This is a dirty filthy place . The staff is the worse I have ever seen. My sister was the 1 1/2…read moreweeks and she died . The staff said she was not helping herself, told us she was not trying . She was not cleaned and wore dirty pajamas for the whole time she was there. She couldn't breath and her oxygen was not even on her face. She was near death and the idiots told us she was much better I guess not that afternoon she died. This was all under our watchful eye. Can't imagine how bad the treatment is if you don't stay with your family.

No stars. In my opinion Mission Point has no business saying they are a hospice. No communication…read morewith family members from day one unless complaints were made. No compassion for patient or family. Any questions answered with lectures to family. Promises never followed through. No aid for end of life patients unable to help themselves. Patient fell out of bed trying to open blinds for window visit. No one around. No one answered phone. Friends telling me how wonderful hospice was for them. Nightmare for me at Mission Point, Clinton Township. When I took my loved one home, I immediately received phone call from director saying that she was blindsided by patient leaving and I received another lecture. Very compassionate to call family about this. Not. I was blindsided the entire time my loved one was there. Before bringing patient home, patient was finally moved to a room where visitation was two hours a day (instead of 1/2 hour per day scheduled) if you knocked on locked door and someone inside just might see you to let you in. Traumatized every day wondering if someone would be there to let me in. If no one was there, you were to stand at locked door and call Mission Point to let you in, however no one answers the phone. So after patient got into this room, nurse said how much trouble they went through to do move the patient to new room and a thank you from me was in order. Another very compassionate nurse response. After that, I moved to bring patient home. Terrible experience at such a sad and traumatic time. Totally blindsided by Mission Point.

Lived here before and moving back in. Although no place like this can be great, this place tries…read moreits best. Owner and staff are professional and easy to talk to. Only major problem is it has just one (small) working elevator. It has a second elevator but it has not worked in at least the last 7 years when I first moved in. Hired additional staff is fine, basically everything is done in a piecemeal way (i.e. you pay more if you need med checks, welfare checks, etc). They only provide two meals a day which is beyond adequate for some, but for diabetics such as myself it can be troublesome (Dinner at 4 PM) but each unit comes with a fully equipped kitchen.

I wish there was an option for no stars. This place is HORRIBLE. It's one of those places that…read moreshould be on the news. You walk the halls and people look miserable. I walk in today and my Granddaddy's basic needs have not been met. I come in at 2:20 PM and basic needs that should have occurred when he woke up have not been done. We had to go to management and make them do it. Now he isn't feeling well. They place his food out of reach daily. Lucky a new person is here and gives him his food from hours ago. People may be low income here-some are and some are not-but everyone deserves their human dignity. Many here fought in our wars. Where is there respect. Many are not lucky like my GD. We are taking him home. The State of Michigan needs to keep a closer eye on our elderly. Other countries don't treat their elderly like this. They love and respect them. Spread the word!
