Way too hot outside. Not enough shade. Not enough food options. It was mostly tents and vendors selling random things like Botox and vacations. And cheap, novice things like backpacks, sandals and Knick knacks. In each area, there was a band playing. And the music was obnoxiously loud. There was 1-2 food item options in each country they were representing. I tried the cannoli in Italy, and it sucked. $8 for a crappy cannoli. The line at the Ireland tent for potatoes on a stick, was insane. To me, none of it was worth my time. There was zero parking nearby. You had to walk a couple blocks out to get there. And then stand in-line forever for some boo-boo a$$ food. And everything was overpriced. And the heat just added to how unpleasant the experience was. Pass. I'd never do this event again.

We haven't been to the street fair in years so we thought we would stop by for a few hours to check it out in the early afternoon on the last day. It was crowded but I'm sure a lot less crowded than it would be on Friday or Saturday afternoon/evening. My girlfriend's mom lives about a half mile away from the circle so we just parked there and walked over. I think next time we would just pay to park closer to the circle in one of the $10 lots since it got pretty hot later in the afternoon. We started out with Greek loukoumades pastry. Most of them were very light and airy but a few of them had a little crunch which was nice. They had a nice sweet flavor, not overwhelmingly sweet by any means. Next we had two spiral potatoes, one hot & spicy and one ranch. They were both deep fried perfectly and we both liked the hot & spicy better than the ranch. It was less salty and the heat level was mild. As we were getting ready to leave, I was thirsty and a fresh squeezed Barrett's lemonade sounded good. I got the strawberry lemonade and it was unfortunately a disappointment. I was expecting some fresh squeezed sour citrusy flavor but it just tasted like some mild premixed lemonade and they just shake it up with some off the shelf strawberry syrup. Prices overall seemed on the higher side. If was fun to check out since it had been a while but I would be fine skipping it again for a while.

Parking can be super difficult to find, especially free parking. We were lucky to find parking amidst the chaos on the Saturday Labor Day weekend. Many lots were charging at least $10 for parking for the event. The Loukoumades were delicious. Light, soft pastry like a pillow in my mouth. The syrup can be a bit too much making the pastry bite soggy, but the overall sweet flavor with the cinnamon sugar coating was good and addicting. Syrup reminded me of a banana flavor. Loved the variety in vendors for food and you could always hop into a cafe or restaurant to grab a bite. It got super hot in the afternoon though. Overall, with the music and liveliness, a great event to enjoy with family and friends. Grab a Greek sausage, shawarma wrap, or beer and just chill.

I've been wanting to check this street fair out for years and finally made it to the international street fair this year. It was held during Labor Day weekend, Friday thru Sunday. Knowing it would be busy and hot we decided to arrive early at 10:00am. It was a great experience for us as we combined wandering thru a couple of antique stores, watching some Polynesian and various music entertainment and eating some good food. We had a Greek beef gyro, an Italian cannoli and of course a German beer. Overall a fun experience. We enjoyed listening to Greek musicians while enjoying our gyro, watching Polynesian dancers making us yearn to return to the islands and enjoyed lively music while walking thru Mexico. It does get hot so make sure you wear a hat, wear plenty of sunscreen and go early.

The Orange International Street Fair is a yearly occasion locals always look forward to. A wide selection of food, vendors selling their wares and beer!!! The atmosphere is dynamic, fun and exciting. This is an experience definitely worth trying out. As we walked around and found ourselves in "Germany" area of the Fair and had the most fun experience of the day. Festmeister Hans was playing. Sang 500 miles. People were on their feet and dancing around! Awesome band! Socal Weekend Walkarounds definitely recommends the Orange Street Fair and checking out Festmeister Hans! n 1973, The City of Orange was looking for ideas to celebrate its one hundredth year. Inspired by the Orange Street Fair of 1910 it was decided that for their centennial celebration, Orange would have the Orange International Street Fair (OISF). The Fair was so successful that it has become an annual tradition during Labor Day weekend. The Fair is located near Plaza Park in the historic downtown district. https://www.orangestreetfair.org/about/history/ Watch this short clip and get the vibe at the Orange Street Fair! https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8YKTDJE/

