The Container Store is my go to place for bringing ideas to reality as a Do-It-Yourself type of…read moreperson. You can (most of the time) find that organizational item you were looking for at a decent price point proportional to its quality. This day I was assisting a family member with some organizational and closet ideas. We had some approximate measurements of the layout from The Container Store website and ideas of how the closet should flow. Gold Star to Stacy!!! She was about to get off work but, politely let us know she would stay to answer any questions we had and we had many. As she addressed each concern, she produced a visual representation for the layout and informed us that The Container Store was currently offering 30% off items in the store including ELFA Closet systems. She calculated the approximate cost and my jaw hit the floor (literally). The cost was below what I thought it would be, plus I was kicking myself because I did a home remodel after The Big Texas Freeze in 2021 and used Closet Factory and they were great, but I could have saved thousands of dollars had I used ELFA Closet System for my needs. I asked for the in-home consultation to ensure we got the best measurements and use of space for our project and this is where she suggested Aaron. Aaron came out to the location looked at Stacy's rendition and used this as a template due to some space considerations onsite. In the end, he maximized additional space in the Master Bedroom closet and the money saved was enough to remodel two more closet spaces. He was always attentive to our needs and provided various ways to use the spaces in the future as needed. You can save a huge amount of money if you opt to do-it-yourself!!! They can deliver for $70 or you can pick up your order from either Post Oak or The Woodlands locations. I think the sale will be discontinued by 10/22 and prices of the product might increase also. Being transparent, this project included a Master Bedroom, Guest Bedroom and Office closet with a price tag of $3k and some change, BUT the return on investment will offset this and the potential in an increase of property value will have you smiling.

After researching several other companies and private contractors, we decided to collaborate with…read moreSpaceManager Closets to create our study, master, and game room displays, bookcases, entertainment center, and closet. Despite not being the cheapest, the three key factors that influenced our decision were the impressive displays in the showroom, local manufacturing facility located behind the showroom, and the lifetime transferable warranty. Kameha, the friendly front desk representative, made us feel welcome and proudly guided us through the facilities. We had never encountered a company so eager to showcase its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility! The showroom displays catered to various room upgrades, were diverse, and visually stunning. Throughout the design phase, we had an exceptional experience with Chris K., our designer. He possessed an artistic flair, humility, and a customer-centric approach, never exerting pressure on us. His keen eye for space and attention to detail resulted in designs that not only met our requirements but also exuded aesthetic appeal. Working with Chris was a delightful experience! Brian, Chris's supervisor, was also incredibly flexible and played a crucial role in finalizing the deal. He readily accommodated all our requests and ensured a seamless payment process. Wendy and Angela in the back office were exceptionally communicative, respectful, and accommodating. They handled all our communication needs with precision, providing timely emails, phone calls, follow-ups, and re-schedules. The installation was meticulously handled by three crews, each responsible for a distinct room. Their enthusiasm and well-organized approach set the tone for the project. Upon entering, they donned booties, clearly explained the process, and laid out thick cloth sheets and other barriers to prevent dust and debris from falling. Their meticulous attention to detail ensured a flawless installation. Even staying late one evening to complete the job, they cleaned thoroughly after themselves and departed as planned. However, we encountered a few significant delays. The game room cabinet puck lights were delayed due to a lack of timely supplies from a vendor. The glass door was initially damaged and subsequently mishandled by a new employee at the shop. These issues caused the project to drag on for over a month, making it somewhat inconvenient to put all the items back in their rightful places. Despite these setbacks, the company's exemplary handling of the matter and their engagement with us were truly commendable. They helped mitigate the inconvenience and ensured that we were satisfied with the overall project. We would like to personally acknowledge each team member for their exceptional work. Kameha at the front desk, Chris K. the designer, Brian the design manager, Wendy and Angela who diligently coordinated the installation and communicated with everyone involved, Daniel the installation manager, and the most important people, the installation crews: The Three Jesus': Jesus Hernandez, Jesus Cruz, and Jesus Marquez; Pedro; Yiovanni; Abraham; and Joseph. They were all very detail-oriented, meticulous, courteous, and experts in their craft. When asked, each of them expressed their pride in working for a good company that genuinely cares for its customers. Our calls to Wendy, Angela, and Daniel to address a few minor issues after the installation always resulted in positive and prompt responses and service. We are very satisfied with the overall project so far and are enjoying the results. We plan to engage SpaceManager again for other buildouts. Kudos to management for empowering teams to prioritize the customer's needs!

We hadn't been in years, and we thought it would be a fun family trip to revisit a store we used to enjoy. When we first arrived, we were greeted warmly by the store manager, Christi, who was kind, professional, and had a genuine smile that set the right tone. The store was not busy, so it was fairly quiet, and you could easily hear my children's laughter echo through the aisles. My son is four--curious, energetic, and, like most toddlers, has a knack for exploring things he shouldn't. My one-year-old daughter giggled as he climbed into one of the large bins--yes, the sturdy, weight-bearing type designed to hold storage items. Of course, as any parent would, I told him to get out. He didn't listen immediately (because, well, he's four), but he wasn't hurting anyone or causing damage. Had anything happened, we're responsible parents and would've made it right. That's why I was completely shocked when an employee named John came marching from the opposite end of the store with a stern, unpleasant expression. Without so much as acknowledging us--the parents--he looked directly at my children and said, in a sharp tone, "Hey kids, get out of there because if you break, you buy." Then he turned and walked away. Not only was this incredibly unprofessional, it was completely inappropriate to speak to someone else's children in that manner. You don't approach toddlers with jargon they don't even understand. You address the parents first. His tone, body language, and delivery made the situation feel unnecessarily hostile and condescending--especially toward two very young kids who were simply being kids. Whether John was having a bad day or just lacks basic customer service skills, it was unacceptable. It left me embarrassed, upset, and frankly appalled that this was how a paying customer and her family were treated--especially in a store that prides itself on organization, sophistication, and service. Although Christi was not aware of what had happened during our visit, her calm and gentle spirit at checkout reminded me what great customer service should feel like. She treated us with genuine kindness and professionalism, completely unaware of the negative experience we'd just had with her employee. Unfortunately, her warmth wasn't enough to undo the damage caused by that interaction. This experience has completely changed how we view this location, and sadly, it will be the last time my family and I shop here. I sincerely hope The Container Store addresses this type of behavior and ensures no other family is ever made to feel the way we did that day.

