This is the worst care facility I've ever been to in my life. Dr. Douty and Dr Tori. Misdiagnosed my pain I'm on the spectrum I have chronic prostatitis and back issues and they haven't done anything to address these issues at all. Dr Dowty says " you have to wake up at 7 AM every single day and then tells me I have to lose weight for my health issues" no offense but you're a big guy too, dude. Also, Dr. Tori. Said " there are people in wheelchairs with worst off pain than you." I'm fed up with this place. People should stay away from doctors like this with an ego complex and find someone else I'm done. FYI Redlands Advantage laboratory hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm. This information is not posted on the Optum website, but is printed on the doors. I've been a patient at Redlands Advantage for over 10 years. My primary care doctor stayed through the transition to Optum and reports that "panel size" (the number of patients assigned to each doctor) dramatically increased after Optum took over. (Doctors in other specialities report the problem is not as bad outside primary care). Optum is owned by UnitedHealth Group (UHG), a major healthcare company with over $370 billion in revenues per year. In its latest report to shareholders, UHG touted "double-digit growth" at Optum and 14% growth in earnings across the entire company. optum is HORRIBLE!!! ever since they went from Beaver to Optum it has been a nightmare. I cannot wait until I switch groups. If reviewing this to choose Optum be prepared for long waits, doctors leaving, the best medical asisstants leaving, long waits for appointment, and the clinics themselves have been remodeled to look like psych facilities. Yes Optum is a down grade. I call it the 99-cent store for healthcare. People don't be afraid to speak up and push for what you want. Because of a test result it was recommended I get colonoscopy. Ok. But I don't want to be drugged until I am sloppy, have a tube inserted by a stranger, and then need a ride home. I had a virtual colonoscopy a few years ago and will go back. Let's see if Optum will pay for it. I doubt it. But I will get my insurance company to. Never ever forget healthcare is BIG business. read more

Doctors are as flaky .They will cancel their appointments with you literally while you're in the parking lot or 10 minutes away. If we do that as a patient, we are charged money. However When a doctor's office does it you just have to wait another month to be seen or they push you off to a provider for a sooner appt . They should have a on call doctor. This medical group is a perfect example of a collection of people who just don't care. my mothers appts were either canceled due to her PCP not coming into work or other circumstances. The last time her appt was canceled due to her PCP being called to an emergency .only good note pcp and staff is real nice . read more

I'll start off by sayin how hard it is to get an appointment with a doctor. My first primary I picked cancelled on my appointment and actually left Optum. I was fortunate to pick up a new primary. Dr. Lababidi. He actually took the time to listen to my concerns, gave me a referral and ordered numerous different test for bloodwork. He said he is already filling fast and appointments are months out but if you're in search of a doctor and can hold off for an appointment I definitely recommend him. Overall the experience has been mediocre but it is not the employees fault, it is how Optum system operates and if things don't change patients will continue to leave as well as doctors. To get an appointment faster try visiting the ER for any health concerns and they can get you a follow up with a primary sooner than a "new patient visit" Also the facility was clean! I went in for follow-up care and the covering doctor for my former primary care ordered blood work that was not discussed with me and then failed to order the blood work I needed repeated to verify results. Needless to say I am not happy with the care. Additionally, when the doctor commented on the blood work he did not properly identify one of the test. I am looking for a new medical group. I wish my former doctor took my insurance, but they only do PPO. I miss the old Beaver Medical Group. Optum is only interested in making money. That's probably why they ordered the test that were done. I will go to urgent care before I return there. read more

Used to be a great practice, great staff . Since the U.S. Healthcare takeover, patient care is basically non existent. Having an arm fracture requiring surgery, torn rotator cuff, labrum, and likely additional muscle / tendon damage. Rather than hear my concerns as a patient, I was given a splint and sent home to see my family physician. For whatever reason, when I tried to make an appointment I was told that my doctor is not making appointments, or seeing patients. They wanted to send me home again. After basically arguing to be seen , For my injuries . I was sent to see a Nurse practitioner , who passed Me off to another facility in Beaumont, where they treated me with a splint. Acknowledging,I needed surgery. That was the extent of my'"treatment " . After twenty years of paying for healthcare with this outfit, this is what is has come to. I have left "messages" in the patient portal to call their office, but reception staff will not allow you to speak to the nursing staff. Profit over patient care is the new mission for this group. I would recommend based on my experiences to avoid this outfit at all cost. You have now become their cash cow, over patient care. Thank god it happened at a time when I could control who gets my insurance benefit. Never again will I subscribe /enroll with this outfit. Unless you are satisfied with non existent treatment, this is truly a poor choice to make for medical care. Good Riddance. read more

I'd love to have Beaver back. Optum takes months on end to get an appt. Specialty Dr.s m you are being sent all over the place, Outsourced. From Redlands, to St Bernadines, to TEmecula (50 miles for a 10 minute office visit and another 50 miles back home! Not to mention the traffic going there. The convience of having Beaver Drs all in Beaver offices. Many specialties have become a pain! Rhumatology , hemotology, among those outsourced. Thinking about leaving this group and insurance to get better service. This change has made things much more difficult for patients. If your sent to St B's, arrive an hour or more ahead to find a disabeled parking spot. These outsourced Dr.s are not communcating with you on MyChart as well. You cannot chat with them or ask questions. The best part of Beaver was MyChart. Optum and takend a step back to the 80's! All about greed and making money vs patient care and welfare! read more

Over the last couple of years, Optum purchased Beaver. It seems like every day things get worse there. Their waiting list for Primary Care is a year long. Without seeing a primary, you can't be referred to a specialist. My family has resorted to using Urgent Care or the ER for most of our medical needs and that's not ideal for anyone. My former Primary went out sick a year ago and has still not been replaced. Optum is off the list when we make our year end insurance and medical group selections. read more

I went 2 weeks ago to establish care with a new Dr, initial visit was quick and easy, check in process was issue free. I returned this week to draw blood at the lab, I was told it opened at 730am so I had to call out of work for the morning to handle the blood draw. I walked in at 730am and noticed the door said Lab hours were 8am. I greeted the office employee at the desk and she was extremely rude and wouldn't talk to me because I wasn't wearing a mask. She tried to give me one and I politely declined, she insisted I must wear one and when I questioned her on it, she told me if I don't wear one I'm not welcome there. Glad I missed a couple hours of work to not get my blood drawn due to an ineffective mask mandate that they are now pushing on everyone. I refuse to support a business as such read more

Optum has ruined Beaver Medical. All of the Specialists have either left or are planning to. I loved my former doctor, but she left on medical leave, and never came back. My blood work took three weeks to give me results, when it used to take 2-3 days. I hear from all over how miserable the drs are under the new corporate take over. My daughter was having heart issues, and the cardiologist couldn't see her for 6 months. I need to be under constant ENT care, and they have two left that are part time. Therefore, I am going to urgent care and Teledoc. It's frustrating and very disappointing. Patient Care has went out the window. read more

Be ready to have a mask if you enter this building. I went yesterday and was told I had to wear a mask by the unplesant lady at the front desk. I asked if it was a state mandate (I knew it wasn't) and she said yes. I argued with her about it not being a state mandate. She called out her manager and the manager said it was an Optium rule to wear one not a staye mandate. This is just one more thing that is terrible about this place. It was alright (for the most part) when it was Beaver, but it has only become so much worse since Optium took over. Doctors are leaving like crazy because the management is so bad. read more
