Impossible to communicate with this company. Their 'LiveChat' is exceedingly difficult to find and to access. On trying I was 32 in the queue and had to wait for ages to commence the chat. They publish no email address or telephone numbers. When I succeeded in getting on 'LiveChat' it was cut off when I queried their demand for a £39 admin fee because I had mistakenly not completed no-fault accident details. I asked where to send proof of no-fault but am still awaiting details and cannot find how to upload on their website. When I asked for the cost of cancelling my policy I was told £91.61, refund £23.77 from the less than a month old £114.38 premium paid for motorcycle policy. The worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. I will be taking this complaint to the Insurance Ombudsman. NOT IMPRESSED! read more

On 2 occasions trying to change my motorhome insurance to another one I was buying, first time after giving them all the details, they would not quote me till I was ready to buy it ,this took me 2 hours. The next time I tried to get a quote for the same motorhome, they told me I couldn't change it on the policy I had with them, even though it was on the same chassis just a different make of motorhome, they told me I would have to cancel that policy and take out a new one ,this I did with a different insurance company, that you could speak to a real person. I went to cancel the policy that cost me £273 but they told me there's no refund due, I'd only had the insurance for 3 months, no claims ect ,total rip off, would no recommend this company, onecall read more

AVOID .. NO ONE THERE TO MAKE A CLAIM!! BE AWARE. THEY WERE NOT AVAILABLE TO MAKE AN URGENT CLAIM. THEY DO NOT RETURN CALLS. IF YOU CANCEL THEY USE DEBT COLLECTION EVEN BEFORE THE POLICY HAS LASPED. A V O I D. A V O I D. A V O I D. Being elderly, alone and in poor health my insurances are vital to me. They provide me with the security and peace of mind knowing that I have help in any emergency if anything is wrong with my home. I have needed to claim twice both no being paid as no one was available to take the calls. I could not get a response when water and effluent was bubbling up through all sinks and plug holes and so I had to pay £360 to have the emergency repair done myself. When someone eventually answered to get payment they said they won't pay as it was not authorised .. regardless of no one answering my calls. Second time it was gale damage. This time someone did answer and gave me a tel no for the underwriters. I was told they would respond within 2 hrs. THEY DID NOT RESPOND AT ALL after 7 calls, 4 messages left. And so again I had to pay for the repairs myself. AS I WAS TOTALLY UNABLE TO GET THE COVER I PAID FOR I HAD NO CHOICE BUT GET THE PEACE OF MIND OF A POLICY WITH A MORE REPUTABLE COMPANY .. ONLY TO BE RELENTLESSLY PURSUED FOR £111.00 CANCELLATION FEE. read more

Totally untrustworthy. They direct you to use the online portal. There is no phone number. When you get to the portal, expecting to find the Live Chat as the letter says, there is no Live Chat. It's just a never ending circle of referring back to the home page. The only way to access the Live Chat is to go to Make a Complaint (if you can find it). Then you can use the Live Chat. And then you find they don't honour things anyway, but that's another story. read more

Communication is extremely poor and unprofessional. Telephone lines refer to the web page and then cut off. Web page full of apologies and faults. Left hanging without resolution and nowhere to go. My advice, avoid this company even at the expense of the more popular options. read more

This company appears to have nothing to do with insurance but are simply cash collectors who pass on your policy to real insurance companies. When my car was written off there was no way to speak to these people. They dont have an email address or phone line. All I got was illiterate people on text chat telling me I had to speak to the underwriters and that they had nothing to do with it. read more

Trying to get hold of anyone by phone or getting the right department on the online chat is diabolical. Never experienced anything like it before. I've excepted a quote off them on a comparison site, and can't get to speak to anyone , even online chat, which told me I contacted the wrong department. Massive queues on the online chat. I scrapped my car in December 2020, wrote and told One Call and asking for a refund of the 10 months unused insurance with no reply. 13 February 2021 wrote again with photocopies of receipt from scrap yard and DVLA note confirming scrapping. No response again. Then I received a letter from One Call warning me not to drive the car because it had disappeared from DVLA Insurance register and threatening further charges to cover their costs in cancelling the policy. read more

