I don't understand why they're so picky when there is nothing on the shelves. I don't even try to sell to them anymore, but I do pop in and I have noticed that everything over 3t is very slim pickings. They need to know that we are not shopping at second hand stores for button downs. Where are the dinosaur t shirts? Minecraft? Pokemon? Literally any t shirts. Everything they have is expensive and impractical. This picture perfectly sums them up. I honestly don't know how this store is still open. It's way too expensive for what is offered. They're super picky I washed my baby's clothes three times so it wouldn't smell like smoke I sprayed down toys left them in the sun and they said it still smells like smoke i've tried plenty of times taking my things to them but I just waste time and money trying to get my items to not have an odor or clean and they don't take them I just sell my stuff on facebook market place if not that then I just take them to goodwill. This store is over priced anyway & barely has anything good in it. I don't understand why they need them super squeaky clean when I buy used clothes I wash them immediately before I let my child wear them and used toys too I spray alcohol all over them and sit in the sun before I let them play with them. The quality and amount of clothing was not nearly what it should be. The attitude of the staff accepting clothes to be sold was very rude. I was told the entire bag of clothes I had brought in were not clean smelling even though I had washed them within a couple of days before. They were then all rejected and basically shoved back at me. Pretty embarrassing. Most of these were like new, brand name clothes for boys which this store definitely lacks. Very small selection, especially for boys. It used to be my go to store, but not any more. I would rather give the clothes to charity instead. I won't be returning to this store. read more

Female owner is a complete racist! Racially profiled the moment me and my husband walked into the store. Was not helpful, extremely rude, and a liar! Claimed items reeked of odor when they did not and a store employee even agreed with me that they did not. Store employee even admitted not all items were even checked. Did a lackluster job at best and the store looks like a complete wreck with bins upon bins stacked in the walkway as soon as you open the door. I have tried three times to take my clothes there. Every time they have an excuse on why they can't take them. Each time I wash and dry and put straight into a bag. They always say they find pet hair, my clothes stink ( well in that case downy stinks) and my shoes are dirty how clean do they need to be for them to buy back. Went in to sell a baby stroller and a Ka'tan baby wrap. They wouldn't buy the stroller due to a slight discoloration. I wasn't going to fight them on it. But what really got me heated was the fact they wouldn't buy back the Ka'tan wrap because apparently they said it was missing a piece! Last time I checked, you can even look it up online, the Ka'tan wrap is literally just a wrap! Uh hello?!?! You work in a baby store you idiot. How about you do some research and you will find that the Ka'tan wrap has no other attachment to it. What I find funny is that we bought that same exact wrap FROM THEIR STORE three days ago. We lost the freakin receipt and needed to get a larger size because it was too small. I tried to tell them that we bought it exactly how it is and didn't come with anything else because it didn't need anything else. They tried to say that it may have been a mistake. Screw this store. I've had luck the few times I have been here including today! Most items were 50% off today and I have twins so I was able to get many things basically 2 for 1 which was great! You do sort have have to have a goal in mind and a direction if you want success haha similar to searching for things in like a thrift store I like to have goals in mind of certain things I need or looking for rather than wander I seem to have better luck that way! The prices here aren't too bad to me I think they are pretty fair. Haven't had any issues with the staff and they greeted me and asked if I found everything ok when I checked out. Haven't sold anything here I do better selling on my own I learned a long time ago that resales aren't good for that unless you are only looking to get store credit but even then seems like a lot of work for a little. Only giving one star because the blonde haired manager has been nice the 3 times I've been to the store. However, this is the worst Once Upon a Child chain I've ever encountered. I've bought and sold at OUaC in San Antonio, Waco, Moore, OKC, Ft Worth and this one is THE WORST! The staff is rude and does not communicate well (mumble when they speak, don't smile, don't look you in the eye, act like robots). The place is a mess. I had an easier time at the DMV getting my state drivers license than dealing with this place. They only want items that are brand new or barely worn and give nothing for them. The hassle is not worth the $10-$12 you might make on selling the clothes. I'd rather donate them than deal with this place EVER again. read more

This Once Upon A Child has hardly a good selection of anything other than clothes and toys. The shoes they resale are of poor quality, something I'd expect to see in a thrift store, not a franchise. I never have any luck finding a wrap, good baby carrier, nice looking shopping cart cover, or nice books. The prices on clothing and used toys are what you'd expect and the selection for them varies well. Other than that, not much special about this location. I think I prefer Threads Kids to this particular store, and that's because they have less of a selection! Threads Kids has more expensive/hard-to-find pieces of clothing that are fashionable and better quality. Quality over quantity, guys. You shouldn't be charging so much cash for shoes that look like they've been worn and torn for over a year. Regardless, the staff is nice. Like said above, this store is very hit or miss. When you are in need of clothing, the staff is very courteous. However, when selling clothing, the staff is unprofessional. I was told I would have a call back time 5 hours after I dropped off one tub of clothing. If I didn't hear back by closing, I would "for sure" hear back by noon the next day. I heard back the next day after noon and was told I had to make it to the store within an hour and a half. I informed the store that I probably couldn't make it by that time and I had to get special dispensation from the owner. I was told that I had to make it in the next day. When I got to the store, there was no greeting by any staff. Once I made it to the counter, there was no eye contact and plenty of attitude from the person working the counter. I probably will find another place to donate my used clothing, even if I do not get any compensation. read more
