The underlying sort of fashion sensibility here is a very German one, in that Germans (the young adult women in particular) dress insanely adorably, and that is captured in the types of things sold here. While it was easy for me to not buy anything in here, that is because I positioned myself in one spot and flipped through a book, while my friend perused the store and ultimately ended up buying a new dress. Had I walked around, I am almost certain something would have sucked me in. Definitely a cute place though, and I cannot say that if I venture near here again, that I will escape without any purchases...

Escorted by our same sales person to the women's side and there was the elephant card holder I'd been seeking Tax free, packaged up in a lovely box and decorative bag The store was super busy but we were given full attention and service which is saying something since I was fresh off the plane from SF and my attire totally reflected that. I won't speak on the cleanliness or the selection; I only speak on the way we were treated. When I arrived on July 6 at 5 Pm with my children and my niece we were promptly greeted by a tall blond white woman. She seemed nice at first but then almost immediately she profiled. She looked at the security guard and then looked back as us as to give him a signal to watch us. She asked what we were looking for and I told her a purse and some parfum. As I told her I wanted to browse while my teenage children wanted to browse also, she proceeded to corral us like we were cattle. She prevented me from going to the second floor while my children stayed on the first floor. She told me that she wanted all of us to stay together as a group. I said "you want me to stay together as a group?" and she replied yes. I knew she felt like we were going to steal something and at that moment I knew I wasn't going to spend any money at Dior. I immediately walked out after being insulted and racially profiled by her and she smiled as I left as to insinuate that she was happy that we were leaving. I normally don't do this but in this case, if you are a person of color then I recommend that you skip this location because there is a good chance you will be profiled and not be allowed to shop freely.

The reason for my rating is I'd been searching for ages to find a men's zip wallet large enough to hold all my stuff. Karstadt had not just one, by many to choose from - in all the colors. I ended up buying a 100% leather saddle tan one, made in Germany by the well-respected brand, Picard. A couple of my colleagues also found what they'd been after. A really nice pair of men's Ralf Lauren sunglasses and a men's German-made black leather messenger bag. I wouldn't say the prices were great, but if you're looking for that one thing you've been searching for, it's reasonable and they seem well stocked. Staff however were slower than molasses in January, but once purchased with items in hand, we couldn't have been happier.
