If I was able to give this store -5 I would! The service a terrible! The sales employee (a young…read moreman) was nice. But the owner and her crazy old mother were so rude for no reason! I have asked if the sales person can take a picture of me wearing the glasses so I can ask my Best friend's opinion about the 600euro glasses. The owner said No, No pictures in my store, so I asked if I can FaceTime with my girlfriend just to show her the glasses and she said NO also. So I went outside and call my GF and came back In after 5 minutes, Then their crazy old mother of the owner told me to get the hell out of here when I came back to actually buy the glasses. But she didn't know bc she wouldn't let me talk as soon as I came in she was like in French "we are done here, get out of here" I don't expect much from the Parisian In term of manners or politeness but this was the worst experience I have ever had! I only asked politely to have the a picture of me wearing the glasses or FaceTime with my friend and show her the glasses. They are 600 euro glasses and the return policy is shit and i don't live In Europe, so I didn't understand why she would act that way! Keep in mind I was at the store for not more than 15 minutes and only tried 3-4 sun glasses and I liked one and only wanted a picture with the one glasses! So if you like to spend money and get yelled at by an old lady and the owner than this is the right place for you lol If you are normal and think this is crazy then stay AWAY from this store! FYI the employee was very nice! I feel bad for him working for that WITCH !!
Accueil chaleureux! Un moment privilégié!

Two very sweet ladies fixed our sons glasses at no charge and I don't even think they understood us (we only speak English). If I'm Paris we will visit again and purchase designer glasses and/or fine them business. Thank You!

I went in today hoping to look at and maybe purchase a pair or two of new French made eyeglass frames. The owner and his wife were super friendly and showed me a few styles of frames. They told me that the pairs I was looking at were handmade in their basement and one of a kind designs that the wife, Claudine designed and the husband, Jack made. He then offered me a special discount if I purchased more than one pair. At the end, I paid $700 Euro for 2 pair (see attached pics). Before leaving, they had asked me to write a review of my great experience and had me scan a QR code to write a review, which I did. After writing the review, I read some of the other reviews and noticed one person said he had been lied to by this shop when they told him they had hand made his frame as well. That prompted me to look closer at my purchases, all to find out neither of mine were hand made and were in fact a brand from Italy and another from somewhere else in France. Additionally, the pair I paid over 300 Euro for, were available by the real manufacturer, Unseen Eyewear, for 159,00 euro. This was such as shame as had they just been honest, I probably would have still purchased them, or at least one of them. Instead, they are dishonest and left me with the need to share my experience with other potential customers. Buyer beware!!

We each purchased two pairs of amazing eyeglasses that you will not find anywhere else. All the frames are handmade in Italy and Jacques keeps a detailed record of your purchases. There are well over a hundred drawers filled with frames, and Jacques knows what's inside of each of them and can help you pick the frame that is right for you. He can also fill your prescription in 24-36 hours so bring it along. Yes, the frames are pricey but well worth it and Jacques is a sweetheart! So personable! Highly recommend a stop at this little gem in the heart of the St. Germain while on your trip to Paris!
Another pair of supposed hand made frames.

Not only did the optician call my health insurance firm to get a quote (something they had refused to give me and said I needed to send them a paperwork by mail in order to get one), she dealt with all the papers and made sure I had as little to do as possible. My glasses were ready the next day, as well as my lenses and they offered to cash my cheque after I have been reimbursed by health insurance so I'm not out of pocket. What's more, the selection of frames and sunglasses is so chic and classic making the normally painful finding the perfect frames an easy task. And last but not least, it's called Optique et Chocolat for a reason: you leave with piles of chocolate in your hand.

Michael Fratty and his team at Espace Optique came through for me like champions! The lenses he ground for me are, without doubt, the best plastic lenses I have ever experienced. I am very picky about eyeglasses, and have long preferred glass because the plastic lenses I get in North America have always been optically lousy. But these are terrific; easily as good as the glass lenses I've had. The glasses were made and assembled with excellent craftsmanship and I am extremely pleased--to the degree I will seriously consider sending for future glasses from Espace Optique even if I'm not in Europe at the time I need them.
