I started learning Trading with no knowledge whatsoever. I trusted that it was the right thing to do and just went for it. I didn't really know whether I was throwing money off the window but the first impression OTA gave me was very good. Then I started learning following their course. I had very little time as I was working full time, 12 hours a day but still finding spare time to study a bit. What motivated me right from the beginning was the awareness of having put myself in the hands of the right people. The courses are really well structured between the onsite class and online classes as well. OTA teachers are very well prepared and explain things very clearly. Once I started classes I understood that the teachers knew really well what they were talking about and they were following a very well planned method and sillabus. At the beginning all the concepts were a bit difficult to grusp and understand but with time everything came together and I started feeling progressing through the course. I have now left my last full time job as it was worning me off and I am studying full-time. My plans are in a few months to start trading live. I have a lot to learn still but I am in a confortable position now compared with my Trading skills I started with. My learning curve is up and that's what counts. Mind you, what I think is the key to success attending OTA course is to follow their teaching really meticulously and work hard. I have been around the trading / financial world for several years. Having taken several courses to date with Online Trading Academy in London, I can safely and very confidently advise anyone that is looking to learn more about the trading / financial industry whether part time or full time, then OTA is the only training centre to begin or even continue your education with. The instructor's knowledge is superlative, yes they are instructors, but they all trade their own significant accounts, they walk the walk, rather than just talking the talk unlike some other UK education establishments. The material they deliver is clear, concise and easy to follow, and in my opinion this is key! I have been with OTA for 6 years now and have learnt an incredible amount about all aspects of the financial markets during that time from the most dedicated, knowledgeable instructors you can hope to find, all of whom are active traders themselves. When you join OTA you become part of a family, and will get as much support and encouragement as you need provided you are pro-active and ask. You can retake courses, listen to on-line instructor led sessions at a time that suits you, and get email support for any topic you need help with. Everybody has different personalities, time constraints and income requirements and you will be encouraged to develop a style which suits you. The skills learnt can be used for day trading, swing trading and longer term investing. The UK centre is run by extremely motivated, helpful staff. They organise regular Grad Club meetings in London and St Albans at which you can learn from instructors and other students about topics which may be new to you, ask questions, meet other students and generally advance your knowledge. However, be aware that OTA does not provide an instant 'get rich quick' scheme - you will be learning new skills and, as with anything worthwhile in life, you will need to invest considerable time, dedication and perseverance to reach your goals. read more

I've just completed my 3 day Futures Accelerator class with Don Dawson which came at just the right time in my trader journey, just over 4 months after my basic Futures course (with Sam Evans) interrupted by a 4 week holiday (with no trading) to Australia in between. I'd already completed the Core and FX classes with Louise Carr earlier last year at their classrooms in St Albans. All attendees at this Accelerator course had put in the hard work which was obvious from the the nature of the questions raised. Don Dawson's depth of knowledge was impressive, as was his teaching style which tended towards exemplifying real world chart examples rather than a 'perfect set-up example' image in a book. Don joins the pantheon of positively mad* international OTA instructors I've experienced alongside Louise Carr, Sam Evans and Steve Moses (Options) for my trading education here in the UK. Most importantly, Don helped reconnect me to (my forgotten) good trading habits that so easily start slipping away when you trade alone.
