They were trialing a chicken satay roti, which we've found at only a few other places ever, so that was a must order. At those other places this dish is as it sounds - chicken from a satay skewer wrapped in roti- but here they've made it into a wrap with some salad. Very nice, but a heads up that it's very filling for an entree! We also had the pork dumplings which were nicely done, the calamari which was close to perfectly cooked, and the lamb curry which was mild on spice but very tasty nonetheless. We got chastised for not being able to finish it all from the cheeky wait-staff, but was all in good fun. Our first visit there but the rest of those eating in seemed to be regulars who the staff were all familiar with, which always tells you a lot about a place.

Note that everything in their display window are hand-rolls. (Not the bitty 'set of 6' style, just one big honker.) They have a ton of churn during the lunch hour, so they need to prepare all the fish / rolls starting at 9am. That's why there are several meters of sushi sitting there by 11am. But it all tastes good. There was one with tuna and basil that was *UNBELIEVABLY GOOD* and easily worth the cost... it really wasn't that expensive. Yes, this from a sushi to-go place. We finished these dishes and everything was whisked away and our bill brought three minutes later! We all looked at each other, then waiter and then at each other again... ermm, "we haven't finished yet". I then had to explain that we'd also ordered a beef bibimbap. Again with the blank stare. "Yes, we would like more food. Yes, the beef bibimbap". 10 minutes later a stone-pot bibimbap was put down in front of us (though not before the bill was brought again to us as if we were ready to leave!). Wow, what a disappointment. It looked great, with a fried egg on top, but at $16 the contents were a bit lacking, with only a tiny bit of meat and average rice. We left some in the bowl, finally paid the bill (third time's the charm!) and departed. Sadly, Seoul Soul has a fun modern interior but not the substance to warrant more than a two star rating from me.
