Custom closets. Easy to work with sales person. Cost was a little on the high side. But well worth it. The quality of work was good.

My family and I drove nearly 40 minutes from Bridgeland--through traffic--because we had a gift card to The Container Store. We hadn't been in years, and we thought it would be a fun family trip to revisit a store we used to enjoy. When we first arrived, we were greeted warmly by the store manager, Christi, who was kind, professional, and had a genuine smile that set the right tone. The store was not busy, so it was fairly quiet, and you could easily hear my children's laughter echo through the aisles. My son is four--curious, energetic, and, like most toddlers, has a knack for exploring things he shouldn't. My one-year-old daughter giggled as he climbed into one of the large bins--yes, the sturdy, weight-bearing type designed to hold storage items. Of course, as any parent would, I told him to get out. He didn't listen immediately (because, well, he's four), but he wasn't hurting anyone or causing damage. Had anything happened, we're responsible parents and would've made it right. That's why I was completely shocked when an employee named John came marching from the opposite end of the store with a stern, unpleasant expression. Without so much as acknowledging us--the parents--he looked directly at my children and said, in a sharp tone, "Hey kids, get out of there because if you break, you buy." Then he turned and walked away. Not only was this incredibly unprofessional, it was completely inappropriate to speak to someone else's children in that manner. You don't approach toddlers with jargon they don't even understand. You address the parents first. His tone, body language, and delivery made the situation feel unnecessarily hostile and condescending--especially toward two very young kids who were simply being kids. Whether John was having a bad day or just lacks basic customer service skills, it was unacceptable. It left me embarrassed, upset, and frankly appalled that this was how a paying customer and her family were treated--especially in a store that prides itself on organization, sophistication, and service. Although Christi was not aware of what had happened during our visit, her calm and gentle spirit at checkout reminded me what great customer service should feel like. She treated us with genuine kindness and professionalism, completely unaware of the negative experience we'd just had with her employee. Unfortunately, her warmth wasn't enough to undo the damage caused by that interaction. This experience has completely changed how we view this location, and sadly, it will be the last time my family and I shop here. I sincerely hope The Container Store addresses this type of behavior and ensures no other family is ever made to feel the way we did that day. read more

We've frequented The Container Store since it came to this location. We were so happy to no longer need to go to the Galleria location as we live closer to Champions. So over the years we've had numerous times to give reviews but woops. We've had incredible service every single time. All the employees are outstanding. We've had Elfa installed in our home! We've had super easy returns over the years and happily loaded our cart up again! 1. Service - There's usually a number of helpful workers wandering the aisles to assist customers. Everyone is very knowledgeable of their products or will direct you to someone who knows more. I have worked personally with Justin to design my garage, and I can't thank him more. 2. Price - it depends on your budget. It can be quite expensive, but you can have them calculate the total, and you can buy everything all at once, or buy one section at a time. If you are budget conscious, wait for their 30% off sale. That's usually in December, but they have random moments through the year that they may have this (multiple times too). 3. Ambiance - contemporary interior, and everything is categorized nicely. 4. Products - It's not a home depot hardware store, but they sell things that entice people that loves to organize, or if you are a huge Marie Kondo fan. Haha. If you've never seen that tv show, you may not know what I'm talking about. I love the Container Store because of their Elfa Products, and after your first project, you can kind of plan things on your own. 5. Cleanliness - clean store floor and restrooms too. I visit this location about once a month (thanks to the Pandemic) and I usually have a great experience in-store and via curbside. I recall visiting once shortly after Get Organized premiered and my order was not ready on time. I had to wait in store and a woman was very apologetic and politely asked me to wait while she gathered my order. When she realized one of my items was out of stock. She kindly helped me find a suitable replacement. With all of my curbside orders, an employee brings them to my vehicle and states my name before placing it in my trunk. Sometimes I order via my account and sometimes I order via my husband's business account. When I visited this past Saturday, December 19th, I was disappointed in my curbside experience. I picked up two orders - one for me and one for my husband. The first young lady comes out, says my name and puts the order in my trunk. I wait a few more minutes and an older woman came out, flashed the name on the bag towards me and said "is that it"? and then put in my trunk and said thank you before I could even respond. The problem is that she literally flashed the name on the bag so fast, I had no idea what she was trying to show me or what it said. After she walked back into the store, I realized what happened. She couldn't (or didn't want to attempt to) pronounce my husband's Nigerian four letter, two syllable name. Sigh. If she didn't want to verbally say his name, she could have at least given me the courtesy of verifying that the name on the bag was correct. I hate that she asked a question and did not allow me to respond or even process what she asked. It was pretty dismissive. I ended up getting out to verify that I received the correct order - which I did. Suggestion: Let's give all customers the courtesy of confirming their order regardless of their name going forward. You could even take it a step further by educating yourselves on how to pronounce names by simply asking the customers themselves. read more