When you are paying nearly $300 per hour for organization systems to be set up, why would you want an outcome of numerous plastic grocery bags meticulously folded into triangles? That is part of the puzzling outcome we received along with nicely organized spices among other things. In other areas, top drawers were organized logically while bottom drawers were so jam packed with items that we could not open the drawers. I could go on with the questionable outcomes. We addressed them directly and politely with the owner, Amy Vance, during and after her and her team's visit. She did not seem to grasp that the work was incomplete and deflected. We followed up with a nuanced, respectful e-mail. Amy offered 30 minutes on a different day to return and try to correct the issues. Scheduling, travel, and other commitments made coordinating such a visit impossible for us, but we appreciated the gesture. We did not, however, appreciate the inappropriately emotional nature of her response. The work was helpful to an extent but in the end felt like a money grab and did not align with the quality of work done in their prior smaller projects for us by Eco Modern. Every business has bad days but this outcome was really frustrating as we are very busy. The whole experience defeated the purpose of hiring an organizer we thought was professional. We wish them well but have removed Eco Modern from our trusted vendors.

Finding someone to come into your home Is challenging because you want someone that is reliable, trustworthy and professional. We selected her because of her reputation, awards and acknowledgements. She took the time to sit with our entire family, including our kids to get to know us and help us plan and prioritize. Because she's an expert at being productive, we really felt that each minute was used effectively. On top of everything else, she is very kind and understanding and didn't make us feel judged in any way, which we needed. Probably anyone would need that if you're at the point of hiring a professional organizer to help you get your life back in order! Unfortunately, Susan had just had surgery and was unavailable, so I got stuck with someone named Theresa instead. Only later did I realize I was being SCAMMED. Do NOT fall for this scam!! This has been a nightmare for me. I work from home (remotely) so informed them that I would be working when the individual arrived and couldn't talk much to her due to that reason. Theresa arrived about 45 min earlier than when she was supposed to--which really inconvenienced me and was very unprofessional I felt as I was busy getting ready for the day at that time. But later I realized this was part of their scam. They keep adding more and more hours to your bill (at $72 per hour--which really adds up in the end) and Theresa moved at literally a snails pace, so ultimately they can keep billing you!! This woman was SOOOO slow!! She literally took 10 hours (I was working the whole time and honestly thought she had left long ago. I was shocked and horrified to find out she was still in my apartment!! I calculated and that would cost me $720.00!! On top of that, she only organized my bedroom closet and the kitchen--which I had not asked her to organize as I had already organized the kitchen. I had instructed her to do the master bath and laundry room which she didn't do AT ALL--but said she'd be back the following day to my horror!! This woman should enter a different line of work as she does not follow instructions and basically is a scam artist. She stayed 10 entire hours and barely accomplished anything!! I moved to Houston from Manhattan and have hired professional organizers there. This is not my first rodeo. However true professional organizers never need more than 2 hours (max 3 hrs)--and that's to organize your ENTIRE HOME!! I have no idea what Theresa was doing that entire time as I was busy working myself, but the job she did definitely DID NOT REFLECT TEN HOURS OF WORK!! When I complained to the owner Susan about these issues (and said not to send Theresa back the next day), she seemed to understand and said she would offer me a discount. Well the discount was miniscule and she has been harassing me constantly since that time to pay over $620.00 for this pathetic service!! I am horrified by the shadiness of this company and its owner Susan who appears to be very much on board with this corruption. I have had much BETTER organizers than this woman (in Manhattan), and they were WAY more efficient. I am shocked an horrified by this bill and this scam. I am warning everyone--DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM!! These people are out to get your money--PERIOD!! And if you hire them, you will ultimately be billed THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS in the end (unless you fire them first as I did) as this is their business model. And you won't be happy with the work as you will be paying through your nose for it--and they in no way deserve the amount they charge you Trust me, you will be clueless just as I was because they present themselves as fair and professional--until your are shocked at the end by their MASSIVE bill . Unless you're willing to pay this company the equivalent of probably an entire month's mortgage payment (or more) after only getting very AVERAGE results (and their organizing rooms you didn't ask for while ignoring those you did), do NOT HIRE these people. And now I have this woman pretty much STALKING me to pay this ridiculous bill. I will obviously pay the bill as this is my own fault for hiring this company and not doing my due diligence in advance. Stupid me--I should have insisted on a their giving me a quote in advance--which actually I did on Yelp--but Susan never given me one. Now I see why. No one would ever hire this company if they were honest about how much they intend to charge you. I know I definitely would never have hired them had I known in advance about this scam. I am a physician, so I'm not sure if this was done to me because they assumed I they could get away with billing me an exorbitant amount, but that dog won't hunt. I know fraud when I see it. And this is fraud, plain and simple. I intend to report Sunflower Strategies Organizing to the BBB and the Attorney General of TX (whom I happen to know personally). This company's fraudulent business practices and their disgusting attempts to take advantage of people by bilking them for huge amounts of money in exchange for subpar services--MUST be exposed. AND IT WILL BE!!