All I am trying to do is cancel my policy because I have sold my car. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to do. Constantly sent in circles by the so-called customer services and live chat I am 28 in a queue. Liars and fraudsters. Liars and fraudsters. Up until recently I had this insurer for my hubby's car. Then weeks after policy finished they raided the bank card for just over £103 for no reason and without warning (despite promising and emailing to say on the 5th feb that the card authority had been cancelled their end). Went on live chat and on many occasions I caught the operator (Claire t) on lies (that's how blatant she was) and agent Also argued and heavily insinuated I was the liar (I asked for info on how to send a file over to her to back my claims and she ignored this). I was promised a email from a manager - but nothing. Next day back onto chat and spoke with Aaron c and again just like the previous agent I caught him out telling lies on many occasions. The excuse for no email "oh well we have 48 hrs" well why not say that previously. Still waiting for my email from the manager - the only thing that coincides with the two agents is that the manager is a she. PLEASE PLEASE I URGE ANYONE PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

After my wife locked us out of our house I wanted to call one call to understand how I use the home emergency cover. But there was no phone number on the website, the web chat wasn't working and when I eventually found the number thanks to a web search, you spend over 3 minutes listening to a machine and you are lucky if that ends up getting through to a human at the end. All this, and they wanted to raise my annual cost by almost £100 next month. No way. Bye bye. read more

If I could give Onecall minus 50 stars, I would. They are worse than bad at customer service, they are criminal. Firstly, you cant get through to anyone, you have to use 7t my V5 and car key, it took them 2 weeks to collect My car from the police compound which racked up huge compound fees and resulted in the police threatening to sell my car at auction if it wasn't collected. Then when they eventually got my car, they took it miles away, up to Glasgow for repairs which is over 3 hours away, they have closer garages but we're purposefully racking up the fees so they could write the car off and sell it cheap at auction rather than repair it. they didn't even assess the damage for weeks, their manager John Love at the Glasgow O C Motor Repairs called me from his mobile and told me about all the mess in the car that the thieves had made, he clearly didn't know if looked around the car with the police while it was in the compound and it was fine beyond a couple of scratches!! john assured me he'd get back to me, the next day, which he didn't. I'm still waiting. These are a bunch of criminals, you should never ever have anything to do with them. read more

my mother moved house on the 12th of October, she has been insured with one call from may, so not too long. upon contacting one call to let them know about the address change, they said that it is not possible to update to your new address due to the insurance company (Ageas) not covering that area..... we will give you 7 days before WE cancel your policy. we can set up a new policy for you though at more than DOUBLE the cost of the original policy, my mum declined for obvious reasons. after sorting a new policy out, from moneysupermarket for less than the one call policy, today she had a letter from one call, demanding payment for a cancellation.... THAT THEY DID! we did not request this, all she wanted was to change her address, thats it. no phone number to call anyone, only live chat which honestly, is no good for the elderly like my mother, she is 68 and cannot use a computer ETC. after myself spoke to the adviser, she didn't seem to understand that we was not told about any fee during the first conversation. long story short, a VERY disappointing experience, with fees that were not disclosed to begin with all because of an address change, which if not paid, legal action will be taken. Very, very disappointed, we will not be using one call again. i would understand if she moved to Beirut, but chesterfield.....really guys?! if you are moving house, good luck. read more

Had the most awful experience with these people. Took out their 'reasonable' home insurance policy ... and was immediately charged (separately) £40 more than was quoted. No shame. When questioned (one hour 'on-line chat' going all the way to a manager!) they persistently insisted that I had selected extra cover which I had NOT!! I told them that I did not trust them and with me being 2 days into the 14 day 'cooling off' period I'd like to 'step away' and get my money back ... 'No way Jose!' .. that'll be a £50 fee. Thieves I tell you ... stay well away. read more

