Although most of the staff is POC, primarily Latino and East Asian, they're not exempt from medical bias. They could care less about getting your basic personal information right, let alone addressing your health conditions and health concerns. I say this because medical bias is the reason Black and other marginalized communities do not get the care they need when they need it. The check-in system needs to be changed. This location's patient demographic is mostly elderly people. There's no waiting room, so the line easily runs out the door. And since elderly people need more time at check-in, you could be an hour early and still be late. And if you're late, even if it's not your fault, they won't accept you so you'll have to reschedule. The employees at check-in need to find a different career. The lady typed in my DOB incorrectly. Assuming I don't know Spanish, when her co-worker told her she was typing in my information wrong, the lady said she doesn't care in Spanish. Even when I gave her the information again, she never corrected it. The nurses and doctors should also find a new career. They made it very obvious they do not like to be questioned, and never corrected. If you are a patient, remember these doctors and nurses do NOT know you. If they're not doing anything other than looking at your face, they're not doing they're job. They will take their check and go to bed not thinking about you at all. Meanwhile you will be dealing with health issues they refused to provide any help or care for. When I tried to discuss my health concerns and medical records, the doctor and nurse displayed a lack of interest and concern in what I was telling them. They instead printed out a google result with a general explanation about a health condition they have done no NO TESTS OR EXAMS to confirm I even have. These are doctors and nurses by the way. One doctor kept asking me if I was eating a certain food, which I told her over and over again no and her answer? "Are you sure?" She wanted me to say yes so she wouldn't waste paper after working so hard to print out a googled article. I will not be surprised if people's health conditions worsened because of the incompetent and apathetic staff at this location. Please do not go to Optum. My friend and I arrived at 1:45pm on December 22nd, 2025 for a 2:30pm appointment. From the arrangement on parking, to checking in with Gabriella (who was extremely empathetic towards my elderly friend, conversational and efficient) and seeing the doctor things must have greatly improved from the reviews we have read. We didn't wait long. We were greeted by Genesis a little after the after the start time of the appointment. She made us feel at ease. She was very efficient and welcoming. She led us the exam room instructed my friend on what to do to prepare to be seen by Dr. N. Blumofe. The doctor was exactly the type we wish we had more of. Professional, Efficient and Empathetic. He's been a podiatrist for 25 years and counting . Most doctors who have been in the business for years start to forget why they took on the career in the first place. Not this doctor! While removing the fungus from my friend's feet he was very empathetic and careful. He answered any questions she had in a very empathetic way. He didn't rush her or make her feel inferior. She was very comfortable. What I admired most is he didn't just go through the process, he walked her through it. Communicated to her every move he made and why. That even brought me comfort. Some things she was requested didn't sound like services that any medical building would offer but he was able to relay that to her in way that left her with her dignity. That was so greatly appreciated because she hadn't been treated to good by other medical staff by phone or in person. The parking arrangement impressed me very much. When you enter into the parking garage, your plate is noted automatically. Once you're done with your appointment and you let the security. No ticket or anything is needed upon exiting. Very smooth. I have PPO but I still choose Optum and have been going here for about 5 years. I never had an issue and everything is done in a timely manner. Every doctor, nurse practitioner, receptionist, and lab were very pleasant to work with. I've had a lot of urgent requests and they were handled timely and with care. Shout out to Dr Rosales! Formally known as Health Care Partners. Same doctors and staff, just a change in ownership. This is the new building after the one in DTLA near Staple Centers got closed. Plenty of free parking in their high rise with validation. They ask you multiple COVID related questions before you can enter their building. The check in area can use some improvement. Sometimes they are not very customer oriented. I hate waiting for my turn when they are too busy talking amongst themselves instead of checking in the patients. I've been late to my appointment on occasion because of them. Very nice building and patient examination rooms. Waiting areas are comfortable and pleasant looking, I just wish the TV show on was in English instead of Spanish. No one else was in the waiting area so it would have been nice to change the channel if I could have. Instead of seeing my primary care physician, I chose to see the nurse practitioner because of the service that I needed. Maria Mendoza is a very nice NP and I have always felt very comfortable speaking to her openly. She's a good listener. The only disadvantage is that she's not at this location every day. She also goes to the Montebello office so it's challenging to get an appointment to see her. Sometimes the nurse has to draw my blood which I prefer instead of having to go to the lab. The nurses here have always been very good at drawing my blood, they listen to me when I tell them the best vein to use. My doctor wanted me to schedule an x-ray, so I called the number that I was given and left a voicemail. Unfortunately, they NEVER called me back, so I decided to go to the Optum located in Glendale instead. Overall, besides the distance from my home and work, I like this place. read more

Can call in a prescription and to our disappointment the Dr. said there was nothing he could do and would call the patient the following Monday. The Dr. is Jose Carlos. What type of Dr. does not make time for an elderly patient? Should he even be working? Whatever happened to the oath he took when he became a dr.??? I would not waste my time with this clinic. Dr Crystal Lin is a complete mess. I have been waiting on a few simple documents to be filled out for a month and a half with one call from her office in the time period. It has been impossible to get in touch with anyone who can help me and reception leaves messages for them marked urgent but nothing changes. I would never recommend this specific doctor to anyone. What should have taken two weeks at the max has been dragged out with mo end in sight. Whatever her skill as a doctor may be, Crystal Lin and her office have not one shred of professionalism among them. I would rather bleed out than go back here. read more

