I called customer service to fix a problem with my new beehive irrigation device. The live agent was so incredibly rude when I couldn't see the reset button because of the dark location and angle of vision. He responded "Oh my god". I told him not to be so rude. He walked me through the fix and after the conversation was over he thought I had hung up and he said "Idiot! that's the dumbest person I have ever talked to." So I said what did you say and he gasped and hung up. I called back only to get him again and I said are you the guy I just talked to? Let me speak to a supervisor. He hung up but at least I got his name. Tyrone. I was IRATE at the service given and how they allow people to talk to customers. He should be fired. Bought the b-hyve irrigation controller system. Only after you get it do you learn it only works with a 2.4g network. Not 5g. How crazy is it that an advanced irrigation system only works with a less advanced network. Also, during set up it appeared to connect, but then would not work. It also asked for the model number of my product but NO model number was listed in the box. Don't buy. read more

I bought the Orbit 21005 B-hyve Bluetooth Hose Faucet Timer, GRAY But then realized in the b-hyve app itself, when you go to My B-hyve | Devices | Plus Sign to Add a device at the bottom | This is a new device You'll get that list of devices you need to choose that you intend to add. You'll see in that list a "Gen 2 Hose Faucet Timer" (SEE MY ATTACHED PHOTO) which appears to be a newer version of "Hose Faucet Timer". But you can't find that Gen 2 anywhere! If there is no Gen 2 why is it listed here? I wanted to find out because if there is, obviously I'd want the newer version. But this Gen 2 is not on their website! So I called CS to explain this to them. Their CS kept going on about "yes we have a gen 2, but it's the wifi hub". I kept saying I know what that is, I have that Gen 2 hub, I'm talking about what your App is showing me, which is an option to add a Gen 2 Faucet Timer, I'M AM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE HUB. I said what is that Gen 2 faucet because I can't find it anywhere, even on your site! so is it discontinued? Did you once have this product and then now you don't? And if you did have this product and do not, why the heck is it still showing up in the b-hyve app as a device you can choose to activate?!! CS: I don't have that information. I bought three electrically controlled brass irrigation valves, and all three had hard-to-stop leaks on the bonnet, body and threads. Now made in China, they only look like the USA valves made during the last 40 years. I will by more for Champion-brand at $30 more next time. One call was never answered and the next there was a solicitation for an emergency alert device (I've fallen and I can't aget up thingee.) Update 6/24/22: I finally received a call back from Orbit. I received it because I found an old email and replied to that. I got an auto response but actually got a phone call later. He was astonished the email link was not there and immediately said he was escalating it to fix the problem, which has obviously been going on for a few months. Orbit is impossible to contact. I have tried their customer care team both by calling the number on the website (800) 488-6156. Three times I scheduled a callback and did not hear from anyone. I also tried the texting option at (801) 797-2319 with no one ever responding to the text after the automated system assured me "A member of our Customer Care team will respond as soon as possible." Their product, Traveling Tractor Sprinkler, stopped advancing after owning it for less than nine months. I received an Orbit Gift card for $100 to use to replace the tractor. I have a 12 zone b-hyve that I bought at Lowe's a couple of years ago. I'm working on replacing my lawn and am capping of many heads, so I'm testing manually as I go. Walk out today and the controller shows no signs of life. Replace battery and reset and nothing, outlet is powering fine. I have read everything I can online and could test this down to see if it's the transformer or a board but after reading these reviews I think I'm just going to cut my losses and buy someone else's product. I have a call into Orbit CS said a callback would be within 30 mins but that ship sailed. Orbit is completely off my list of irrigation supplies. I was having problems with my Orbit 12 year old lawn sprinkler valves mid-January, so contacted Orbit by email. When the water is turned on to the sprinkler system, the valves wouldn't close indicating a solenoid problem affecting all 5 valves, maybe due to the colder weather and/or their age. Additional water pressure from a booster pump would cause the valves to close. Brandon responded and eventually advised me as to which replacement solenoid to order, which I did. They arrived and clearly do not match the old solenoid, having a much larger screw in base (see pics). I contacted Brandon who informed me that they do not accept returns. What?!? I was never informed of this. I'm sending them back anyway, along with a copy of my email correspondence where Brandon directs me to the solenoid I was to order. What company doesn't accept returns if they screw up?? I ordered 7 sprinkler heads and received 5. There were no signs of tampering on the package, and the weight shown on the package was clearly far too light for 7 heads. I have two separate SMS threads with Orbit on this, both by following their contact web page. One thread started 2022-06-29, the second started 2022-07-04. Started one thread through phone call and their IVR system, the other thrrough SMS response. In both cases the response was that I should receive a call within 30-60 minutes. Like others, no call has ever been received. On 2022-07-05 I indicated to Orbit I would be disputing the credit card charges, yet got no response. More follow-up from me since, but no response. Finally filed dispute with CC company 2022-07-07 and advised Orbit of same. 2022-07-08: Received a SMS response from Orbit aobut 30 minutes ago, asking about product and quantity information so they can deal with it. Based upon complaints from others, I'm not at all confident they'll ship product and complete the order. read more

This credit does nothing for me, because the B-Hyve irrigation timers are completely sold out on their online store. There are literally dozens available at my local Home Depot and Ace Hardware. Worst customer service ever! I got a brand new timer. it was defective. They replaced it with a refurbished timer, which is also defective. When you call, an automated response says they will contact you. The next day, at any time apparently convenient to them, you get a text from a person simultaneously answering you and several others, so it often takes 10 minutes for each response from them. After 3 days of texting, they agreed to replace, only Orbit online is Sold Out of All products (Amazon and other stores have in stock. Only the manufacturer is Sold Out.) I was sent a text that they would "reach out" to replace my defective timer, only they never did. There is no repair person, you can't speak to a person, wait times for them to get back by text are over 24 hours (or never?), they don't follow through. People who have a working device like it. Purchased brass impact 3/4" sprinkler on tripod for $89.99 from Tractor Supply in June 2023. The leg connection broke in July 2023. I called Tractor Supply and they directed me to Orbit Warranty. A robot conversation promised to send a code to my phone that would allow me to order a new one from Orbit. Now November and no text message. I'm having the same problem with Customer Service that everyone else has had. I called Orbit yesterday, got the same recordings and texts telling me I'd receive a call back in 30 to 60 minutes... That was 24 1/2 hours ago. (And I was actually idiotic enough to wait in front of my computer for the callback because my issue has to do with the timer program on my laptop not "agreeing" with the app on my iPhone.) I really like the timer that I'm trying to contact Orbit about, and I was considering buying another one to replace a different brand of timer in another area of our property. I doubt that I'll do that now that I've read and have my own personal experience of how abysmal Orbit's customer service is. And what makes this even more irritating is that they have no problem sending me LOTS of emails pushing additional Orbit products... -- BTW, I just called the number James H. listed in his review: 385-500-4775. I was trying t place an order on their web page but when I got to the Pay now button, clicking it did nothing. It was like the link was missing. After a long pause she replies that there is no problem with the app. it must be on my end. Regarding the question about phone orders, she replied, "only thing I can do is walk you through we don't place orders." I couldn't resist so I replied, "If I can't pay, a walk thru wouldn't help much.. . I'll get it from Amazon". It cost me $6.10 more but it is worth it! Called & left voicemail twice for return and no return calls. Texted and was told they would send new wheels for me to put on. Not interested. Got refund return label and sent next day. Received on 10/3 and was to get credit as soon as received. Texted 10/6 and was promised answer in hour. No call back in 6 hours waiting for it.
