If you're down to scrounge, this place might be for you (I'd just urge you to wash your hands after). That said, I specifically went here today because I needed a stapler. Mine went missing when I moved (probably in some box I've yet to unpack in my storage unit), and there's zero need to purchase a brand new stapler when I know I can get an old reliable Swingline from a thrift place like this (plus, I remembered on my first amble through here that they had a whole basket of staplers). Sure enough, I was able to acquire a stapler. But you can bet your ass that I brought along some staples to test out said staplers... the first one I picked up had a busted spring, but the second was fully functional. Both had been priced at $3. I mention this simply as a word of warning to consider testing before you buy.) I also picked up a bobbin thread case and a quart sized bag of crayons (both priced at $3) while I was there. This place is good for finding the kind of craft stuff your granny would keep around at a low price. And honestly, you're doing the environment a BIG favor to snag this kind of thing off a thrift store shelf rather than "convenience buy" it off Amazon or whatever. You can save money and feel good about yourself. The rest of the store has stuff like glassware, clothing, kids stuff, and holiday decor. It's not all amazing stuff. I reckon a lot of folks donate stuff they don't care to sort through when an elderly parent finally kicks it. The employee behind the checkout counter was a little slow to bother acknowledging me, but once we were interacting, they were friendly enough and wished me a good day; seemed like they were happy I actually bought something instead of just browsing.

They are now located in Saint Paul on Snelling and I'm thrilled as a STP girly. My friend introduced me to the shop after she scored some cowboy boots for a themed party. We visited together on a Sunday and were able to snag some fun deals including a swimming suit, a dress I plan to wear for Halloween, and some tops. Buffalo Exchange sells both men and women's clothing along with shoes and accessories. Pricing is fair and the interior is clean and well organized. The staff is friendly and helps bring items to the dressing room to try on and write your name on a big board. Upon purchase, you will be handed a token if you don't take a bag or bring your own bag. From there, you get to pick a charity of your choice to donate a percentage of your purchase to with no extra fees included. Amongst favoring second hand wear, I also support Buffalo Exchange's mission and variety of items. I look forward to finding more gems very soon. Welcome to Saint Paul!!!

When all of a sudden, this gorgeous orange velvet couch caught my eye. It was listed at this location so I had to go check it out. Within minutes of sitting on it at the store my decision was made. I'm the proud new owner of this sweet vintage orange velvet couch! I love the uniqueness of it and it's perfect in our living room. The couch was in great condition and even had new foam in the cushions. Lindsey (co-owner) was so sweet. The look on her face when we told her we were buying it was priceless. She was so excited for us and told us the background of where the couch came from, so cool! We were able to purchase it and pick it up that same day, peep the pics!! The store itself was put together so nicely. So many small vintage pieces for home decor and for a great price. It's all street parking but there was plenty of it in the quiet south minneapolis neighborhood. You can also enjoy the store online and even purchase in-store items through the website.
