Lisa is a fairy Godmother in my eyes. We are so lucky and blessed to have found her for our birth. In the start I had no idea what hypno birthing was. I called her one day nervous...her voice was strong yet sweet. She sounded so happy and extended her love out to us. Due to how our life was unfolding I was scared we wouldn't be able to afford a Doula of any kind. We talked and she assured me that this was possible. We talked more about my past birth. This would be my second. My first was a successful but traumatizing one. Hospital birth with scary fear tactics used on my husband and I. Filled with drugs and ended up in complications that had my husband and I scared for life. Or so we thought. Not only was Lisa our Doula she became almost like a therapist, she once again calmed us down and showed she understood what had happened. Using the hypno birth classes and methods we worked on erasing this horrible memory. It was working! My husband was a little unsure at first but she really put him to ease and even got him to open up about his feelings. We got past the last birth and started to work on positive thoughts with my new one! This birth was planned for a birth center and ALL NATURAL! Yes that's right, no drugs! I was scared but knew it was what we needed this time. She taught us everything we needed to know and somethings we didn't but just in case. She was always well prepared and real. Birth isn't always sweet. Sometimes you need a strong person to put their foot down and tell you in your face what needs or can be done. Someone to stand up for YOU and YOUR BABY! My birth center was also amazing and my midwives were fantastic one of a kind people. In the end we were all family! Friends! And true team working together to create this masterpiece of natural water birth. She was so perfect to add to this team. In the end we made it through the birth beautifully! She was there from start to finish and was an artist who had mastered her talent in being so much for us! She reminded me in my doubtful times that it was ok and to keep breathing. She held me in the intense uncomfortable times, she made me a snack and we danced and laughed. She let my body run the show and I am speechless as to how she handled me and my husband at the time of the big event. I really can't explain how amazing she is. Where do I begin?! I supposed I'll start by saying that if you're considering Lisa, go for it! You won't regret it! About Lisa: Let me just say that I'm a business owner and have very high expectations for customer experience, but Lisa was beyond what I could have asked for. She is kind, caring, dependable, knowledgeable, experienced, easy to work with, goes above and beyond, and so much more. I found her when searching for hypnobirthing classes late in my pregnancy after hiring my doula, and my doula had even heard good things about her which was a bonus! When I first reached out to her, she was so speedy to reply, answered all of my questions, hopped on the phone with me when I asked for a quick conversation, and went above and beyond to figure out a way to work with me in getting the hypnobirthing education I wanted, even though I was late in my pregnancy. About Hypnobirthing: I'll just be blunt and say I've been mortified of childbirth my whole life. I was so excited to learn that my husband and I were able to get pregnant and have a family together, but I was terrified of the process I had to go through to meet my precious son. Hypnobirthing completely shifted my fears into a calmness I never dreamed of having about birth. When I first heard of this class I thought it sounded so strange (I'm a very logical and scientific kind of person), but I eventually discovered it's based on the science of calming your nervous system and inhibiting specific pain releasing hormones that are triggered by your fight or flight reflexes.... FEAR! Learning about what your body is doing to prepare for birth over nine months and how it's designed to recover afterward, not to mention all of the tools you get for labor, was so helpful. We learned about anatomy, pain management, when to go to the hospital (if that's what your plan is), what to do in emergency situations, what is NOT an emergency and how to remain calm either way, how to write a birth plan that your hospital will actually work with, how your partner can support you, and so much more... pretty much everything you possibly need to know. I HIGHLY recommend working with Lisa for whichever service you're interested in, but if you can take her hypnobirthing class it will drastically change your mindset going into birth which will without a doubt give you and your baby a more positive experience! read more

Lisa is so amazing and I am very blessed she was my Doula. I was pregnant with my 3rd baby and knew I wanted a different birth experience. More natural and intimate like it should be. I found Lisa and the minute I met her I knew hypnobirthing and having her as my Doula was the way to go. She helped me work past my fears from previous birth experiences. She helped give me the confidence to know I was strong enough and very capable of having a natural birth with no interventions. My husband and I took private HypnoBirthing classes from Lisa and hired her as our doula. She is amazing at what she does. The most important thing to me was that my pregnancy and birth were as calm and peaceful as possible. I wasn't sure this could be achieved without pain relief. My husband and I toured a hospital and a birthing center to decide where we wanted to have our daughter. That was the day we met Lisa. I instantly liked her. She was sweet and funny and really put me at ease. Then she said that she taught HypnoBirthing and I knew it was meant to be! Lisa is an amazing person, I loved how she taught HypnoBirthing classes and how flexible she was. She helped us out in so many ways: by finding a midwife, educating us through the classes, etc., as well as just being a friend. I had a preterm labor scare and she said she would be there for me even though we didn't hire her as a doula. I also had a case of postpartum issues and she took time out of her day to come visit me and as well as send me links for additional help if I truly needed it. My husband and I enjoyed Lisa's Hypnobirthing class very much! Every week I noticed how much she loves what she does and truly cares about her moms. Hypnobirthing is not just for the birth but also the full term of pregnancy. Lisa started her business after being her daughter's birth companion through hypnobirthing. I was terrified of giving birth but after her reassurance I got this confidence in me like, "Yes! I can birth my baby!" and I did. Don't know how I would have made it through my birth without Lisa there! I'm so grateful for her dedication and presence. She was so tuned into me and my babies needs. I was really kind of paranoid about the whole labor and delivery process because...well...all the stories you normally hear have some sort of bad story associated with them, lots of pain, unexpected interventions, etc. I turned to Lisa for help understanding the labor and birth process and find ways to cope with the pain, learn about interventions and choices, and just overall how my body would work during the process. Her knowledge kept me calm through the pain, patient with the process, and my husband and I felt very prepared to handle any questions or suggestions presented to us by hospital staff. Lisa offered amazing support for both of my births. We took a full hypnobirthing course and then decided to hire her on as our doula. Everything she taught us prepared us for the birth of our first that ultimately ended in cesarian. It was still so wonderful and peaceful thanks to Lisa. She also provided placenta encapsulation and photography. For our second Lisa provided virtual support during COVID-19. We were able to use our knowledge from our original hypnobirthing course from Lisa and have a VBAC unmedicated hospital birth. I had an amazing and virtually painless labor and birth and I attribute that 100% to hypnobirthing and the classes we took from Lisa. We did the private classes and they were amazing.
