like a huge task, and I was impressed with how quickly they downed the trains, chipped the branches, and stacked the logs for removal. I hope our remaining trees will thrive, but if you need tree removal, I highly recommend going bing Tree Sons a call.

"Buy a house with mature landscaping," my husband suggested. Twenty years later, much of that…read moremature landscaping was dead. Our home is surrounded by very mature trees- many spruce, ash, oak, and maple. The ash have been dead for a while and this year, a giant Norway spruce thinned out and began to worry us. Enter Tree Sons Tree Service- they came out to do an estimate and then when we realized there were a few more trees we'd want removed, they came back out and we were assured that they would take care of all the dead ash in that section. Their knowledge of trees and how far one could reach if it fell was really helpful in deciding which trees should stay or go. They are able to pick dead trees out from in between others that are still alive! It's amazing! And, their quote was less than the others we got- the equipment is expensive so of course the work is as well. Unfortunately, I had to go to work and had to miss the fun of the crane dangling trees over our house, but when I came home, the trees were gone, and my yard had been cleaned up! All in a day's work! Note: they didn't grind stumps but they disclosed that and I was not expecting that to be done. I would absolutely recommend Tree Sons if you are looking for pruning or tree removal. Honest humans who do their own work without subcontract, and the kindest family to be in business with!