What a joke of a company filled in all details correctly on comparison website got transferred checked all details were correct and bought policy then when I received documentation there were errors i called to correct this unfortunately no joy with the adviser telling me its my fault because i filled it in incorrectly and more or less accused me of giving false details when I clearly stated i have been insured for a number of year but made a claim this year on my home insurance policy once I received documentation I called to correct this as the number of claim free years was incorrect and wanted to charge me an extra £120 pounds so i refused and asked to cancel the adviser was a little bullying and wouldn't honour the 14 colling off period threatening to sent me to dept collection agencys only taken policy out afew hours ago not even active why should have to pay £70 pounds charges for a policy that wasn't even active. Absolutely shocking company, came up cheapest on comparison site and now I know why! Only been with them few months and in this time they have contacted me 3 times each to extract more money from me...1) said I hadn't disclosed a previous claim on house insurance that happened 5 years ago, I had genuinley forgot about it and still can't recall what is was but was made to feel like a fraudulent criminal, 2) My wages were paid in late so 6 of my monthly direct debits didn't clear, all just attempted to retake payment apart from One call who charged me £15 and again were quite nasty. 3) Moved house and they cancelled my insurance because I didn't know when my new house was built!! I tried to resolve via live chat as they have no contact telephone number or address and they were absolutely useless and could not find any record of me, I have now been charged £115 cancellation charges, THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO read more

First of all One Call phoned me even though I had selected not to be called by the two cheapest quotes on the comparison site. They then sent me a pin number to log in to my account, so I went to their website and there is no option to log in. So I asked them on their live chat where they told me that they would email me a link. This goes against all the anti phishing advice, where it says that you shouldn't click on links on emails, and that you should go to the official website and click on the login link on there. I was unhappy about their security and asked how long it would take to get a refund if I cancelled, only to be told it would take up to 8 weeks. This is against distance selling regs. The conversation went on with her telling me loads of untruths, and refusing to pass me on to a manager. So I phoned their customer service, got cut off once, then eventually got through. The recording at the start of the call said that i could access my account through their website, but you can't. I then had another conversation where I was told that it only takes 3 to 7 days to process refunds. But she said that they charge a £49.99 cancellation fee, even during the statutory two weeks cooling off period. this is also against distance selling regulations. read more

Disgraceful customer services!! Ridiculous practices regarding the provision of proof of address. Which they then used as an excuse for cancelling my insurance and retaining ALL of the premiums paid, which I paid in advance for the full year. They also retained ALL of the premiums paid for Platinum Breakdown Cover for the whole year, which I had also paid in advance for the full year. THIS COMPANY STOLE MY MONEY. Having informed them of my change of address, they increased my premium, which again I paid in total (moved round the corner, to a house with off road parking and an alarmed garage). My royal mail made a hash of my mail and for a period of 2/3 weeks were returning all of it to the senders, by mistake. One Call then sent me a letter threatening to cancel my insurance and demanding I provide further proof of my address, I called them and confirmed I had received the letter which they had sent to the address which they had on record for me, as stated on my policy, which I had informed them about, and for which they had charged me an additional £50 approx., for informing them about. I explained that there had been a problem with the post and that as I was now calling them to discuss the contents of the letter and quoting the reference number and confirming that their records of my personal details were correct. They weren't interested in anything I had to say and despite having fully paid all of the yearly premiums in advance, they threatened to cancel my insurance if I didn't provide them with further documentary evidence of my address within 7 days. I then uploaded a photo of a utility bill onto their website, a few days later I received a letter (at my address, which they had on my policy) informing me that they had cancelled my insurance. (before the time span had expired) I called their so called Customer Services team, they claimed they didn't receive my uploaded letter, and despite my protestations weren't the slightest bit interested in anything I had to say. DON'T TOUCH THIS COMPANY WITH A BARGEPOLE!!! I have never experienced a company who talk to you and treat you as if you are a criminal attempting to defraud them!! Out of what? Your own money, which they already had. A very deliberate abuse of their own company policies (exclusive to them, to win their own little award) but more significantly they believe they are justified in taking your money, and not providing the service for which you have paid, they then keep your money, and claim that you are at fault for not jumping through their hoops They also attempt to claim that they are enforcing the law! Ludicrous, I have never even heard of another company employing this tactic. Its nothing short of extortion. I will never use this company again. I have advised everyone I know never to use them. I would strongly advise anyone even considering using them, DON'T!!!!! read more

