Basically was like um yea it just has spices in it. Spices may not be gluten free and could be of concern for a celiac. I asked him if any drinks were gluten free and he said all but 2. I wasn't confident that the drinks would be made separately from the non- gluten drinks so I opted not to get one. My friend got the bees knees and said it was really tasty. The server did come back and switch my water to regular at the end but he should have been upfront with what he gave to prevent any exposure to peoples allergies.

The space is really cool, with some neat lit-up signs behind the bar and antique paintings on the ceiling. I tried a few cocktails and they were all tasty. These included the Flying Dutchmen -- their signature cocktail -- and the Umami Margarita. I was a bit hesitant about the Dutchmen because it was with gin and orange, but I liked it a lot. The margarita was unusual with some mushroom dust on the rim. Our server was very friendly and helpful.

The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. While the burgers were the stars of the meal, my salad was a pleasant surprise--light, refreshing, and the perfect complement to a hearty burger. Carlota who answered the doorbell, was able to accommodate us at the bar (our preferred seating anyway). She took our coats, placed them in the coat closet up front and led us inside. Once seated, we were given gorgeous ruby red complimentary aperitif (hibiscus, honey, ginger). The drink menu is interesting, based on the concept of growing up, with more basic tastes to start and more mature complex tastes later on in life. (The drinks are more complex the later in the menu). I ordered the Awake at Last, and my husband ordered the Ruby Stone. Mine was sweet and coffee flavored and his was more tart and sour cherry flavored. When I tried his drink, I immediately felt nostalgic because it reminded me of umeboshi (pickled plum in Japanese food), so we ended up trading drinks. Both were great for supping. Sitting at the bar was fun, watching the bartender at his work. He was silent, focused, skilled, professional. So glad we checked it out! The front of the bar was the bar itself with a larger area in the rear that had a pool table and a few dart boards. The jukebox was playing some Rolling Stones one moment and then Florence + The Machine the next, but that's the kind of crowd that was present that night. This place was definitely a locals bar, but they were very welcoming to us. The bartender was an older, gruff lady, but she possessed a certain charm that we found delightful (she even gave me the wifi password). Don't expect any microbrews at this place, but the beers are ridiculously cheap and ice cold. Just make sure you bring some money for the juke box.

Wouldn't mind coming back for the burgers and will accept that the beers are not as I would like them.

It's a nice spot to stop for a beer after a long day of walking and sightseeing, and I could see this as a nice spot to meet with friends after work if you're from the area.

It seemed like they were also very knowledgeable about beer so if you're not sure, you can consult with them to get recommendations. The beer was great and there were a lot of options. The location is near the park and also near a tram stop if you want to take public transport after your beers (or beer tour, in my case). I hope to do the beer tour again when I'm in Amsterdam and therefore come back to Craft & Draft.

I got a lovely IPA recommended to me and really enjoyed it. It's quite far out the centre, but that's actually a good thing and it's worth the walk. If you like craft beer and find yourself in Amsterdam you should make the effort to visit craft & draft.
