Funny story. We came here early for a 9am show on a Saturday, and ran into a guy outside who caught us walking in. He asked us if they usually have showings this early. But get this, he had a parrot on his shoulder. I told him, "Yes they do. Why, are you guys early birds?"... No reaction from my joke. He went on about how he has an early morning routine, and continued to ramble. Anyway, we went in... But weird... In case anyone ever sees this parrot guy in the area. So we came here because the early showings are a pretty amazing option for people who like to avoid crowds. Our movie was empty and the reclining seating was comfortable. The only downside of this location is that it is older with outdated restrooms. read more

I have visited this Regal location many times over the years and it's sadly has been going downhill for quite a while now. I'll start with the positives. The theaters themselves are updated and the recliner seats are very comfortable. This location is also not the most crowded, so you don't often have to deal with extremely full theaters. Still, I think it's the lack of crowds that has made them slowly and slowly downgrade the rest of the experience. There is no more box office out front, and there hasn't been for many years. When it's empty, this is not the biggest deal, but if there's any line, you'll be waiting just to purchase your movie ticket. While a lot of theaters have ditched the traditional box office out front, it's still pretty standard for theaters to offer box office lines separate from concessions. To add to this the concession lines are usually only staffed with one person, so just hope it's not busy when you are there. On my latest visit, we entered our theater at the showtime, and were turned away as they still hadn't cleaned the theater. We double checked with the front that we went to the correct theater, and they said they had but for whatever reason they hadn't cleaned it yet. It may not be the biggest issue, but there is no theater I've ever been to where you can't enter at your showtime because they haven't changed it over from the last show. To me, it comes off that they don't care to staff the location adequately, and the overall experience suffers because of this. This is one of the closest movie theaters to me, but lately I've gone out of my way to visit AMC or other locations because the experience here is just below average compared to any other option nearby. I wouldn't recommend regal as a chain nor necessarily this location if you're looking for the best experience. read more

Their hours are wrong. They say they open at 1130 am but by 1230 they were still closed and the employee told me they'll be open in 7 minutes? Don't trust their posted hours. Also nobody answers the phones at this location. I tried calling many times but nobody ever picked up. You will still see employees wandering around but don't expect them to answer the phone or you for any questions. Additionally if you want to buy any sold out merch, they will direct you to another wrong location that doesn't have it. And since none of the locations answer phones, you won't be able to call and verify and instead you'll waste your time going to another location believing the employee that the other location is stocked but will end up with nothing cause it's a lie and the employee just wasted your time. Just to go an AMC, I never had any of these issues with AMC. Regal isn't worth the effort. read more

We went here to see Halloween 3 and our experience at this theater was alright. The prices are high just like the majority of theaters, but at least this one has reclining seats and few ads/trailers. This place is nowhere near as good as Century 25 in Orange, but it's definitely better than the AMC in Santa Ana. read more

In short, comfy place to recline, at a premium. My +1 and I took our "little" to go see David at the movies, and we were pleased to find it was showing at this theater. Tickets for the three of us cost just under $50 but it was recliner seating and we reserved our seats in advance. City parking is a premium, so we just pulled into the parking garage next door and found a spot pretty quickly. We walked right in and scanned our tickets from the phone app, spent another $35-40 on a large popcorn and two sodas, and found our seats. We sat a little higher than we would have liked (in the F row) but it was actually nice. We could still see just fine and we didn't feel like we were being blasted quite so much by the speakers. Going to the movies used to be an inexpensive source of entertainment, but like everything, prices are inflated and so we indulge less frequently but enjoy it when we do. 3.5 stars for pricing, but we knew what we were getting into. 5 stars for the experience. read more

Enjoyed my visit to Edwards Regal in Brea. It's a small theater, but they seemed to have a good group running the facility. I came during afternoon hours, amid a large field trip visiting, and was able to still navigate things such as concessions and restrooms well. The seats were also clean. Been coming here since the place opened back in 1997! Was sad to see the other Edwards next door close, but I'm glad this one is still here. The young gentleman Eric who greets you when you arrive is always friendly and helpful. The manager gal is super sweet and can always be seen talking to guests! The restrooms are consistently kept up clean and stocked with supplies. They have restrooms upstairs which is larger and less crowded than the downstairs one. This theater is handicap friendly with ramps, elevators, and a good chunk of handicap seating. Isiah who is part of the clean up crew is friendly and will chat it up with you about any of the latest releases! Keep up the great work everyone here. I am on the Regal Rewards membership. Very basic theater in many ways. The concessions area isn't very big. Had the typical popcorn and some candy. I didn't see any fun photo opportunities or anything like that. Kind of disappointed about that. I like the cut outs and cardboard promos that you can take photos with. It's also good advertising for new movies that are out or coming soon. There is a couple retro gaming machines, and massage chairs that you have to pay for in the hallway. The recliner seats are really good. Very comfortable! Tons of room for your feet. The air conditioning was nice and cool. We saw the movie the long walk. The movie itself was long and boring lol The recliners proved very comfortable and the theater was clean. Staff were friendly. Took my son for his first movie experience!! We hadn't been the movie theater for quite some time. We loved the recliner seating! Everything was so clean! Staff was welcoming and friendly. Popcorn didn't seem that fresh and probably should have better drink options maybe juice for the kid tray. Other than that everything was great! We definitely appreciated how clean it was! This theater is a bit outdated in their decor and theme, but their theaters have reclining seats which makes up for it. The seats are very comfy and spacious, with cup holders on each side as well. The concession area has lots of options, all overpriced, but that's all movie theaters lol. Parking is an easiest at the garage directly behind the theater. It's free and shaded. read more

