Clothes are well curated and organized. I found their prices to be on the high side. Example: pair of Chico's linen pants (new) for $55 ....I would be better off shopping g at Chico's markdown rack that always has between 20-50% off the mark down price. I might be used to more thrift store prices but I find good deals at a fraction of the cost. read more

Was excited to try this new consignment store, until I walked into a highly anxious and horrible attitude from the owner. My 7 year old, who was by my side the whole time, was getting condescending remarks anytime she would touch a shirt. She also blamed her for the mess of shoes on the ground (adult shoes at that), when my daughter was next to me the whole time. The store itself is fully stocked and had some great stuff that I was interested in buying, but the attitude of the owner ruined the experience. There are many other stores in town that have better products for the price they sell their second hand items that comes with a genuine smile. read more

I've been coming here for a little over two years to consign my clothes and while it was never great from the start, I sucked it up for some cash. I will be going elsewhere from now on. * Get paid with a check? They charge a $2 check fee. *Not enough money for a check? They pay you cash, and when you ask what item it was for, they cannot tell you because apparently they don't mark it down. *Did they schedule your date to pick up clothes on Monday when they're not even open? Too bad, you may not come in their next business day, you MUST pick them up before --even if it happens to be before the weekend which is probably their busiest time. *Can't find an article of clothing? They'll charge you to go find it, so make sure it isn't on the wall or somewhere else it wouldn't normally be. *They moved to appointment only even though it was never more than a 5 minute wait to drop clothes (which keeps people in the store longer to shop BTW.) *Are you going to be 5 minutes late driving from out of town? TOO BAD because their clock runs 5 minutes fast and they'll cancel your drop off even if you only have 3 items to drop off when you can normally drop off 12, giving you plenty buffer time during your appointment slot. *While I was there the next appointment was 5 minutes late, did they say anything? No... When she was done in 4 minutes, no one else came in for the 10 minutes after she left and I was still finding my clothes, and it was not offered to drop my clothes off. *If I can edit, I will add the rest I repressed so I could keep consigning my clothes. I'm not habitual in tardiness, I've been bringing clothes for 2 years, my mom and I buy clothes from here, and I recommend people to shop here. After my last pick up, I will no longer bring clothes here, buy clothes here, or recommend this business to people. Being turned away from dropping off 3 articles of clothes for being 5 minutes late, even though they know you've driven 40 miles, is NOT how you keep loyal customers. read more

First time consigning. Never again. I had read others' comments about this owner's rigidity, and experienced it to some degree with the staff when I consigned, but thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt. When I went to pick up my unsold items 1/2 day late, the clerk told me it was too late and now they are the property of the store. When I talked to the owner, who just a few minutes before, had smiled and welcomed me, she was condescending and rude the minute I asked her about this. "Rules are rules and they are not to be broken," she said. I said "what about customer service for a first time consigner?" And she said no and she didn't care if I write a review. Then she sarcastically said, "Have a nice day." How old-fashioned and unpleasant they are. Afterwards, I thought what if the owner had said, "What do you think you will do with the items that didn't sell?" I would have reflected and said, "Probably take them to Goodwill." She might have said, "Well, we both wish they had sold, but since the pickup date expired, how about I try to sell them for a discounted price, and you'd be helping a local small business." I guarantee you that an approach like that would have ensured that the end result was the same for the store, but so much more pleasant for the customer and they would have not incurred ill will. I hope they will consider a different approach in the future. read more

This shop is very well organized And had a good selection of merchandise without being crammed on the racks. The employees were friendly and helpful. The only reason I'm giving this a four is because I did not enjoy shopping while listening to Christian music. read more

Went after work and the ladies very nicely announced the upcoming closing time without being pushy in the least. Large selection and everything was in good to great condition - no stains, holes, etc. that you'll find other places. Pricing was reasonable with rotating sales on different color tags. This business sucks for their consignors. I'm banned from consigning there because I reported her to the Better Business Bureau. I went to pick up my clothing that did not sell on a Monday not realizing they were closed on Mondays so I went the next day. I was told that the clothes were the property of Jypsy's since I was a day late. I then said they were closed therefore I came the next day at which time I was then told once again I should have come for pick up the previous week & that was stated in the contract which it was not. I then asked for my other items to be returned to me & was told that I could not have them. Yesterday I went in the business to pick up another item that didn't sell & my small check of $13 & was given the clothes that were rightfully mine to begin with that I had to sign for & saw the note of banishment permanently from the store which was fine with me because I wasn't intending of ever darkening her doorstep. So when I was walking out I mentioned to Jypsy I had no intentions of ever consigning there again at which time she started praying with her hands raised as if she was performing an exocism proving to me that she's a "basket case". read more

