My best friend recommended One Source Talent because he got a several gigs as an extra on TV and movie projects as well as some print work and local commercial work. I looked into the company expecting to sign my life away for several years. But OST is not an agency so I am not bound and obligated to stick with them if it doesn't work out. So I figured I should just give it a try. Yes there is a sign up fee and a small monthly fee. I was informed about it upfront. Jessica made sure to explain the setup to me. My signup fee paid for the cost of hosting my profile, my comp card and my email address. They took some pictures of me which she said I could change at any time. She recommended professional pictures. But since I don't have the cash to splurge on them, she gave me some very helpful guidelines. Once my profile was setup and she showed me how to use it. Yes I have to look up castings for myself. But what a lot of people seem to not say or overlook is that they have a casting team in the corporate office who basically market you to clients. I got a bunch of emails from Angel in the corporate office that week. She asked if I was available for the movie Insurgent, for the show Single Ladies when it was filming, I even got called to attend some games shows. I am not famous yet, but I'm slowly getting my feet wet and getting there. I have done a student film where I got the supporting role. That was beyond fun. On top of that I get to go to some classes a couple times a month for acting and modeling. I try to attend all of them, free classes who can pass that up? OST does a good job and it is an equal effort. I have to do some work and they do theirs. If your apart of the biz you know that you can't sit on your hands and wait for things to happen. I have always wanted to be a model and actress since I was little. I contacted One Source Talent in Atlanta and auditioned with them and decided to join them in March 2014. I attended almost every Meet & Greet workshop that was offered to better prepare myself for an opportunity when it came along. The OST website has been a great help in building my resume, comp card, and finding and responding to auditions. Since joining OST I have been on 15 auditions that resulted in two movies and 5 fashion shows. The OST workshops have helped me to go on auditions with confidence and totally prepared for each opportunity. I was invited to an audition in November 2014 at the Atlanta OST office for the June 2015 Chicago Launch Expo and was selected to attend the event after my audition. I was 1 of only 250 people to be invited to this event Nationwide. In preparation for the Monologue and Dialogue showcases, I was able to get additional one on one coaching from Robert Putnam, the professional that taught the workshops at the OST Meet & Greets. I performed in 4 of the 8 showcases offered to the talent at the June 2015 Chicago Expo. Two of the showcases were for acting and two were for modeling for the camera and runway. I had the opportunity to perform in front of scouts representing approximately 150 top model and talent agencies. I met with 15 scouts, had 4 one on one second interviews with agents that wanted me to contract with them.
