I had my first appointment today after a long hiatus from acupuncture. I have anxiety and insomnia, both of which acupuncture has helped alleviate in the past. Lauren took a good amount of time going over my health history, asking all the questions necessary to pinpoint my exact needs. She inserted needles (which I personally can barely feel) and left me to relax with a buzzer just in case I had any issues. After the needles were removed, she gave me follow-up dietary guidelines and affixed ear seeds. A few hours later I feel relaxed and better energy wise than I have in some time. I don't generally write reviews but felt compelled to write one today for Dr. Lauren Bellows. I decided to try acupuncture for some lingering back pain / spasms and for plantar fasciitis of my left foot. I am not typically a believer in homeopathic treatments or alternative medicines however I do know that acupuncture works the world over. Dr. Lauren has helped tremendously. She takes the time to understand me as a patient and cares very much that I feel my very best. The treatments have helped. They are relaxing and calming. The foot problem is a stubborn ailment but Dr. Lauren is dogged in her treatment approach. I don't help too much as I refuse to give it a rest from my exercise routine. I am not the best patient! Even with my stubbornness the foot has shown improvement. I highly recommend Dr. Lauren and look forward to my own continued treatment under her care.