As a result of questing the information used to calculate my motor insurance premium for the year commencing 01/02/2020. I am having protracted bullyboy tactics inflicted upon me and un-justied financial penalties imposed upon me, by onecall insurance of Doncaster. Here is my latest correspondence to onecall sent 03/02/2020 I confim receipt of you "discrepancy note" advising that you seek to un-ilaterally impose a further £226.59 charges on to my 01/02/2020 motor insurance renewal. I note that you have sent the notification form a no-reply address and that you have failed to make any effort to; a) explain you reasoning for the extra £226.59 ransom demand. b) acknowledge, let alone address any of the ten point I raised with you in my 31/01/2020 email. In light of the above I have chosen to copy the financial-ombudsman complaints department in on this and all future correspondence. For the avoidance of doubt: - I reject your latest demand for a further £226.59 premiums for insurance cover commencing 01/02/2020. - Had onecall not failed in keeping my claims history HONEST & UP TO DATE (including the incident of 04/10/2020), I would have been able to take advantage of LIKE FOR LIKE QUOTES (on comparethemarket.co.uk) commencing from as little as £350.38. - As things stand your companies antics have racked up a running total of £673.53 + £226.59 = £900.12 for cover that is available on the open market for £350.38. - I will therefore be seeking a refund of £549.74. This is in addition to the £350 I am owed as a result of onecall incorrectly deducting £350 from my settlement arising from Mr N. F. driving into the back of my truck while I was parked at a red traffic light. - I re-request that you address all of the ten points set out in my email of 31/01/2020. - I have invested more than 20 hours, thus far, in correspondence directly relating to these matters. I note, from a review of consumer review websites, that I am far from being alone in suffering this overt rapacious conduct from onecall. PLEASE RESPOND TO ALL POINT, POINT BY POINT, SET OUT IN MY EMAIL OF 31/01/2020 BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS 07/02/2020. I will be seeking the recover of my funds by en-listing the assistance of: Doncaster Trading Standards Financial Conduct Authority Financial Ombudsman Doncaster Member of Parliament Cheadle Hulme Member of Parliament BBC Radio 4 Money Box Serious Fraud Office uk On-line forum and consumer help group Doncaster Chamber Of Commerce Additions to Mr Radford's Wiki-pedia profile read more

AVOID ONE CALL DIRECT INSURANCE OR YOU WILL LOSE MONEY I found Onecalldirect on a Moneysupermarket search, their quote was the cheapest so i took it, thank GOD i never had to make a claim, i thought it strange that they needed a copy of my driving licence and the threat if i did not send it my policy would be cancelled, i sent my licence copy and everything was ok, that is until renewal time came around, my normal thing is to search for the cheapest insurance and ask my existing insure to match it.The problem with one call direct i could not get through to talk to anybody, and i did not receive a renewal in the post, it came by email but without a renewal price,so i phoned the renewal number and again i could not get through,so i informed them by email i did not wish to renew the policy.they did not reply, and then a couple of days later they renewed my policy by taking hundreds of pounds from my credit card, they even sent me an email to thank me for renewing with them, and then another email to say they could not accept my cancellation by email, they said i had to phone their renewal number, and that it was part of their terms and conditions, even though i had phoned numerous times and could not get a reply. On Monday morning i spent 40 minutes trying to get through to them, so i emailed them and gave them a number to contact me they did not- so today Tuesday i finally got through, and guess what they are charging me a cancellation fee and fees for days the policy has been in use, they are nothing more than legalised crooks. read more

I am gutted I have to even give them 1 star. Every encounter I have had with them over the first 7 months of my policy has been horrendous. When my car was stolen a few weeks into my policy they were awful, because they are not an actual insurance company (first I knew about it) they didn't even have the authority to communicate with the police! Said instead they needed to employ a private investigation company to contact local businesses to check their CCTV cameras to check I had actually driven the car to work that morning! My colleague, whose car got stolen in the same event, got her compensation payment within 3 weeks, during which time she was provided with a courtesy car ( she was with Sheila's Wheels), it took One Call over 8 weeks during which time I had no car to get to work! They were totally unsympathetic, just didn't care, as not being an actual insurance company they couldn't deal with the situation in a professional way. They ended up paying literally thousands under the market value of the car. You have to pay extra for any minor change on the policy so although they are cheap you can end up paying a lot more in the end. When I got a speeding ticket they charged me £175 for it and then later told me that the speeding ticket invalidated my policy, which meant my policy was now void 5 months before then renewal date, but refused to refund the money they had made me pay for an obsolete policy! Totally outraged, they should not be allowed to operate. DO NOT TAKE UP A POLICY WITH THEM! read more

