We looked over the entire store, clothing, toys, holiday, baby etc...we decided on a few necessary items we couldn't live without! Saige picked out a Robotic snake, some neon markers, a snorkle set for her upcoming beach trip and a squashmallow animal for a snuggly pal aka pillow for her trip. Noel found a few clothing pieces, and I picked up a few things for her upcoming shower and a baby outfit for shower! We love Gabe's and now so does Saige!!!

I drove in on Sunday, and wasn't sure anyone was home yet, so popped in here to kill some time. To say that this is an overwhelming experience for someone not familiar with Gabe's is an understatement. First stop, the West Virginia section of just everything West Virginia - shirts, sweatshirts, long sleeve tee's blankets, stadium blankets, football WVU branded items - for men, women, children, baby, household and oh what prices. $3 to roughly $20 made for exceptional stocking stuffers for me. As a side note, I went back two more times in my 5 day stay in Parkersburg. You cannot take it all in, in one visit. I bought a pair of velvet Talbots red (perfect for Christmas!) slacks for $7, with the tag for $128 still attached. The downside of this is that I didn't realize until I got back to New Jersey that the security tag is STILL ON! (so still need to figure that one out). Got a J Crew blouse for $2, not a tshirt, a nice black blouse. What you need to keep in mind is that you will need to spend a good bit of time going through racks and racks of items with absolutely no rhyme or reason as to how they display them. Not by size, not by season, not by anything. But you will have fun.

In this day age it's just as easy to order on the phone and then open your door. I want to say yesterday was really nice. The selection and value at Kohl's was very good. The store was clean and organized. Which isn't an easy task with all the people that just like to leave things in various places anymore. Our checkout clerk Lily was so pleasant, she just made our day. She wasn't just doing it for a tip either. No photos are included of me in my new clothes, but trust me, we saved enough we both smiled.

I only go there now if I have to return and item from Amazon as they are a return location for items purchased online. There's a woman who works returns that has been rude and condescending every time I have needed to return an item. She needs to not be in customer service.

I think their prices are higher but they still have a great selection. This store also opens into the mall. We were here school clothes shopping for the kids and had a blast.
