I took my teenage daughter here for an eye examination. My teen was worried because her sight has been deteriorating. The optometrist freaked her out so much more. The whole time she was examining my daughter the optometrist kept muttering quite loudly "oh, this is bad, this is bad" - probably about 30 times. The last thing anyone needs to hear when they are being examined! There was no reassurance or positivity from the optometrist at all. The optometrist also told my daughter she should never use ipads or mobile phones because they ruin eye sight. In the end the prescription wasn't too much different from her previous one. We will never be going back there. read more

Straight out, winter is really not the best time to be visiting this place. In fact, winter is…read moreprobably not the best time to be visiting Ballarat, particularly since it happens to be very high on the incredibly cold scale. Still, this park that happens to run right down the middle of the main street (at least as far as the mall), really adds a lot to this rather interesting city. In fact, you will find quite a few interesting things along here. I would say it is well worth checking out, except that if you happen to be in Ballarat, you'll probably encounter it anyway.
