Also their meal plan is great. We are very fortunate to have our son there. We looked at around 10 different places and it gave us anxiety because we really wanted our son to be at Lulus which was much much better than all the other places we saw all over San Diego.

The teachers are incredibly loving and thoughtful. I especially love the fact that they celebrate birthdays and holidays and create opportunities for parents to get to know each other, too. My child has grown by leaps and bounds, and his interactions with the other children are fun to see. The fact that meals are provided (bfast, lunch and snacks) is a godsend. Several daycares/preschools in the region claim to be Spanish immersion but aren't actually (e.g., they speak English to the kiddos). At Lulus, I feel like we get a truly authentic Spanish immersion program for our son, knowing instruction is exclusively in Spanish. And it shows. My son 100% understands Spanish when it is spoken to him and he mixes Spanish and English in his vocabulary regularly. I credit Lulus for a large part of that bilingual ability and look forward to seeing his fluency improve in the years to come. Highly recommend Lulus!!

Sagebrush's Director, Ms. Porter, is a truly collaborative, authentic partner to families. Her deep understanding of children allows her to meet each individual child where they are, and she does so with empathy, positivity, and expertise. Ms. Porter acknowledges what parents know about their child, asks insightful questions, and brings together a caring, solution-oriented team. Everyone rallied to support my child's separation anxiety and proactively developed a responsive, flexible plan. And, just as importantly, Ms. Porter is fun, joyful, and absolutely adored by my child! It felt like magic walking around campus and hearing teachers and students from other classrooms exclaim my child's name, even during the first week of school! She has truly blossomed socially and emotionally at Sagebrush Children's Center. The learning experiences and engaging activities they provide have also supported her development and readiness for kindergarten. We are hopeful that our youngest will have the opportunity to attend Sagebrush as well. Our experience there has been nothing short of wonderful.

Kids Ave is truly a special place. All of the teachers are incredible with the kids. Each kid is nurtured in a personalized manner. The classrooms are beautiful and Kids Ave is always so clean and beautifully decorated. The teachers put in so much effort to each student, to the crafts/projects/learning, and to their classrooms. The outside space has room to run and an awesome sandbox! And, the kids are served great food every day (all of which is included)! Our son was SUPER prepared to start TK. He is confident and excited, plays well with others, follows instructions, can write his name, knows all of his letters/sounds, all thanks to Ms. Karla and the other teachers at Kids Ave. Also, while Kids Ave is a center but it's not a corporate center, which makes a difference. They have that personalized touch and are willing to work with each family. Elisa and Susu are doing a great job running Kids Ave...and loving on all the kids! Finally, we've loved Kids Ave from the start, but we didn't really have anything to compare it to. However, our daughter is currently at a different daycare center. And that center is just fine. She's cared for and safe and all that good stuff....but it's just NOT Kids Ave. We're excited for her to turn 18mo so that she too can go to Kids Ave too!

My Daughter attended Tender Care from the time she was 15 months in 2015 until she left for Transitional Kindergarten in the fall of 2018. Our youngest son started when he was 14 months old and we are happy to stay with Tender Care until he moves onto Kindergarten at age 5. While in Judy's care, not only did my daughter learned everything from her ABC's, numbers, letter and number recognition to shapes, music, art appreciation, and dance. But, she also learned valuable life enhancement skills such as sharing, curiosity, communication, patience, and love. Another positive practice at Tender Care is their attentive lifestyle of zero waste, and reducing their carbon-footprint. This is such an integral part of daily life at Tender Care that it becomes second nature for the children to embody this approach in everyday living. I believe that Tender Care creates an environment where children have the freedom to explore and have fun as well as develop wonderful relationships with learning. The love and patience provided by Judy, Randy and Ana make us realize how lucky we are to have found a place we can always call our home away from home. You will not find care like this anywhere else. I'd highly recommend Tender Care Eco Friendly Pre-school & Child Care; you're guaranteed to receive the same type of care you would give your child.

My daughter went there for the past three years, and the experience was great. Every class was fun, engaging, exploratory, and my child looked forward to going every day. The school was good with communication, they have cute performances for families throughout the year, and you can tell all the teachers are genuinely invested in the kids. What amazed me the most is that every single teacher at that school knew my kid's name. Every single one. It feels like such a safe and loving community. The director has been there for close to 30 years, and she's great. Straightforward, no nonsense, and kind, and loving to the kids. They spend a lot of time outdoors and have a very play-focused curriculum. The families are warm and friendly. We were genuinely sad to go. I picked this preschool in part because of the excellent reviews, and I wanted to contribute to that. During normal times, they had school performances in the spring and early December that they rehearse for. We moved to Santee and since I work from home, going to this school became a hardship. We were sad to leave but my daughter will always have great memories of this place.

Lots of sweet energetic women, older granny types, and everything in between.
