The most expensive things we saw were perfectly seasoned old cast iron pans and those are truly worth the price written. I am thankful that Lewistown (where I grew up and visit once or twice per year), is one of the lucky ones. The place is absolutely charming, occupying the bottom floor of a stately old house in the heart of downtown. They make excellent use of the space and offer something for everyone on beautiful wooden shelves. Bibliophiles of all ages and interests are covered here. The children's section gets its own room and the selection there is particularly strong. There are a few places to sit if you find yourself getting lost in a prospective purchase. Besides books, they carry puzzles, games, calendars, cards, and some decorative items. It takes passion and dedication to open a shop like this in today's retail landscape. I sincerely hope that they flourish! I will be sure to visit every time that I'm in town.