I recently discovered this store. I needed a green shirt for saint patty's day. The ladies were so sweet and helpful. I loved the Christian music that was playing in the background. Everything was so well organized and clean. I will be going here often possibly once a week. I love thrift shopping and this is one of my favorite places to thrift shop in Corpus Christi. read more

Have been taking clothes,shoes ,purses, and jewelry for several years. The ladies that work there do thoroughly check the clothes and whatever you may want to drop off.I have never been treated unkindly by any of the staff, and I also appreciate that they only take only what is in excellent condition and current season, because I shop there also. DON'T make these people money. I was going to sell something and asked for it back because they weren't able to sell it for what I purchased it for which was at a discounted price, understandably I had no problem with that and simply wanted my items back. She was angry that I was taking my items back and tossed my paper back at me and preceded to make rude faces at my 1 year old whom I was holding and thrust my items back at me and said here, we don't want them anyways! Another employee at the same counter began mocking me and speaking in a condescending manor and laughing out loud saying, Did you actually think you were going to make money?!! Reselling works great, I agree with this, but only if both ends of the bargain make a small profit. Does it make sense to resell items you purchase for less than half of the purchase price? So that only the place you are selling them at makes money? Obviously not. People who resell want a profit, or at least to break even...Am i right? Why on earth would I only resell items so that I lose $50 out of my pocket, and Jypsy makes $50.00??? Common sense? Am I asking too much to actually make some extra cash? According to Jypsy, re-sellers aren't supposed to make money. Don't waste your time dealing with resale shops who view consumers and re-sellers as less than human. Throw anything away you thought of reselling here with peace of mind...or better yet donate it to someone who can use it and appreciate your kindness. *The Women's shelter of Corpus Christi, 361-881-8888 can use your women's accessories and will gladly appreciate your support.* Jypsy Treasure's, in business for themselves and aren't nice about it behind closed doors. Would not recommend at all. Found staff to be deceitful hiding facts about clothing being left for sale. Never saw the brand new clothing(with tags) on the floor to sell. Was told it was still being "processed and would be out soon". Called several times to see if clothing sold and was told "not yet, maybe this month" went 3 days later and was told, with a smile on their face, that store had taken possession of clothes due to 90 day limit. Any argument I had to get my clothing back, was told again with a cocky smile, that I just didnt read the contract., the clothing was theirs now. Personally feel the staff had their eyes onthis clothing for themselves as soon as I walked in. Do not trust this business, I will never go again read more

DO NOT GO HERE. The staff is old, crotchety and RUDE. I took a pair of Badgley Mischka shoes here and honestly I probably should have just taken them to Goodwill. I may not have gotten any money, but at least their employees have better attitudes. I've never used a consignment before and I'm not familiar with "protocol". It had been a good couple of months, maybe three months, since I dropped off my shoes; I hadn't heard from the store, so I figured I'd call to find out if my shoes were still there or not. Because I live an hour north of Corpus calling is easier than just stopping by the store. So, I called and told the lady that I didn't have my ticket number on me; I kid you not, this is what came out of that cantankerous lady's mouth, verbatim (in an EXTREMELY rude tone): "What do you mean you don't have it? How could you not have it? That's like losing your social security number or your bank account number, that's ridiculous," and then she continued her little spiel, "there's absolutely no way I can look it up for you, and I'm really busy right now!" FINALLY I asked if I could just show up with my ID and her response was "Well, I don't even need your ID" ... (So, tell me why she can't tell me "Yes, your shoes are still here" or "No, your shoes are not here because they've been sold" over the phone if I don't even need an ID in store?) Well, the terrible customer service doesn't stop there. I make my way to Corpus and the lady at the front desk has NO problem looking up my account by my name to see if my shoes are still there, or if they've been sold; I'm not exactly sure how the ill-mannered lady had "absolutely no way" to look it up. The lady at the front desk sends me to the back, where I stand for 5-10 minutes while this white-haired employee finishes her gossiping with another employee. From the words that were coming out of her mouth, I presume she was the uncouth old lady from my phone conversation earlier in the day. Bottom line... if you really want to take your clothes to a consignment, find another place in town with nicer people. This place is a joke. This is the first and last time I will ever EVER take anything to any of these places. At least at Goodwill you'd be providing people in need with nice items/clothing rather than filling the pockets of old, rude, greedy women. read more

All I can say to the negative reviewers is that they must have hit a very temporary employee on a very bad day. They should give the store a 2nd chance. I've been buying & consigning at Jypsy's for 20 years, and I keep going back precisely because the employees are helpful. Yes, they are sometimes brusque when they are super busy. But I've never seen or heard them be rude to anyone. And while I may not sell everything I consign, or get a fortune for what I do sell, it's more profit for me than putting the items in a garage sale. Going to Jypsy's has always been a positive experience for me. read more