Well to say this company are rubbish would be too polite! I have had nothing but problems with them....when i set it up all was fine, i did it over the phone and paid for fully comp as it worked out cheaper than third party. The person i spoke to told me it was best to have that due to the free breakdown cover it came with. So i signed up, then one day i broke down, i called them to be told that to get any breakdown service to me it would cost me £80! Never mentioned over the phone! Then i moved home so i called them to tell them....and to change my address cost me another £55! Considering its a matter of changing details on the computer i found it disgusting! Then i sold my car and the fun really began! I went online to cancel my insurance as i was told to OVER THE PHONE....a few days later i got an email telling me it could not be cancelled as i recieved my certificate by post......but i have never recieved anything through the post from them apart from a tax disc holder that cost me to collect it from the post office as no stamp was put on the envelope! I called them........9 times and everytime i was cut off by the operator! On the 10th time i eventually spoke to someone who managed to cancel the insurance...finally success........until i recieved a letter a few days later to say i would have to pay 25% of my premium for cancelling! I think from start to finish this company is a sham and i certainly would not recommend them to anyone! read more

These bozos pretend to give you free breakdown cover 'worth £39' to ensnare your custom but then you find you have to pay £20 every time you use it and you can only use it twice. Of course you think hey I know I'll upgrade to their 'gold' breakdown cover that is £59 but then find you have to pay £39 for that, rather than the £20 difference between the two levels of cover, so 2 months into my policy I've paid nearly £80 for breakdown cover, only to be gleefully told by the helpline guy that I can't use it for 14 days!!!! What??? This is taking the p1ss. Even the AA let you use the service 24 hours after purchase, not make you wait 2 weeks. So I've now paid for something I can't even use. Great. Note to one call insurance - if this is your idea as a business model for how to get repeat business you've failed miserably. Come renewal time I'm gone, even if you're still the cheapest. Also the website is pretty poor too. Repeated failed attempts to register so I can see my documents on some mystical portal, every time it says 'an error occurred', very helpful. And it says 'Registration is simple, all you need is your policy number' so you click Register and it asks you for everything EXCEPT your policy number! Comical. Anyway, steer clear, you've been warned. I'm just praying I never have to make a claim. Good luck if you're already with these numptys. read more

Avoid this company at all costs. They are a complete rip- off. I dread to think if I have to make a claim with this shower. This is legalised bloody theft. I had to provide details of driving licences which |I have never had to do before, why. They then farted out about sending me letters about my previous no claims bonus and threatened to cancel my insurance and then charge me for the privlige. I had a no fault accident claim 3 years ago, I gave details and they have now increased my premium by £88 plus their usual £55 bloody rip off admin fee. Legalised bloody theft. They took this from my bank account without even consulting me, cheeky gits. Beware it does not pay to get the cheapest because this shower are devious give you a cheap quote then wham look for ways to charge their thieving admin fee. I am going to write to the insurance ombudsman, this cannot be allowed to continue. I had one accident claim in 42years of driving, not my faullt. Very disappointing. I called for the third time to request that my policy be emailed to me as I wanted to check that the details were correct. I am very aware that it is my responsibility to ensure all names are spelt correctly and dates of birth etc are correct. If anything on the policy is incorrect then in the event of a claim the company can wriggle out of paying up. I spoke to Jade who tried to sell my extra Legal Protection rather than listen to my complaint regarding not having a policy to check. After I hung up the email arrived and - you've guessed it - my surname and my husnband's surname was spelt incorrectly. I assume that she must have realised this when on the phone as she could not find a policy for me at my address. I then had to call back to change the policy. The next person was more helpful and did amend the spelling and send a correctly spelt document to me. He also tried to sell me breakdown cover when I was telling him that I was concerned I would not be covered due to the spelling mistake. He assured me I would but if I reversed into a Porsche do you think they would pay out? Or perhaps say that it is my responsibility to check the policy that they failed to email me. Even if this company is considerably cheaper at next renewal I will not use them again. read more

