Quite movie can hear everyone chewing. Okay for the price but it is beyond quiet. Other than that comfortable sweats good service.

Oneida Movieplex Hi there, hoping someone sees this. I took my three children, two stepchildren, plus their friends to see Minecraft last night (4/4). With tickets and snacks my bill was $177. Not even ten minutes into the movie, the "manager" forced two groups of young kids out of the theater - four of my group and another group, including a little girl celebrating her birthday. The reason? Grown-ass adults complaining that the children were talking and laughing too loudly and too much. Now just to be clear, these weren't parents with children. These were fully grown adults, throwing a hissy fit that children were acting like children IN A CHILDREN'S MOVIE. After they complained once of the children being children, and the manager only told them to quiet down, these same immature adults lied and told the manager the kids were throwing food. And thus, the manager threw out two groups of children based on lies by ADULTS. In the rush and confusion of handling a large group of children and trying to seat them, my husband dropped some of the tickets and we lost them. The manager refused to refund the tickets even though I had just charged $177 approximately ten minutes earlier. Not only did I have to drive a car full of crying children home, but in the rush of being thrown out to appease whining adults in a child's movie, two of my children left their Minecraft plush and swords behind. Your manager REFUSED to allow the kids back into the theater to retrieve their items. From my understanding, the other family called the police and the POLICE WERE REFUSED ENTRY to retrieve their items. So thank you, Oneida Movieplex, for ruining the evening for a group of children who had been looking forward to this for two weeks. I hope your "manager" slept well last night. And to the grown ass adults who complained and LIED about children, I will happily confront you to your face. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Next time, maybe be a damn adult. read more

Had to write a review after seeing the obnoxious reviews left for the Oneida Movieplex. Giving the THEATER one Star because no good movies come out anymore? Makes sense. The Oneida Movieplex is a great spot to catch a movie. It's been around a long time and their prices are very reasonable compared to other theaters in the area. On Tuesday nights they run specials and movies are even cheaper than normal. Within the last few months of this review, the theater has been renovating and putting in recliner style seating - huge improvement! There are less seats available but the trade off is well worth it! Concessions are pretty standard fare and overpriced but that's par for the course these days. My wife and I have brought our own water bottles in many times with no issues with management. Support your local small movie theaters and watch out for bad reviews! read more

Tickets for a matinee were reasonable, and concession prices were lower than accustomed to. The theater was neat clean, comfortable temperatture, and motorized reclining theatre seating with lots of leg room. Very nice experience. read more

Got kicked out because I had a cough that I can't control and the theater was dirty don't come here if you have a cough

This is a welcome alternative to Regal's Destiny USA theater. No crowds and easy access in Oneida, NY. Although it is located in the opposite direction to Regal, and despite the darkness, the drive was not as challenging from Manlius as 690 West. There were only two other people in the theater with relaxing reclining seats watching the second week of Banshees of Inish (paid Senior fee), despite it's dark comedic setting. read more

Oneida Glenwood Movieplex is small town movie theater. I have been going there for years with my friends. The seating was replaced a few years ago. It was a huge improvement to have the big vinyl recliner seats. The staff is very efficient and they keep the old bathroom and the theatre very clean. The prices are very affordable for everyone including families with kids. read more

Great mom and pop style theater that has first run movies. The price is right too and there's a good selection of snacks (although I did not participate). Other reviews mentioned the screens could use a refresh and I agree, but the quality of the projector was nice with a nice sharp picture. What I like best about this theater is that I walk away with my hearing at the end. Big city movie theaters are just way too loud. I've only been on a weekday so there was hardly any crowds and I had the theater practically to myself. The seats and walls looked a little grungy but hey, it seems like an older theater. read more

This isn't the best movie theater, but it a definitely not the worst one that I've been to. The lobby is clean, there are little arcade games, and several different options for snacks. Of course, like every other movie theater, the snack food is expensive, but the popcorn is very fresh. The screen isn't extravagant, the sound quality in the theater is sub-par, and it isn't the cleanest inside of the actual screening room. However, it is what it is. This was the go-to place when I was growing up in Oneida. Not a whole lot more to do there than go bowling or watch a movie. The sad thing is, the theater hasn't changed at all since I was a kid, and it needs a serious update. But, as a basic movie theater, it's fine. Just hope you don't end up seated in one of the smaller theaters. The screens are seriously tiny. You'd be better off at home watching your big screen tv. At least then you could watch your movie in your underpants. read more

I couldn't agree more with the previous reviewer! The screens in this place are so tiny! I made the mistake of going here about a year ago to watch the Last Airbender (worst movie ever) on the smallest screen ever. I didn't even feel like I was in a movie theater. It's way more worth it to drive to the Marquee in New Hartford for big screens and the real movie experience. This place is for middle schoolers and anyone who doesn't have a car yet! I grew up in this theater. It needs an update for sure and the manager says they are getting one but not for a couple of years. The owner has a bunch of theaters and is doing them one at a time. My problem is I went this week to see a movie and all we could hear through the whole thing was squeaky chairs. It was really annoying. I hope they can at least fix them so other people won't have to put up with it. Also they need to clean them more. It smelled really bad in there 2 weeks ago when I went. read more
