This is a review for LIVE online course including my reviews for all instructors and Blue Print…read more(BP) LSAT staffs. Before I signed up: Early in January this year, I emailed BP if they offered student discount. They did but you had to go to their on campus event, which I did. And I emailed them asking if I was eligible to receive discount. The team member Krysta replied me and asked my name so she could verify my name on their sign-in sheet. She couldn't find my name (don't know why but I did) so she rejected to give me a discount code. Didn't really feel she's helpful. One month later, when I almost wanted to sign up another prep course company, I received their email about promotion code for signing up their course. I used the code but there's a bug on my account and I couldn't see the course showed on the home page. The other team members, who were really friendly and responded to my question fast. During the prep course months, they are very open to my feedback. BTW, I personally really like the recorded online course as secondary study materials. They just need to have someone really proofread and double check the courses, small errors like bugs in the videos, typos, notes doesn't match the instructor's words, suggestions on improvement for the courses. For the live online course: you have access to two live courses, recorded courses, homework (with video explanations), and office hours, which are host by different instructors (I found my favorite instructors there! love their office hours) I don't feel there are much different than in person class. I can enjoy eating my dinner with my pajama while taking the class. I can come back and rewatch the live recorded courses if I have any questions on certain topics. The instructors I have Jelena Woehr as my instructor. She's nice. However, I found that her voice is tooooo sofffttt that almost makes me want to fall asleep every time I take her class. She doesn't have many notes from herself like other instructors (will talk about it later) I didn't really learn much from her, because mostly she goes over the book. Missed 3 or 4? out of 12 courses (replaced by Dylan, who I found is the best! ). For other instructors, my reviews for them are based on office hours mostly. I love office hours and I think it will be a great if BP can open some free office hours for people who want to sign up the course and find the instructor they like. Jelena's course time was the best that can work for my schedule when I signed up, and I had no clue which instructor is better for live online course. If I knew whose class I wanted to take, I would sign up for the instructor's courses that I was sure to take. - Instructor Dylan Gadek: 5 stars! he sub for Jelena 3 courses and I found that he has great knowledge of what he's teaching. Funny guy. his class is very structure. has lots of his own notes and methods. you clearly know what you expected to learn from each of his class. I am still taking ALL his office hours. He's been teaching LSAT for years, and he used to teach MCAT. I found that LR & RC are his strongest part of teaching. - Instructor Chris Whyte: 5 Stars. He and Dylan are the top 1 instructor at BP from my opinion. He's really good at LG and RC. really knows what he's talking about and well prepared for every office hours. - Instructor Kyle: hmmmm..... I took his office hours for digital LSAT 101 topic. I am not sure if he's not prepared or what, the whole video, he seemed like really don't know what happened. 90% of time he said: hmmm.. but.. yea..." and he said "I don't what I am talking about lol " I had to use 1.5 x SPEED to listen his whole video. In the video he seemed like he's just reading the scripts? not really well prepared for this office hours. If I watch this video before signing up the course, I would not choose him as my instructor because I really don't want to spend money on instructors who are not prepared for the course. OMG, I wrote too much.. I need to take a break. The class is almost over, but I will still do their monthly subscription, just for their office hours. I will come back and updates the rest of the other instructors and this live online course reveiw. He got back to me quickly and was extremely accommodating. Plus, his rate is phenomenal. (Psst: it's a steal for a tutor of Vik's quality) He scheduled multiple appointments with me, and was even able to change a few to in-person when I requested that. I recommend having at least your first couple sessions in person so that he can see how you approach problems and better diagnose where you're going wrong. My biggest regret is not working with him sooner. He has a straightforward, easy approach. Regardless, he quickly saw areas I could improve, and helped me see a 10 point boost in my practice tests with only about 5 sessions. Of course, I did implement his recommendation of daily study time. Thanks Vik - can't wait to report back my November score!

Wow is all i can say! Hovik (the main instructor) helped me so much!…read more I reached out to Breakthrough lsat prep a few months ago and signed up for 1 training session. My practice score at the time was 156 and I know that's good but not good enough for UCLA and USC. After my one session I immediately signed up for 3 a week which has been perfect for me. Since then my practice scores have gone up into the 165s. Hovik is super helpful and a really clear communicator. After getting to know him I found out that he has taught in college as well.. I really recommend him to anyone that has bad scores or even good scores trying to take their score up a notch. (He took the LSAT once and got a 179!!) trust me you will be in good hands haha

John Holtz is well known and respected in the bar prep industry for his excellent seminars on the Performance Test section of the CA bar exam. I took the CA bar exam and passed on my third attempt, much like many well-respected attorneys and politicians in California. Had it not been for John's seminar on PT's, I don't know that I could have ever passed the bar exam. I also took the Fleming's course taught by Sue Sneidmiller, wife of Jeff Flemings, for my first bar attempt. I do NOT recommend taking their course as it taught me less about how to outline and organize my answer, made less sense to me, cost me more, and I walked away with less study material than John's Advanced Performance Seminars. Mr. Holtz offers a far better value for the money. John also offers a special no-pass, no-pay type system, but I was not eligible since I took John's three day course for the first time as a repeater. Even still, the course fee was less than Flemings, offered more substance, and gave me what I needed to eventually pass the CA bar exam. I appreciated the fact that John discounted his fee by $25 if you brought a fellow student with you to class, which saved us money and shared the wealth of knowledge amongst my peers. I learned of John's seminars only days before my first bar attempt, so I was able to attend only John's one day seminar, which was tantamount to drinking from a fire hose! Nonetheless, I was able to at least come close (only 4 raw points away from passing) on my first bar attempt. Without John's one day course, that would not have been possible to even get close. John's website is www.performancetest.net. Don't hesitate to call for up-to-date class meeting schedules as he sets his schedules according to the BarBri schedules in CA to be the most accommodating as possible. Consequently, there might be more classes offered than is reflected on his website. Technology isn't John's focus, but my passing the bar is. I guess I can accept that as a fair trade. ;-) I count John as my PT savior. I have complete and total faith in his methods and owe my success on the PT portion of this bar exam to John and John alone. John once spent two hours with me after I got my first bar exams back for review. I was crushed to get so close and yet no cigar. My study buddy passed and I was now all alone. Law school was over and my support system was gone... totally absent. John spent those two hours with me that night after teaching all day and before driving home 8 long hours through the night to care for his special needs children by the next morning. Because he spent that time with me, John gave up dinner and any hopes of sleep that night in order to be there for me when I needed him. You think I'm a strong supporter of Mr. Holtz? You damned right I am! I owe my success to John, who totally rocks in my book! I will be eternally grateful and appreciative to John for my passing the CA bar exam. I wholeheartedly endorse John's course and hope you'll enjoy the same overwhelming excitement when it's your turn to see your name on that congratulatory letter from the State Bar. There's nothing else like it in the world. John, I thank you with my entire being and that little thing we call a bar card!