I've admitted it to myself. I really am OCD. I have this relentless pursuit to organize things. With labels. Neatly. Oh, I love the Container Store. It has everything to feed my compulsion. I can organize my closets, my pantry, my cabinets, my spices, my cooking essentials, my drawers, my cosmetics, my . . . My, oh, my, I am a bit OCD, aren't I? I can find everything here, in every size, every shape so I can put everything where it needs to be! A place for everything and everything in its place, right? Feed the obsession! Sometimes I can't find exactly what I'm looking for (but I'm always guided to their website to locate it -- what a relief!); also, at times their check out can be like rush hour on the Katy Freeway. They're in a great shopping center with lots of parking. Always nicely organized and clean inside (are they as OCD as me?) with extremely helpful employees. I've been here more times than I think I want to admit. And you know I'll be back. I have an organizational disorder and The Container Store is my fix. read more

This is one of the few places that understand customer service. I'll keep coming back because of the friendly, knowledgeable, helpful employees that work there. Haven't met one person that was rude or dismissive. Unfortunately, many places no longer expect service out of their employees and it will cost them customers. I know my husband and I have marked off several restaurants and stores from our list because of little or no customer service. And we are shoppers and daily restaurant customers but f the experience isn't pleasant and rewarding forget it. Save your money and go somewhere that appreciates their customers. This place is not for you if you like to have random things just "laying around".. no sir, I bet they even have the proper containers for M&M's for the colours for proper sorting. If love organizing then this is the place to be. The store is organized and the staff are great. However I have a hard time imagining who pays 7 dollars or a plastic shoe box. Things here are very expensive and it's hard to imagine buying many things here. But my wife loves it and everytime we are in the area she insists to go inside. read more

An organizers dream. I would suggest just having a look your first visit. Pick a room in your home you want to organize and clean up. Take a mental pic of what they offer. Go home clean and study that room then go back for the things you need. Sometimes target has same items so if cost means anything look there too. I didn't find that much of a cost difference. Terrific ideas and if your on a cleaning/ organizing slump go for a visit. It will definitely recharge you. After my last visit I was able to get my office all in order and the kitchen pantry. They do sell alot of plastic. I know plastic is bad for the earth. However other containers can get do gross, break grow bugs whatever but we don't allow cardboard or boxes on house. I am writing on the behalf of my friend who had a very unpleasant experience at your store this evening. With hopes of purchasing storage for their shoes, my friend was only met with harassment by one of your employees. To be specific, they were followed through out the store between each aisle and constantly bombarded with passive aggressive behavior that only reflected bigotry. In the climate we are in, no person of any orientation should feel threatened or unsafe while trying to purchase from your store or any other. While checking out, my friend reported this incident to clerk in hopes of reaching management. So I hope this moment get taken serious because in no shape of form should this behavior be tolerated. I was at The Container Store with my wife today to purchase one simple item. Because of my medical background, I know the harmful effects of donning a face mask. So I went in the store without a mask and was quickly approached by a "masked" employee. She offered me a mask if I didn't have one and I declined the mask based on "medical" grounds which our illustrious governor outlined as one of the acceptable exemptions. The employee politely acknowledged my response and left us alone to continue our shopping. After finding the item, we were approached by another "more important" employee who reiterated the same dialogue as the other employee but this time she added "it is company policy that all customers are "required" to wear facemasks and if a customer doesn't comply then they cannot shop at The Container Store. There was no sense arguing with the employee because she was citing "Company Policy". We paid for the $2 item and left. I will NEVER patronize The Container Store no matter how much of a discount is advertised. This type of insanity is quickly becoming pervasive throughout our communities, cities and States. Citizens are quick to broadcast "our rights are been infringed" but few take the time to research 1) the validity of the mask policy/rules. 2) what changes occur to your body when rebreathing CO2 and low levels of O2. It is clearly evident that herding the masses to obey commands/edicts regardless of how ridiculous it may be just serves to empower those that pass such orders/decrees. I, for one, will not surrender to this blend of tyranny - dictatorship. read more

The salesperson was helpful but only after I kept asking prompting her. I went in for a specific item, they did have only 1 left but it was soiled and looked like it had been returned used. She assured me it wasn't but I can assure her it absolutely was. Dead give away... it was removed from package, dirty, worn down on the corner. Please don't argue w/customer when the proof was there. At least say "we try not to take used items but it sure looks like it doesn't belong on the shelf." I asked it they would discount it. Sure! 15% off! REALLY, that thing needed to be zeroed out. No thank you. I was going to leave but then thought "how about another store?" Wouldn't you have thought that would have been her suggestion? She did find it at The Woodlands store. Can they ship it? The employees at this store have the worst customer service. I was given conflicting information by two different employees. I simply inquired as to why that happened. This was followed by yelling and inappropriate comments. I appreciate the employees that are working at this time despite the COVID 19 crisis but this does not give anyone the right to treat customers poorly. read more

Love this store, but the prices are just a bit high. If you need a container, shoe rack, door hook, office storage, etc...this is the place. We just had them virtually build me a small laundry room rack, clothes hanger of the Elfa namebrand....the price was $340. We went to Lowes, built the same thing for a third of the price. It was 2 drawers rather than 3 , and it was Rubbermaid brand , not Elfa, but hey, it was $110. We have shopped here several times tho and gotten many useful items. Great store, helpful and knowledgeable salespeople and plenty of parking. So glad I only live a few miles away. read more

Absolutely love the staff at the location in willowbrook. I ordered a new elfa closet system and had it installed yesterday. There was an oversite on my end that they were able to accomiadate quickly. Kelly, Chris and Jennifer really know what customer service means.