This is one of the best traditions on Labor Day Weekend! A huge variety of food, several types of live music, fun booths (shopping, community services, and poliical), and just good energy. Most food booths are supporting a charity or school group so you know the money probably goes to a good cause. The biggest challenge here is finding a place to sit if get food that you can't eat and go. We finally found a bench, but it was still tricky to eat my messy meatball sandwich. It's usually fairly warm to hot the first weekend in September so I suggest going early AM and be out of there by 1 pm-ish. I like to park in the parking garage off Lemon St. If it is hot, at least your car is in the shade. Most of the parking is about the same price if you can't find a spot on the street. Kudus to the stores that stayed open. We dipped into a few whiles we were there, mainly for some A/C or at least to cool down (it was a 100+ degree day), but it's fun to browse and I have some ideas for Christmas shopping this winter. Most of the people working the booths are very nice, but they are high volume and volunteers, so be patient. If fair food isn't your thing, you might not enjoy this, but if you just want to kill a couple of hours and enjoy the atmosphere, then, by all means, join in on the fun.

Pepperoni Pizza, tastes ok, would skip next time

Orange International Street Fair is fun! I had Loukoumades, Carne Asada and Al Pastor Street Tacos, Taquitos and Pepperoni Pizza. I would go out of my way to come here for the Loukoumades. Have you had Loukoumades? Well I hadn't until last year! Loukoumades are kind of like Greek Donuts. If you haven't had them yet, you definitely need to put this on your list, these are a must. The dough is deep fried to a golden crisp and dunked in sweet honey syrup, amazing. The street tacos and taquitos I had were good but not mind blowing so I probably wouldn't get it again. The pizza I got was very just ok, wouldn't get again. Can't wait to go back and try other options. They did have a fair amount of food options, I think each street represents a different country. Since the only thing I really liked were the Loukoumades, I give the fair four stars. The street fair is coming back this year from September 1st to 3rd. They close down the streets of Orange Circle and Old Town Orange to hold this event, pretty neat. I don't know how last year was the first time I went because I've grown up in Orange County my whole life and it was the first time I'd heard about it. This fair is much bigger than I was expecting, it spans many streets, really neat. It also gets pretty crowded. It is right next to Chapman University so you know the college kids are out here having a good time and drinking. I think during the day it's not as crowded since it's quite hot but once the sun starts to set, the crowd will come. I came on a Friday around 6 PM. Parking can be a bit tough, watch the signs, you can't park in a lot of neighborhoods because it's by permit only. I just park further away and walk. It's mostly free street parking you'll find. This is a non-profit event which I thought is pretty cool. Everyone here is nice including service. There aren't really tables to sit and eat though so you'll have to stand around. There is live music. Prices are going to be more expensive as expected going to a street fair but I'd say that the Loukoumades are 100% worth it. Lines for food can get long depending on where you pick, Loukoumades line is always long but also moves quickly.

If you are an Orange County native, the International Street Fair of Orange is a must! Just forget the fact that it gets packed with people every evening. That sometimes makes it more fun. This is a yearly event put on in the Orange Circle. There are streets with international foods everywhere you turn. It is a great way to spend a day with family, friends, or even a date. The foods are booths set up by different organizations to help them raise funds. Did I mention the beer and wine booths? You can drink in the streets! It is a great way to support the community and your stomach Usually the last weekend in August. It is a must if you have never been! Get the cannolis!!

I have been coming here for years. Unfortunately it is not as fabulous as it once was. There are less vendors and no more tables to sit at. They have a nice variety of food from many ethnic areas, music, and booths to shop at. There are portable bathrooms to use. Parking is on the street or in the parking structure.

I think the first time I truly enjoyed the Orange circle fair was when my son was 2 yrs and under. That was 24 yrs ago when i lived at the Orange circle. If you live at the Orange circle neighborhood that is, actually the way to do it right. My son and I used to have so much fun. Those days are now history because the last time i truly had a good timd was 3 yrs ago with my bestie from Chicago. Then again, I do remember a yaper mini dog attacking our military cane corso dog and the owner with no license allowing her mini diva syndrome dog over reacting when she was to drunk to realize what really took place. Scary! If you are a family come to the fair before noon because at night its a drunk fest. If you plan on crashing into O'Hara's look for Ray. His the dude that will take care of you. Now if are going into Paul's Cocktails go look for Jenn. Oh yeah, she is my homegirl! If you have a problem go stick your head in a bucket of cold water. Seriously it gets really hot in the back patio. I guess you have to come in with the idea that you might eat on the pavement. Haven Pub will modify their menu and I really do not blame them but it is really down sized to the minimal. Perks many fun vendor's and many local bands play. Food wise it is okay I only go for the bratwurst with spicy mustard but that is really hard to mess up. Over all I go every other year in the last 25 yrs. Parking you are under gods good humor. I usually find parking in the neighborhood and walk. Over all if its not a hot day I will drop in and visit Jenn at Paul's cocktails on Sunday morning at early morning hours. She makes the best bloody Mary's but at that point I lyft or uber it. Many many cops all over so folks be smart an lyft it! Over all it is great to visit for a bit and it is great for people watching. Grab a bite or an ice cream cone and call it a day!

