I received a call at 10:30AM that morning letting me know my appointment needed to be rescheduled due to a sudden illness. Ok, understandable. You can't help when you get sick. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. I went on to reschedule my appointment for 2:00 PM for today, the 30th. I called earlier at 10:30AM just to confirm my appointment. I was then told that the woman who does the mediumship readings was out of the office today due to a "family emergency". Coincidence? I think not. Ummm...were you ever going to call to let me know this? Were you going to just let me show up for my 2:00 appointment? This business appears to be very unprofessional and lacking in basic professional services (ex-calling to confirm/CANCEL appointments). I do NOT recommend this business.

This time I had the honor of attending the play, "Rasheeda Speaking." From the moment my husband and I arrived, we were warmly greeted by a parking attendant who also directed us to the correct theatre. Once inside, all of the ushers and greeters were friendly and professional. The performance was good and our seats allowed for a great view of the stage. My only con was the seating. It was held in the Arena Theatre which is small and intimate, however the seating was folded chairs which left very little leg room. Unfortunately this created a cramped environment which left us shifting in our seats throughout the performance. But as stated, we thoroughly enjoyed the performance!

When I arrived on W.9th I was immediately shocked to see 3 women dressed alike dancing with big red balls. Street performers! I couldn't believe my eyes. I have always thought Cleveland was the sort of town that would never accept the creativity, craziness, and the gutsiness it takes to put yourself out there and make such a statment. The women, all young adults, were wearing black jumpers, red tanks, and striped B/W tights. Their moves were slightly choreographed, but usually it appeared that they were free forming until one decided to syncronize. My second thought was that my bff coming to meet me was going to be horrified. I didn't specifically know that she had a fear of mime-like creatures, but given all her other fears, I knew it was a safe bet. Sure enough the first words out of her mouth were "I AM NOT STAYING HERE WITH THOSE THINGS." You know it is bad when someone refers to a performer as a "thing." Somehow, she let us stay and we really enjoyed them. It is just cool to see people on the street united around a common interest. The dancers gave strangers a reason to feel connected and that is always cool in my book.
