Applied online and it was pretty fast, I got an email I was approved and needed to upload all my documents. Uploaded everything except my car registration since I was at work, I get a call to discuss the application and see what my rate is and term. Linda asked me some questions regarding my job, finances, regular information. She puts me on hold then comes back and say at this time we're not able to offer you anything. She did not give me an explanation or elaborate the situation, she asked if I could get a co-signer? I'm just confused why I got multiple emails I was approved and uploaded documents for her to call me and say I'm denied with no explanation? Weird way to do business. read more

So I have so much to say about this branch I have no where to begin. From the moment I walked in it was a bad idea and I should've just walked right out. The most recent encounter was today, with a lady named Randy. They've called me all this week so far about some promo going on and I called back asking about it. I was told she wanted to run my credit and I told her no never mind due to it not being good right now, we ended the conversation and hung up. She called back, stating I was past due by two days and I needed to do something now about it. I said no that I'll pay you guys when I can and it's only two days late. She insisted I apply for another loan or set up a payment and talk to her manager to set it up. I told her no that it's fine that it's only been two days. Unkind, belittling and broaching on mean. I submitted all documents online as require and was asked to schedule an in-person appointment to sign the paperwork. Traveled 1- 1/2 hours, three hours roundtrip, only to be told I was not approved. Could you not have giving me a ring before I blew my whole day-off and a-half-a tank of gas getting to you. It was never unclear about how far away I lived - in the Sierra foothills. Gas is expensive. Am I a loan risk? I own my home - $276k I own my own car - $36k I have 14 years sales experience in the entertainment industry, landing the title of National Sales Manager for Lucasfilm selling video games. Yeah, the Star Warscompany. I have a $114k in 401k but if I touched it, I would be taxes at 40% I took a retirement job at a small mountain market that pays minimum wage and that was all that they saw and refused to look past. They treated me like garbage, enough to  actuallycause me duress. Retired, I'm still making $2k a month in that lovely foothills market, with little other expenses. I just needed a few grand boost to stay ahead and cover a new roof and a tree removal. Did they even ask or did they care? No. I was DENIED My credit score is crap because I had Covid medical bills and it was either my health or three month late payments on my Visa card - which is now current. Did anybody bother to look at my 855-credit score over the last 20+ years. No. My expenses are next to nothing, I work in a supermarket seven minutes from home. Little gas & food just the lights, internet, garbage and two cords of wood a year. I would rather borrow money from a loan shark then deal with these guys again. Luca Brasi from the Godfather had better customer service skills that Annabelle and her boss. You were both unprofessional and unkind. Stop reading me your corporate jargon bullet points. I went to this very friendly location and was greeted at the door by a very helpful team. The team worked fast and made sure I understood the loan in depth. They gave great credit advice and guidance for going forward. I walked out of this establishment happy with my decision and with friends I can count on. With a wide arrangement of insured options. All I needed was to make my payment two days later than due. They wouldn't accept that; they said they would refinance instead and that the refinance was approved. So I took time off work, spent 40 minutes driving to their office, after two confirming phone calls, only to be told it had fallen through at the last minute, after I got there. This, after I was told on the day before that it was approved . I really don't appreciate wasting my time. And as if this wasn't enough, after four phone calls and all the drive time, we ended up with the same agreement I had asked for in the beginning. I've been waiting in the office long enough to know I'm not the only one that happens to, either. Seems to be their modus operandi. Yes or no, just say it and don't lead me on trying to get a better deal for yourself. read more

When you initially get approved for your loan, everything is great. The staff is nice, friendly and works with you BEST on how they feel you should pay things off if you are consolidating. I like to be on the safe side and purchase unemployment insurance incase GOD forbid something happens. I purchased it and pay a little more EVERY month for that for the entire duration of my loan, including interest. That was my choice do so and I understand that. They make money off of you to purchase it well guess what? Yup after working for 22 years straight I was laid off. Now it's like it doesn't matter what happened to me they put it all on the insurance to handle the discrepancy. On top of it my insurance claim was handled differently because even though I was laid off I was paying it month to month on my own with what little money I had left because I did not want my credit to go bad. So since I did the responsible thing until my claim was open and approved they took care of it a little differently instead of month to month which i was told is how they NORMALLY handle it. So now when I ask why didn't take care of mine that way "i don't know" because they paid yours in a lump sum. That should not matter i paid MONTH to MONTH myself. So took the 6 months of statements I had and only paid a portion of April but others they take care of month to month. So really i got screwed for being responsible still taking care of it until my claim was approved and i got the short end. While others do not even make any effort to pay, take their money and run. it was after this I had to write a review because I do NOT want this to happen to anyone else. After looking at the reviews they are not so great. I would never give a bad review if i just did not get approved like some did but to be handled like this and not even let's see if we can this taken care of for you. Let's see if we can remove this for April since you were told by ONEMAIN you next payment will not be due until May. It should be handled for me I have already gone through enough and on top of it have great account with them. Their solution was a deferment ok let me pay for that by adding it to the END of my loan and get MORE interest. That is what lead me to do this - i don't want anyone to go through this. It just dropped their rating an entire star for their YELP. I was told I would be covered for upto 12 MONTHS of my payment (it's in my paperwork that I SIGNED) I was unemployed for 10 months because my unemployment only covered me for 6 months that is all that was covered. Ok fine it's better than nothing but now I get W2 forms for tax purposes as if was INCOME even though it was paid to ONEMAIN. I was called from ONEMAIN personally and told congratulations your claim was approved to be covered while you are unemployed and it was covered for 6 months and your next payment will not be until May. I find out a PARTIAL payment was made for April and i still owe the rest. When i ask why they just relay what the unemployment insurance says because they do NOT know why it works that way. Then want me to call them to find out. if you are going SELL SOMETHING learn all the ends and outs about it - because we will INQUIRE about it. If you are going to make MONEY on something I buy you better believe I expect you to have some knowledge on it and do the work on MY BEHALF. I don't know or i can connect them on the line is the not the answer or better yet i have had great history with you guys over the years write if off etc. do something don't put it on me when i was clearly told I do not owe until a payment until May. then the insurance company tells them well we dont pay monthly well that is HOW I make my payments so where you are getting your fancy number from to know how much to pay towards my loan. **************************BUYER BEWARE DO NOT PURCHASE INSURANCE UNLESS YOU GET ALL THE INFORMATION************** once it is sold to you they don't care how it affects your account! now i have to go through all my paperwork and find a statement that also matches what i was told that i do NOT owe a payment till MAY because APRIL was covered. read more

There is a star only because it does not let you give zero. I literally just got off the phone with them. So I got a loan for $7000 last summer some 10 months ago. Two months ago they lent me an additional $700 and had me rewrite the entire loan adding the $700. I was just laid off from work due to the coronavirus. I called to ask for relieve not for a forgiveness but just for time to suspend the payment in the upcoming weeks until this blows over and hopefully I get back to work. The lady tells me because its such a new account and I have only made two payments there is not much they can do other than refinancing it. I am like you got to be kidding me I have made almost a year of timely payments. She like but because we added the other $700 it is considered a new account. I am like well you guys are humans with brains and can see that it is not new and I assume not idiots to think this is a new account and can use common sense. Her excuse is she is new and in training. I am like that is to bad I am no longer going to be able to use you guys. The worst companies are those that only look out for themselves during crises like these. Absolutely terrible company. STAY AWAY FROM THEM read more

They are nice people, I mean not rude except one lady is pretty annoying and tries to threaten you. Aside from that this company screws people royally. Their intrest rates are ridiculous even if you have decent credit. I would never recommend this company to anyone I'd say go through a bank instead. read more
