This is my second visit, we had so much fun. Our stay was booked in the tower for 3 nights- during a record breaking snowstorm! You would have never known there was an issue outside. Restaurants open, and with amazing quality food. If you like gambling, eating, and spa services- this is the place for you! Can't wait u til next year!!

Always an exceptional experience. Every level of this casino is exemplar for sure one of upstate New York's best keep secrets! Keep up the good work from the bars to the slot machines to the tables to the rooms. Oh, and also all the great food. Thank you!

We had a good time while here. when we walked into the room, we smelt fresh paint. I'm not sure if it was newly renovated or just touch-up paint, but the room was very nice. The bed was one of the most comfortable we've slept in. Gambling was fun although we didn't win and all the food choices were great. Didn't get to try any deserts, but maybe next time.

Christmas was still in the air.

Was there to play in the Turnjng Stone Classic 9 ball tournament. What an amazing casino! Amazing gambling area with great food at the Tavern and 7 kitchens. Will try the steak house and emerald next time I come for the tournament. Rooms were nice too. I'm also happy the next pool tournament is in the summer, I'll make a week out of it and golf! Course looks super nice.

    Cool elevator area.

I have an interesting relationship with Turning Stone Casino. This place was in my life on several occasions starting with when I first turned 18 and I reached the age of legal gambling in the New York State. Back at that time there were no casinos nearby so it worked well for several trips. Don't worry though. I'm not planning on writing up a place I haven't been to in 15 years. No this review is mostly based on a recent experience at Turning Stone back in late October (of this year!). Honestly, there's little reason for us/me to have been at TSC. Unlike the mid 2000's, today there's several nearby casinos that are all reachable in under an hour. So why trek to Turning Stone? Well a bachelor party weekend that encompasses both this northern New York casino and nearby Cooperstown (we're a bunch of baseball fans) was how we ended up in the area. I was curious though because of that huge time gap to see just how much Turning Stone had changed. A large chunk of this bachelor party group got to Turning Stone the night before myself so I heard all about how much the place had changed and had become nicer. I was intrigued to say the least. Truthfully, it's almost hard for me to write this review because I actually spent less than 24 hours in Turning Stone (we got there in the evening after a day in Cooperstown and left in the late morning the next day). My time there did show me some of what my friends were saying about the updates and changes, but not before I found myself walking in through the old building entrance. I had flashbacks to first coming here because it looked like nothing had changed. At first it really seemed like that and walking through the casino totally feels like that. The keno and poker room and little steps up to the next section of the casino all look the same. I can't guarantee these areas haven't gotten face lifts, but deja vu was definitely occurring as I walked through. Though with a little stroll towards other portions of Turning Stone, you'll find what looks like a mini version of something out of Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun. A few high-end-looking shops, a restaurant district, and a fancy new (yet not large) sports book makes up this area. Oh and the newer tower of rooms is also a nice addition which is where we stayed. I'll give a lot of credit to how contemporary, clean, and even slightly unique the hotel hallways and rooms felt. Having said that, at the end of the day Turning Stone still isn't anything super special. Sure it's got some great new additions to it and makes the whole place a little more lucrative, but there's not enough draw for anyone to visit who isn't from a nearby town without a lot of casino/gambling options. For me, I'll stick with the choices closer to me (Connecticut and New Jersey included). Overall though, I can't say Turning Stone isn't somewhat nice. It pales in comparison to most other casino spots and still feels so similar to what it was more than a decade ago, but the improvements and updates are nice enough to warrant four stars (a rounded up from 3 1/2), even if I don't expect to find myself back here anytime soon...or potentially ever again. It's been real, Turning Stone. Thanks for the new and old memories.

Always a great time here. You can come to gamble, see a concert, play some amazing golf, or get some great foods. I prefer the steakhouse. Expensive but well worth it. Come have a great time.

Casino is ok, but the hotel is gross. Every room is a smoking room and smells like an ash tray. Pretty ghetto spot in the middle of nowhere

Ask the Community - Turning Stone Resort Casinos

    Where is the arcade room?

They got rid of the kid's arcade area a few years ago, which was the only thing there besides swimming that kids could do there. They put in a men's clothing store full of garbage.

The studios that we stayed in were clean and spacious. Overall, the hotel and premises were very clean. The front desk folks were super friendly. Also, there was a daily complimentary hot breakfast served from 6:30 - 9:30 AM Mon-Fri and 7 - 10 AM on Sat-Sun. Some complimentary breakfasts tend to be quite sad, but NOT THIS ONE. For the hot foods there were scrambled eggs, omelettes, sausage links, bacon strips, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches (YES, you read that right) and French toast sticks. There was also quite a variety of pre-packaged cereal, yogurts, milk/chocolate milk, pre-packaged banana and blueberry muffins and juice. Honestly, this was probably one of the best complimentary hotel breakfasts I've had! If I had to create an ideal budget hotel with a complimentary breakfast, this hotel would be it. Definitely would stay here again in the future. (P.S. For you gamblers, the Turning Stone Resort Casino is literally across the street and they have shuttles daily from here!)

But once you step into the place, you are pleasantly surprised that this does not appear to be your typical La Quinta. They have a shuttle to the casino if you desire to lose money. The staff at night when we arrived were not overly friendly, but the staff in the morning more than made up for it. The continental breakfast and coffee we're halfway decent. The room was surprisingly quiet given the number of long-term construction workers staying here. As with other hotels with long-term construction work or staying there, there is way too much secondhand smoke as you walk into the building, as there is an area to the left of the entrance.

We had never stayed at a bed and breakfast and weren't sure what to expect. This place exceeded our expectations. The mansion itself is beautiful. Every time we walked around the house we discovered more treasures, everything from the molding to antique pieces. The property has a lovely view of the Erie Canal. Each morning there was coffee waiting or us outside our door on a beautifully arranged tray. Then we went down to breakfast. I hate to repeat myself but the table was also beautifully arranged. We tried several different dishes during our stay, each one delicious. Our host, John and Rebecca, were there for our every need, without being intrusive. After running around all day It was so relaxing to return to our room each night. We asked several relatives to stop by and see the place. Our Aunt was thrilled as she had driven by hundreds of times and never been inside. She was not disappointed. One extra point. They have a friendly dog named Riley who helped us forget how much we missed our own pets. We plan to return here each time we return to Syracuse.