I never write reviews like this but I've had such a bad experience with one call that I want to warn anyone thinking of using them to think long and hard! I found them on moneysupermarket.com and decided to swap from kwikfit insurance as they were around £5 a month cheaper. What a big mistake. I've had hassle from the beginning 7 months ago and cant wait for the 12 months to be up so I can leave them. They charge extortionate admin fees from everything from moving home, being out of work (for 1 week!) adding someone else to the policy. In the end it has ended up costing me more than twice as much as last years premium with kwik fit and im at the end of my tether with them. Today I've had a letter saying they have not received my NCB proof. Well I know for a fact that they have as I uploaded it onto their online system as requested 7 months ago. After a 20 min phonecall I've finally got it sorted out, no apology from them just an extra cost on my phonebill. Customer service does not exist in this company, I've seen some bad customer service over the years but this beats the rest hands down. read more

This company are the pits..............I was going to go with these as they were the cheapeat on comparrison......I got through after 20 mins and was delt with by someone called India.......She went through everything, Or well so i thought i was sent my documents via email. I thought it was strange they asked for photo copies of my driving licences, but went a head and faxed them.to em..........3 days later i get a call asking for them, again they said they had not received them, I was now getting suspicious.......This was one day before my policy was due to begin...........Anyway i sent them again...2 days later i received a recorded delivery from them saying my policy had been canceled beause i give false information.... So i was basically driving around uninsured and unaware.. I blame the person who delt with it, they refused to refund me any money, but were quick enough taking it......I would advise anyone NOt to use this company......I have also read ohers peoples reviews on different web sites who have had the same problems as me. read more

I spoke to a very polite and understanding gentleman by the name of Steven (SH4) and I was ready to cancel my car insurance after only a week due to a previous conversation that I had with another member of staff regarding a general enquiry. The first member of staff that I spoke to gave me incorrect information, was not polite or caring at all. After having a look on the internet for a better deal, I phoned One Call again and I was going to cancel the policy but straight from the beginning of my conversation with SH4 my concerns were explained clearly and all matters were resolved within 3 minutes. After speaking to SH4 I am more confident than ever that I made the correct choice in swapping the car insurance over from my previous insurer of 3 years and coming over to One Call. Steven, I would like to say thank you, it has been a pleasure talking to you today and I would gladly accept anybody with your understanding of the customers needs, really polite manner and professionalism within my organisation. Well done. Neil. read more

I really wish that I had seen this site before taking out my insurance with One Call. I have now cancelled my policy as the renewal was extortionate. Or at least I thought I had cancelled, One call have today informed me that my cancellation letter has gone missing for the 3rd time. I paid over £80 to get out of this policy and yet they have taken two payments from my bank account without my knowledge. I was certain that I had cancelled the direct debit but they informed me that they just charge payments to the debit card that you use for your initial payment. I am so angry, this is basically theft but One Call said its their standard practise. I have had to waste a whole afternoon trying to sort this out. I am going to send another cancellation letter tomorrow by registered/recorded delivery, but I am also writing to the FSA. These people are nothing but crooks, please say well clear and get your insurance from a reputable company. It might cost you an extra fiver a month but it is worth every single penny. read more

Firstly the name of this company, one call, is false advertising, I dread to think of the phone bills I've racked up listening to the blurb," we are experiencing very high call rates" etc. I should imagine most of the calls are like mine, trying desperately to communicate with someone. I took out insurance for my car with 1 call, then 5 days later changed my car and decided to cancel and go with another company, I eventually spoke to someone who assured me a cancellation form would be sent out that day, this was over a week ago and I still have not received the form. I have just been trying to get through on the phone for nearly 35 minutes I have tried the website, useless, and have come to the conclusion that this is the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with and that the only compensation is I will never have to make a claim through them. If they ever read their reviews I can categorically say that one star would be one too many. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE. I wouldn't even rate one star for these thieves. I have been with One Call for 2 years - I always paid for legal cover and when it comes to a slight bump at 1mph in stationary traffic, One Call Insurers (Commercial Legal) automatically paid the third party nearly £5000 in damages and recorded an at fault claim on my policy. There was no damage to either vehicle and no injury to either party. Commercial Legal informed me they paid the third party damages because it was easier than a court appearance. Where was my say??? I have this week cancelled my policy with One Call. Even if they offered the lowest price rate on comparison sites I will still go for the higher priced companies. I want good service for my money. BEWARE - THIS IS WHY YOU PAY EXTORTIONATE RATES IN MOTOR INSURANCE. I pray to see One Call go into liquidation - good riddance to bad service. James H. from Wigan, Lancashire. Don't touch this company. I took out home insurance mid August They sent no confirmation that I had taken a policy out with them so presuming it had not gone through I took out one with another company,I then got a confirmation the day the policy was due to start, 5th September . I immediatly called them to cancel but they slapped a massive cancellation fee on me for a policy I did not know existed and which in any case I cancelled the same day as it was taken out It's a scam. I wrote a letter of complaint but they have not even responded and continued to take the money. Beware of these thieves, also it is almost impossible to speak to anyone and when you do they just pass you around from one person to the next. I asked to speak to a manager, they kept me waiting for 30mins before the same advisor came back to me and said to put it in writing. Terrible experience throughout and I have lost £60.00 for no service whatsoever read more