My kids have been a patient here since they were babies and still were Healthcare Partners. I have 4 children all supported by Dr. Basta who is magnificent. We love working with him and he is the reason why we are still going here. Unfortunately, in the last 2 years I have had nothing but bad experiences with scheduling appointments with him. I have to now call the main number to take me through all the prompts and when I get to pediatrics it rings a few times and then it hangs up. I am beyond frustrated with this clinic right now. I used to refer everyone here and now, I am going to have to look where else I can take my children. They are in need of their physical because of school sports and I cannot even get a live person. I have been trying for weeks and do not have the ability to drop in. I am beyond frustrated and wish that some improvement are made. I understand that I am one of many but just as much as we get charged for the insurance, I expect providers to also be available. On 1/17/25, I was scheduled to see a provider in sports medicine at OPTUM in Seattle a second time, which had to be rescheduled because the first visit was not honored. Because I re-scheduled registration with this provider for the first time, I sat for 30 minutes the first time and was never told that the provider was overbooked. This time, I took the courtesy to call to let the provider know I was running late due to traffic, and I had already been on the highway for 2 1/2 hours driving from Blaine, Washington, to Seattle. When I spoke to scheduling, they bluntly said that they would not convey my message to the provider and that I had one of two choices: to either cancel my appointment or reschedule, and that was the only two options I had. At the same time, when I looked at my NAVIS account, I realized that OPTUM had failed to refund our office visit payment from the FIRST VISIT. I wanna be clear. This has nothing to do with my provider, the services he has provided, and/or past care he has provided me. This has to do with how OPTUM operationalizes its business. As I drive back to Blaine, I get a message from Optum asking where I am or will be attending my appointment. I honestly don't know what kind of "shit show" this organization is running, but I find it very disrespectful and has total disregard for patient care. This is how people are getting treated. This building just opened up right before covid. I do not recommend anyone going there. Since it opened it's been hard getting someone on the phone and then when you do an hour later, they tell you they will take a message for you. No one ever gets back to you. They keep updating their systems and it's just goes from bad to worse. God forbid you fall in the parking structure that is made for them, they will not come out and help you, no matter how old you are. Things were better when they were in downtown LA. My grandma only speaks Spanish so she filled out the form in spanish, we went to drop them off for her, they told us she signed the wrong one. They don't accept Spanish forms ONLY ENGLISH, how the hell was my grandma supposed to know this. It's incredible what these greedy bastards will do to keep profits up at the expense of our health. I was told that four of the best doctors at my PCP office quit because of their shenanigans and I've had to change my cardiologist TWICE. And today I discovered that they cleverly removed all therapists from the "find a provider" section of their website. I called them to ask about that and they basically told me to "call around". I spoke to someone this morning who was helpful and polite, only to be handed off later to someone who acted personally offended that I even asked a question. I called expecting basic information on getting a prescription--something Optum, a prescription management company, should easily handle. Instead, I got vague, fragmented answers that provided zero actionable information. It felt like talking to a broken chatbot that refuses to elaborate. At this point, it's obvious Optum thrives on screwing over patients--dragging them through endless hoops instead of offering clear, competent service. You don't have insurance, they treat you like crap here. Broken collar bone and they treated people who checked in after me first. After finally being called; they just sat me in a room for another hour without attending me. Because I didn't have insurance they were "calculating" the cost of the xrays., once I said that I don't give a damn about the money, I just wanted to go the f home, all of a sudden they take action and take me to the x ray room without give me the quote. LMAO. I told the technician how snakey that was and asked approx what the price for each scan was. She said about $200 a scan. Hilarious how they leave me in a room for an hour cuz they think I won't pay, but once I say money isn't an issue they're more than happy to treat me. Worst part is once I'm done I pay my fee and get a receipt. One month later I get a letter in the mail saying I owe $120.. no mention of what for. Never told me at checkout out that I had a balance. They say one thing and do another. They told me to get here before 11:50 for a flu shot when I called them before coming and I was here at 11:30. Had to wait for them to come back from lunch. Doctors are never available. Urgent Care is always your best bet because there rest of the clinic is not reliable and everyone seems to be rude and they serve a lot of elderly people. I have been really disappointed in their services ever since they moved from the Olympic location which was way smaller and less staff. Optum needs to check its staff, always standing gossiping while people wait. Their radiology department never answers and this clinic has a high turn over of doctors I've had like 5 doctors since I've been here and most were great but something isn't right if they keep leaving. The nurses suck, they have a few good ones but over all they need to assess their practices and all staff needs to be aligned with information they provide to their clients. read more

Worst patient support I've ever received from a medical office. They called me the morning of my appointment, after I'd already taken off time from work to come in during their open hours. They straight-up lied, saying they'd called me multiple times to try and reschedule my appointment - it was 100% the first attempt they'd made to notify me. Then, even though I'd already waited months for this appointment, they said I'd have to wait over 3 more months to reschedule. Absolutely ridiculous, unprofessional, no respect for their own patients or their time. Avoid this office like the plague - you'll probably catch it here if you go, anyway. read more