Heard about this fair through social media and I wanted to check it out. Parking was absolutely horrible, tons of lots preying on this fair to take your money. I thought there was a free parking offered and they sometimes do not say it until you leave the car. We were told to pay $20 so we left and took around 30 minutes to find a spot. This was at around 10:25 AM and the event starts at 10. Anyways, the fair itself had limited food choices. It looks like there is a lot since they have different streets but it is like 2-3 foods really. We were mostly into the Greek food and we got a gyro wrap with Loukoumades which were the best. The gyro itself was decent but it cost $12 which could get you much better food elsewhere. Many of the booths were from schools and non-profits so they are raising money so do not have high expectations. The organization booths were very interesting and not in a great way. Some were from health organizations, related to schools around the area, and the Police Academy was there so you get some nice free goodies from the company. However, me and my partner got pulled into two almost "time share" scams. They lure you to signing up to visit one of their locations and they promise a beautiful 7-8 day vacation. It was pretty much we were forced by these staff to visit the booth and hear their blurb. At this point, we wanted to leave but they did not want us to which was a huge red flag. We just wanted to guess how many balls were in a container for "free" Dodger tickets. I would not visit again, very packed and busy for overpriced food.

The fair has been going on for years and it's full of food drinks and vendors. They started to have live music and if your trying to chat with a vendor close to the music it's very hard to hear a person. They opened a parking structure and they were charged $10.00 You can find street parking . Lots of people watching and a great feeling to be outside

    Saturday... Early, already getting busy!

Labor Day Weekend street fair in Orange County. Pretty much, you should know it's going to be over crowded, the weather is going to be either scorching hot or humid and you're going to have no where to sit and have to wait in lines to pay for overpriced food and beer. Is it worth going to at least one time, absolutely, if you''re hang loose and can just accept what you're going to be dealing with than have at it, but be warned it's not for everyone! You might enjoy the circle on a regular weekend, keep that in mind.

The Night Market itself was alright there wasn't many vendors or much of really anything to occupy our time with. The screen they were showing Back To The Future on was relatively small and just wasn't an all around enjoyable size for the large group of people in the park. [Parking]: $15 per vehicle for on-site parking just to enter the OC Fair & Event Center. [Admission]: Our party purchased the same-day tickets and paid a $16 per person entry fee. [What to expect]: The market was approximately half food vendors and half arts / crafts / gift vendors. There were solid craft and gift vendors, but not too many art vendors. The food was extremely overpriced ... a simple appetizer = at least $15+ & a filling meal = at least $25. The only real positive? There was a mahjong area that offered free lessons. The performance stage was alright. [Food]: Our party ended up getting only 6 pieces of soup dumplings (aka XLB) from Dumpling Dream for $14 and a cup of gelatea from Boutcha for $7.20 (one of the most affordable and best item to get at the market). [Conclusion]: If I ever come back to 626 Night Market, I would probably stick with the Arcadia location as parking is free and the admission fee is slightly cheaper. I am still having a hard time digesting the fact that getting into the market cost $30+ before even buying any food if I come here alone and I would also need to spend another $25+ just to feel like I had eaten a legit meal. This year was my 4th year attending White Wonderland. NYE is my favorite day of the year, and even…read morethough WW is a small and simple "rave", I have a great time every year. Trance music is one of my favorites, and WW highlights it. They used to have 2 stages but last year and this year they cut it down to 1. I don't mind 1 stage because I never have to decide which DJ I want to see. But on the flip side, you better be happy with the whole lineup! Ticket prices ranged from $120-150 depending on how early you bought them. I might just be dreaming, but I feel like the rave prices of $60-70 like back in the day would be a lot more fair for a 1 stage event. This is a 21+ event, which I love. The crowd is much more relaxed and responsible than you find at other massives. The decor was a bit lacking for how large of a space they had to work with. I loved the abundance of confetti and streamers that they shot out throughout the night. The Wishing Tree when you enter is a gorgeous photo op, and a cute idea to pen down your goals and wishes for the new year. Coat check is available but I don't find a need for it now that they have moved the line inside. I want to get my money's worth so I arrive close to 7 when doors open. Check-in has always been quick and painless. There are 3 tiers, ID check, security check, and ticket check. My friends and I went to the front very close to the stage and were able to remain there the whole night. We were not squished for the most part and as people from our group exited to the sides they were able to get back to us easily. I didn't realize how far back the crowd went until I left at the end of the night! We were lucky to be in the front. When I go to events I don't move around much, so I can't comment on bathroom or water lines. They had water vendors walking through the crowd at the front of the stage so you don't have to leave if you don't want to. Water from those vendors cost $4 and there was a water refill station near the back. I love that the event is so local so that for once I don't have to drive all the way out to the NOS Center or LA. Getting a hotel within walking distance is the best idea since cabs and Ubers can take a while to book. DON'T BE A PARTY POOPER. WEAR ALL WHITE. And have fun :)