MY SON SAID IF THERE REALLY IS A PROBLEM WITH ONECALL SOMEONE SHOULD TWITTER IT AND ALL WILL BECOME CLEAR ? No idea what I just wrote :0 but here is my experience. tried to Insure with them, but after inputting card details was asked to provide proof on no claims and my husbands driving license number, these are both at our spanish home so we left the page and tried to ring them the next day, unable to get through all day, had to insure with another company, they took the £309.05 from our card and when we asked for it back demanded proof of insurance with the other company which was sent 3 times and lost 3 times, we were told in the end we would receive a back dated refund, after six weeks phoning and emailing and contacting the ombudsman have been told if we dont want to wait any longer for the underwriters to respond they can refund just £228 of the £309 DO NOT PUT YOURSELVES THROUGH THIS ONECALL .FIFTY CALLS SO FAR read more

Imagine when you car seems to be on its last legs. Another year out the car would of been great, but i'm a believer that some things happen for a reason. So after some looking around, and weighing up all my options, should I take finance or a loan, spend a little more for something bigger or newer. I made my choice, there are fewer more exciting things than getting a new car. its something to look forward too, to be proud of your new car. so you can imagine my excitement, when I log into my insurance portal to update my details... and then be told I need to pay an additional insurance premium, in addition to an admin fee, to change my vehicle details, to a newer model of the same car. A £25 admin fee and £55 insurance premium. Forgot buying local like me, go to the big companies with there cheaper prices. And the rate of that, my insurance would have doubled for the year too. and you can't do nothing about it! read more

Do not use this company!! I took our a car insurance policy we'd 1 August 2011 and a few weeks ago received a letter from them to say they had been unable to verify my no claims with my previous insurance provider. I had already provided them with the renewal quote from my insurance broker which clearly stated the no claims period as well as the name of the insurer and previous policy number. so basically it took them 6 months to advise me although they had the information all the time. A few days ago I received a Cancellation Notice saying the policy would be cancelled in 7 days if I didn't provide the required information. Despite a phone call (took me ages to get through) and numerous e mails no one has had he courtesy to get back to me so I will have to take out alternative insurance. deal with this company at your peril. This is a classic example that cheap is not always best. read more

BE WARNED i found OneCall insurance on" Go Compare" their quote was great I went for it. I sent all my details, and all the proof they asked for. After 3 months Onecall wrote to tell me they had noted there had been an overlap on my old policy. Yea well, when I got rid of my old car it still had fourteen days insurance left on it! So when I picked up my new car and took out insurance on it. I was already in line for the £55 penalty they demanded in the next 7 days , pity they couldn't have noticed it when I gave them my old policy details. Now I have moved, and I phoned to give them my new address, £55 admin fee. LOOK OUT I have now paid an extra £110 on my policy in only ten months. They told me when I complained that I should have read the Terms & Conditions. BEWARE it is all hidden in there- what a lousy company. read more

Must admit waited 10 days for documents via email and decided to call, waited on phone for 15mins and started to have doubts about the what i had let myself in for and then Kate Sneddon answered the phone... she apologised for the mixup and produced and emailed me all the documentation straight away and insisted on staying on the phone until I had received and checked them. She then pointed out the paragraphs that were requesting proof of my no claims and license and then offered to attach these to my account herself if I cared to email them to her directly. Kate also suggested I contact her directly if I have any further issues or concerns. I know some people seem to have had negative experiences but I can honestly say thats the best Insurance Service I have used far better than the AA... read more