The reason I come here is for the reclining seating. If you don't plan on getting any snacks it is fine relative to some other options. Not a lot of food options and if you see something on their digital menu screen they probably don't sell it that way. There was a nacho menu item. It showed a variety of chips (regular nacho chips, hot Cheetos), nacho cheese and jalapeños. I received only nacho chips and no jalapeños. They up charged for the items that were featured in their picture of what was considered nachos. read more

My family and I are subscribers to the Regal Unlimited monthly plan, which costs $1,200.00 per year for four people. Today, I had to deal with Maya, a concessions cashier at the Brea Regals, who was VERY disrespectful and condescending towards me. Unfortunately, the situation was exacerbated by Patricia, the supervisor, who found the situation amusing. It is disconcerting knowing that Patricia finds customer complaints laughable and she holds a supervising position. read more

Normally I experience an okay time. However, my kids took me to see Odyssey for my birthday. As the preview was playing the sound was off, loud and echoing. When movie started it was horrible, ear piercing. Walked out and got refund. Manager was good with refunding tickets but no I'm sorry you had a bad experience or let me go check the sound or can we offer another movie. Also, the money spent on snacks.... Reached out to Regal customer service, disappointed. Received a generic response, so I know it was not read. Will give AMC a try. read more

This is my favorite theater to go to. It's always clean and never feels too busy or too dead - just the right vibe. The staff here is really nice and actually helpful when you need something. Even though I live closer to other theaters in Fullerton, I still drive here because it's just a better experience overall. Worth the extra drive for sure! read more

Decided to do a movie date night in Brea and came to this theatre to see The Thunderbolts*. We opted to stop by to get our tickets early before dining at a nearby restaurant. Sad to see that they don't have a box office employee, so had to stand in the concession line that was 8-9 customers deep with just 2 employees. They did add a 3rd employee to help move the line, but wish they had a dedicated ticket line. Grateful that my Regal movie passes that were gifted to me many years ago were still valid. A great value with the very comfortable reclining chairs. It lessened the sting of a $10 soda. I know, I sound old. The auditorium was clean, excellent sound and at a perfect temperature (considering it was an 100 degree day in Brea, this was much appreciative). Restrooms were small, but clean and well maintained. I feel that the theatre is stuck somewhere between a regular theatre and a Cinepolis type place. So as long as I have my movie passes from years ago, I look forward to watching movies in their comfy chairs. read more

First off, I love this theater. It's been my local theater for over 20 years. But going to the movies should feel special and unfortunately, recently, two different auditoriums have picture issues where there's this blue hazy aura when the screen should be black and it ends up making any dark scene look incredibly muddy and grainy and unclear. Specifically Auditoriums 9 & 10 both have had this issue when I saw Hamnet and Brick. The scenes at nighttime in Hamnet especially looked terrible. Could barely see what was happening. I don't know if it's the projector or the screen or a combination of both, but the picture on my tv at home shouldn't look better than the image on the screen at a movie theater. Please fix, Regal! read more

I have been to this theater so many times I don't really know why I never wrote a review here. The seat recline, the food and snacks are good. The people working there are friendly. Went to see Twisters tonight, of course had to see it especially loving the first Twister movie so much! It's in downtown Brea it's not a huge theater but it's big enough! It's not that cold inside but it can be. I'm comfortable sitting on the seats they sort of squeak when your move your seat back lol so when you need to go to the restroom or get a snack people can hear it haha but not to lower the stars. I will always come back here cause it's really close by. I appreciate the nachos they were good never seen half Doritos and half regular chips. They also have hot Cheetos and something else sorry I forgot but I liked the nachos one I got with the Doritos and of course got a candy. This location is great. It's is centrally located in the heart of Brea which is convenient for a date night or day. One of the best part about this location is the amount of public parking around. Although parts of the lobby and halls feel dated, the whole location is well maintained and clean. The actual auditoriums are great with the comfortable automatic reclining chairs. You can get very comfortable watching a movie here. The concession stand could use a little more variety. Reason for the 4 and not 5 starts is because one of our chairs was missing the buttons for reclining the chair, so maybe a little better quality check of the equipment. read more

Unfortunately, the controller on my seat was broken, so I couldn't adjust the recline, which was a bit disappointing. (Theatre 1, G3 seat). Would've been perfect otherwise. Theater chain with reclining seats. Came here on a Sunday around 1pm and reserved seats online in advance. There's restrooms upstairs with no line as well as restrooms on the bottom level. The chairs were comfy and there was ample space between the rows. We watched Barbie and the surrounding sound was great. read more

I've been coming to this location at least once a week for the past two years or so - unless when I'm on vacation. The main reason? Each auditorium/theater has recliner seats. Other theaters in the area aren't the same. I also enjoy most Regal's/Edwards' popcorn than the other big chains'. Reasons for the 3-star review: First, the men's restroom, at most times, smells, whether it's caused by the patron or maybe they just don't do air freshener. And there's always one urinal that's out-of-service. This is talking about the main men's restroom, not the other one. Second reason, and the reason I'm writing this review, after coming here for many times: They are now charging $1.79 for jalapeños. I think it sucks that after spending almost $20 for popcorn and a drink that I still have to pay for jalapeños. Oh, and if you've never add the jalapeños with your popcorn, try it. I mean like I was basically going here since birth. This place never did me wrong and always did its purpose of letting me watch some amazing and astronomical movies. I've been going here so long that they did renovation to add reclining seats! Ever since elemntary, my family and friends and I have always been served great quality service. The workers here are friendly, and the movie theatres are clean. The movie food is alright because it's just movie food you know. Overall, the prices are rising but thats because of inflation sadly. Great place, clean bathrooms, great theatres, good quality, thank you for serving me for my 19 years. By the way, the best bathrooms that are not crowded are upstairs!