Go dance your tush off to amazing music, surrounded by beautiful and weird people, and melt your face off to a ridiculous light show. What better way to ring in the New Year than in a puddle on the floor of the Anaheim Convention Center? EVENT LOCATION I loved bringing the party to Anaheim rather than San Bernardino for NYE. It's indoors, which means a lot on a chilly December night! It's also closer to home for me. The big minus here is that the Anaheim Convention Center fills up with 10,000+ people on the same night that its neighbor, Disneyland, has its busiest day of the year. Getting in and out probably took me an hour and a half total because the streets were so backed up heading in and out of the festival. I even left early to try to beat White Wonderland traffic, and I ended up in the thick of Disneyland traffic -- so many people stayed in the Park til after 1!! GETTING IN & OUT While getting to and from the Convention Center was a challenge, getting into the Center itself was pretty much a breeze. Yes, the line was long, but it moved quickly. The single-door-open policy to get in to the center itself was questionable, as it meant the longest line outside in the cold. I luckily had a coat with me, but would much rather have gotten inside quickly, and waited longer for ID/security checks. There were so many shivering ravers and I felt so bad for them. But there were plenty of staff to direct us from the parking structure ($15, steep but better than the $20 at NOS) to the Convention Center, and I appreciated that CSC Event Staff never seemed to be far away. FOOD & DRINKS I finally got to eat some of the food! And it was incredibly average, and a little stressful in my all-white outfit. The longest line was for the sushi stand, and I was happy to recognize Rolling Sushi Van slinging their rolls at this event. If it weren't for the long line I would have snatched up some California rolls myself. I didn't drink as I was driving and really just needed water to hydrate, and that was $4 a pop. Skip the pizza, and the chicken wrap from California Grill is a hastily assembled wrap without a tortilla. MUSIC Once again, this is where Insomniac is firing on all cylinders. With only two stages this time, there were less artists than at Nocturnal or Escape, but they still had a great lineup. I was so impressed that they got some incredible names who were also double-booked on NYE! I'd heard that last year a double-booked artist no-showed as he couldn't get out of Vegas, and with 4-6 performers on their way to Oakland or San Diego after their sets this year, I was almost prepared to be disappointed. But everyone showed up, played incredible sets, and I danced until I couldn't dance or keep my eyes open any longer. Hardwell and Bingo Players were highlights, with phenomenal stints from Sebastian Ingrosso and Above & Beyond as well. If you are coming for the music, there is really no other place to be on New Year's Eve. My 2013 resolution: Complete the Insomniac circle with Electric Daisy Carnival in Vegas! See you there!!

My biggest concern was the lack of access to water and the response to a medical situation I witnessed. At one point, someone appeared to be overheated and ended up on the ground. Given the warm weather and large crowds, I was surprised by the lack of urgency and support. Staff didn't have "water cups" so they ignored what was going on around them. I also asked for a cup of water to stay hydrated and was told no. For an event where people are walking around for hours in the sun, basic access to water should be a priority. The event itself was fun and well attended, but I think there is room for improvement when it comes to attendee safety, hydration, and responding to medical concerns.

I also never agree with Chili contest winners. So there lots of different types, seasonings, with or without meat. You buy tasting tickets, then use the tickets to receive a chili sample. Lines are long, so be patient. Tips I've seen from other people is to bring a muffin tin to hold all your samples. Soups, pancakes etc.. all the yummy street food you can afford wo having to sell your house these days. The flowers were amazing orchids, gladiolus there were many juicery stands, beef jerky stores, I bought a nice fake Chanel sweater only $25 just as good as the real thing. They also sell red envelopes for "lixi" happy or lucky money, on week ends they had live music n lion dance. I love the Asian Garden mall the only indoor mall we have here. Vietnamese from 49 states came here every year n most will immediately make plan to move to this land of milk n honey, it used to be really easy to move here n so cheap too. An average home I used to sell for $140k is now $1.4 million in Little Saigon so most VN tourists will just hang out here enjoy the ambiance, the food n have to go home, even then it's so worth it to visit a home away from home.

We eventually found it and entered the VIP line which moved quite fast. There were a good amount of vendors with a variety of food to sample. A few vendors included a few taco trucks. After trying a few savory bites and sweet treats we concluded our favorite vendor was Gus Fried Chicken. The wait was about 10 minutes, but it was worth it. The chicken was perfectly fried and seasoned. The extreme heat of the chicken complimented the cold raindrops slowly landing on us as it was about to rain. The event and live entertainment continued despite the drastic change in the weather. We mostly spent much of our time under the VIP tent due to the rain, but enjoyed mingling with the other guests trying to stay dry, and continued listening to the live band while trying some bites located within the VIP tent. An open bar was also included for anyone attending as a VIP. The drinks were great and crafted pretty well by a small staff of bartenders working endlessly due to the rain. Thanks to the bartenders for keeping the vibe strong. We enjoyed our time at this year's event. Hopefully next time it won't be raining, but that didn't stop the Taste of Santa Ana event from being a success.

The festival runs only the Friday night and Saturday of the weekend it occurs and this year tickets sold out! I bought my tickets in advance online. The regular $25 admission gets you 8 chocolate/food tasting tickets and 3 wine tickets. If you are not a wine drinker, you can trade your wine tickets for additional chocolate tickets. There are many different vendors here including chocolate companies, wine sellers, candy makers, ice cream and gelato vendors, bakeries, and various boutiques. Many booths at the festival are there representing local businesses also. My friends and I always have fun sampling the different goodies and wines available. We were stuffed by the end of our tastings filled with yummy gelato, cheese, wine, stoli chocolate-covered raspberry martinis, caramel apples, flatbread, ice cream, and chocolates from Luisa Chocolatiere, Godiva, See's, M Josephs, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Lindt Chocolate, Sueann Molina, Chuao Chocolatier to name a few. Volunteers were circulating also with samples of pumpkin pie. We were definitely "chocolate wasted" by the end our tastings to quote our friend, Nick. Who doesn't love chocolate and wine?! Thanks to my sweet treats bff and her "foodie senses," we were on a mission to get our chocolate fix! The O.C.C. fest went on from Nov. 5-6 only. VIP tickets were sold out for Nov. 5th. On Nov. 6th, it's $25 per person. At the door, you receive 8 tasting tickets and 3 wine tickets. Yessss! We tried everything and anything inside. There were 3 different rooms. Each one had different chocolate/desserts and wine tastings. I'd have to say that I had my 3 top faves all lined up by the end of the day. So here they are.. 1) Socially Sweet Events by Mijauno Pham. She had beautifully decorated cupcakes and cookies. The setup was very cute and girly. I tried the strawberry with vanilla frosting and the banana chocolate. Both cupcakes were moist and delicious! I also tried the chocolate chip marshmellow cookie which was also pretty good. A definite two thumbs up for her and her mini-cupcakes! 2) Ruhl Family Vineyards by Al and Elain Ruhl. They were such a sweet pair. Uber friendly and explained in detail about their wine and what they've done over the years. I could tell they loved what they did. Their Merlot and Chardonnay were exquisite. The best I've tasted at the O.C.C. fest! I'm not too picky between reds and whites, but I have to say that the Chardonnay sure won me over! 3) Mangiamo Gelato Caffe by Bob Hoxsie. Big fan! His champagne gelato was unlike anything I've ever tasted. It had the perfect blend of gelato and bubbly. I went back a second and third time to savor more but they ran out completely! Bummer! It's alright though, I'm glad I got to taste it. It's a must-try! We spent a good three and a half hours there enjoying all the desserts, complimentary food such as steak and pasta salad, and not to mention all the free wine samples on top of the others! I'm not trying to sound like a major alcoholic (or maybe I am) but hellloooooooo buzzzz hahaha. It wasn't a huge, fancy place but if you go with friends or family that love trying new sweets and wines, it's definitely a place for you! I'm not sure when the next event will be but if you keep a look out on their website or info, I'm sure you'll be able to get more details.
